You are Drew Blanc, animator of The Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun Show. Life hasn't exactly turned out the way you planned. Your boss, Mr. Schmalz, has it in for you. Your creativity has left town. And just when you think it can't get worse... it does. A freak accident involving electronics (don't ask) spins you headfirst into the WHACKED OUT and not-so-warm-and-fuzzy world of your own cartoon creations.
To get home, you'll need to unravel the secrets of these loony lands before they unravel you. Out smart demented clowns, out shock cross-dressing livestock, and outwit the diabolical Count Nefarious! Send someone an exploding turkey. Watch Spike the Clown torture balloon animals. And, if you've got any energy left, try preventing an all-out war between the cartoon forces of good and evil.

Finished it few days ago. It was in my backlog for around 20 years since as a kid I saw a review or just advertisement in some gaming press (don't remember exactly what I saw). FMV, real actor in toon world, Christopher Lloyd, everything made a big impression on me. Finally, as a new year resolve, I recollected old memories and started to play games I wanted to try as a kid.
I was afraid if it would turn out be mediocre at best, but in fact, it's the opposite: I've got everything I expected for all these years. This game is amazing, I really loved every minute of playtime.
Fun game! I played it on a call with a friend a while back and i honestly had a lot of fun! There were some areas that stumped us but other than that, it sucks i wasn't born in the time this came out. sucks we never got the sequel
If you're not a die-hard fan of point'n'click genre and you didn't have this game back in the day as a child - just stay away.
It is difficult not to appreciate an effort there such as a live footage of Christopher Lloyd incorporated, voices of Curry and Castellaneta and a lot of cartoon intermissions (not all of them of decent quality though), but but but. But in terms of gameplay Toonstruck is as random as a classic adventure game may go. First couple of hours are mostly OK, you know what you should do (even if you rarely understand what for you should it exactly), but later the game just throws some weird stuff once in a while, leaving you wondering what is going on.
There are almost no puzzles per se and in my opinion the game at times even fails to provide correct hints (for example, for a books puzzle in a castle). So you just have to figure out how to combine items that are usually not combined even in cartoons.
So, if you want to see the good sides of Toonstruck, feel free to watch them on YouTube. If you want to see bad sides, well, play the game!
Technical note: I played this game on Deck. It is barely playable out of the box, but with some small tweaking it works just fine.
Charming as all hell, but I cant help but feel the cancelled sequel was desperately necessary to make the story properly cohesive. Still, the game is fun and the characters are, again, extremely charming.
Love this game the nostalgia was *chefs kiss*.
