I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.
Thank you.

Best Regards from Colombia! ^^ ;)
thank you, for this amazing game, Michael ♥
The premise of this game is simple; 6 individuals are lost in a quiet, snowy little town. They are all searching for this one mysterious artefact which is thought to grant knowledge and understanding. As per the store page, in game there is no prologue or story for you to read, you are shown a vibrant and intimate picture of the whole town after you create your profile in the woods outside of it. A gently snowing, night scene with hopeful melodic music chiming away in the background. The softly blowing wind occasionally piping up, along with the odd patter of footstep.
From there, you meet each of your 6 characters through the personality options: distant, focused, capable, giving, enduring and renewing. Selecting any of them drops you straight into the game and you are left to explore the town at your leisure.
The lack of instructions are thankfully not a hindrance, it is pretty intuitive on how to move your characters. You can use the standard wasd keys to move, with writing embedded in the scenery to give you instructions on how to complete the puzzles. A big hint is the name of the personality you selected, it will guide you on how to move through the town and collect the notes needed to find the artefact.
In many ways it feels like an exploration of depression and trying to find your way when you are feeling lost and unsure of where to go with life. You feel like you are fumbling around and trying different things in order to achieve an unknown or vague goal.
The art and music are the biggest clues in this game on what to do, and as such there is a lot of focus on creating distinct borders for each of the characters to really tell you what you need to know about each of them. The spirits have their own modes of dress and look, which seem to tie into each other, though don't give much else of a hint about the reasons why each one of them is searching for knowledge and understanding.
The scenery is great to look at; stylised and the desaturation of colour gives the impression of a sleepy town winding down for the night. Each area is distinct and in look and reflects a lot about each of the characters.
The music also tells you a lot about each of the characters as well. As you move through the town and explore different areas the music changes; industrial in the hospital, angelic in the cathedral and in the whimsical vibe in the forest. The background sound of whirling machines and laughter of children create atmosphere and breathe life in to the story.
It is a great little puzzle game which I think is exploring depression, the puzzles do require a bit of thinking but are not too challenging. A great balance which can be hard to find sometimes. The fact that all the story is told without any words is impressive and it is fantastic that the developers relied on only the visuals and music to tell the whole story. It is a novel way to share a mental health experience and I certainly enjoy it, definitely a game worth experiencing.
Fun & beatiful game!
Clever puzzles with a chilled out atmistpher and music
A must play game
Simply broken to where completion is unachievable
Upon revisiting this game, it's actually pretty cool and deeper than I realized.
Original Review: I found the story to be very confusing and hard to follow. Worse, it seemed to have nothing to do with the actual puzzles.
