Overcooked! 2

For a multiplayer game the support for Macs using controllers is abysmal at best. Using Steam Input to make up for something that should have already been baked into the game natively is just stupid. If you have a Mac and plan to play with a controller, don't do it. It's not worth it.

It's a great game to play with friends! my wife and I have a lot of fun with this game, both remotely and on the sofa!
The game encourages a lot of collaboration and communication... yes! we've screamed at each other... :D

This game is so addicting! I love the fact that it has different game modes, maps and so much more! Along the way I managed to collect various funny characters to customise with. It's even better when playing with friends!

Multiplayer features do not work on Linux. Online resources are confusing.

one of the only games that challenges me and makes it hard to put the controller down. Plus it's the only game me and my brother have never fought over and could bond for hours over

I bought this game to play on macOS with two Xbox controllers. The store page says it's supported—well, surprise, it's not. This has been a known issue for over five years, and the developers are aware of it. I'm not expecting a fix, so I'll be returning it as soon as possible.

I like this game! We have been playing for 60 hours. It's pretty interesting and I really like DLCs which give me more options to cook more dishes. I can play with three friends, which is really fun.

This game makes you absolutely hate your best friends until they do exactly what you say and then all of a sudden everything is fine and dandy. Great game. Highly Recommend. Friendships... increased. Trust, not.

One of the best games I have ever played in my life. This game does not wait to hand out the challenges right of the bat.
The look and the uniqueness of the levels is comparable to no other with a mix of infuriating and well designed levels. The level curve has also been excellently defined, as replaying the older levels felt significantly easier and helped us recognize our improvement in the game.
100% recommended with 2 or more people.

Basically a chaos machine. Perfect for parties and other close ones. Brings out the worst in you, so brace yourself. ;)

The game appears to have no screaming at all, which i thought was part of the game but it was from my friends & family instead.

game is fun in the first few rounds, but getting ridiculously stupid from the 10th stage beyond it, i prefer fast pace cooking but everything being stationary not just moving around as it pleased

I've got a lot of hours on both Overcooked games. I've beaten both games and many DLC.

Positive:
Amazing couch game. The levels are very imaginative and all round fun. Love the look, the feel, the sound and even the story has been improved in this squeal. I'd say it's as good as the first game. Totally worth the purchase and the time spent. I see it as a throwback to couch games and does it very well.

Negative:
I don't care for the online mode. Though you might. My biggest complaint is that it took probably 30 hours to understand why I couldn't go into certain unlocked levels, where I didn't have enough stars to enter it. The game doesn't explain this. You need to add an explanation or if I'm just an idiot and missed it, then have the player prompted when you try to enter a level. The throw mechanic added to OC2 is great but it would be nice if you could change the controls and put it on another button so you don't accidentally throw food. There are sometimes bugs where an ingredient just won't go into the blender, frying pan.. You pull out another and it works. The transition between screens with the vegetable coming at your face and back again is very annoying! Get rid of it!

A wonderful learning experience, that leads to rage fueled anger within the first 2 hours. I already played the game, quit, and came back to playing it at least 3 times, and it has only been 5 hours.

I love this game. Making food with others while being timed and trying to find the best strategies for cooking with your friends are some of the reasons I love this game. Enjoy stressful moments with companions, being rushed by people you call friends, you would love this game, it is simply made for you.

really shows how you synergize with your friends/girlfriend/wife/husband/partner. A very fun game to play together too. I love the idea and concept. ^w^

enjoyed a lot. very good to play with 2-4 friends. can be competitive but also doesn't have to be - can be both played for fun, or as a test of skill.

Works very well as a butt workout with how hard i'm clenching these cheeks.

It does not support cross-play with Xbox platforms and require me and the Xbox users to buy the same game again but in another expensive version that has the same content as the first and second together in order for cross-play to be a thing. If a game such as this that can be played with other people and doesn't fully support cross-play with all platforms and moreover needing to buy other items in both sides to have that same functionality, which well could easily be added in this game, it is just not worth the buy.

This problem could very easily be fixed considering there is a version were it is already fixed.

Recommended as a form of premarital counselling. Play it with your partner and see how you two react when you are under stress, getting in each other's way, coordinating terribly, and pushing each other off cliffs. Then decide if you still want to get married.

This was such a blast!!! It had all the varying moments from hilarious, full of laughter to all the way intense, frustrating. I managed to complete it 100% including all the DLCs. Kudos to the creative team for putting in efforts to all the levels. If you have a friend to play with it, you won't regret buying this.

Worst game to play with your significant other if you value your relationship. This game really tests your coordination skills as a couple.

Had the most friendship building and friendship ending arguments while playing this game. 11/10 game!

games is fun but it can be a challenge to be able to complete some levels after the beginning of the game. the game stacks so many mechanics against you that make it almost impossible to enjoy the game casually without having to sweat your butt off simply to pass a level with just one star.

usually play this on xbox and switch, makes you hate everyone you play with due to the intense chaos and screaming that occurs, 12/10 multiplayer

It's fun, engaging and imersing. Playing alone is okay, but playing with your friedns make the experince 100000000000000000000000000000 Times better. Just buy it on disccont. My friend gave it to me for 10$. It is quite pricy. And if you don't want to wait for a discount, and you have firends. Then don't get it, but if you do or you can covenice them, it is worth it.

It's a fun game to play with others; it works as a litmus test for any relationship or person. Do they get too angry? Maybe they have other issues. The trick is to stop when you start getting serious about it as your tolerance disappears.
It gets funnier and harder as the levels progress. The story is also quite amusing. Love Kevin.

Overcooked 2 is basically Hell’s Kitchen. One minute, you’re calmly chopping onions, and the next, your friend is yelling because the kitchen is on fire while another accidentally throws rice into the abyss. 10/10, a true test of friendships.

very fun with friends and family, absolutely worth it. one thing, i would like a setting to change binds for controllers, because some of them are not as comfy to play with with the original controls.

Fun but stressful when the map moves on you and you need plates.
