This game is awesome. There is more to it than I thought, and I'm enjoying the learning curve so far. Music and art is really nice. Combat is fun.
An underappreciated hidden gem on Steam.
I love this game. It has so much heart in it, from the graphics to the (stellar!) story and dialogue. Good music, and again, just a stunning tale that was told. You can tell there was a lot of love poured into the combat animations, too. Super impressed and would love to see more from these devs/their corner of the world.
Some of the more critical details: Sometimes there were graphical artifacts, small gameplay issues, and performance would lower when having the game open for too long. Also keep in mind that the aesthetics and resolution are more reminiscent of 2000's PC games rather than modern graphics- you'll enjoy the game much more if you let it be itself and not expect it to look modern. For completionists, I believe some of the achievements are bugged; still, managed to get all but two (due to bugs).
Regardless, as said before, I found this game worth playing and I'm glad it gets to tell its story.
I desperately want this game to become a series. Kiro'o Games don't give up on this amazing concept!
It's undeniably rough, but if you stick with it this is an impressively ambitious game with a unique, creative combat system that's fun to play. I'm looking forward to more from this studio.

Text Review:
-The game has great African inspired architecture and style with a nice asymmetrical feel and somehow some of their weirder designs don't feel out of place (Remember bird jetpacks) but visually there are some issues such as edgy sprites when viewed from afar, limited animations (Especially during cutscenes) and while the powers look good, sometimes they can look like overlays
-The music is good and unique with African instrumentation (It's rare that anything sounds too familiar but the something silly is happening track for levity is perhaps too silly and the main combat track has a repetitive quality in that sections play twice before moving on to the next and the whole thing loops noticeably at the end if the battle lasts that long but I didn't mind it too much as the game isn't that long)
-Good, methodical combat (Arguably repetitive but once again the short length meant it doesn't outstay its welcome and the Steam page claims there's more you can tease from the combat system if you're better than I am) but you can easily get stunned or fall victim to a damage cascade but that's the price you pay for a loose feel that's actually a positive rather than negative.
-You also don't have to grind and can unlock and level up a whole lot of legacies that offer 3 different mostly elemental attacks each which is a nice spice (If they are reskins to an extent)
-The non-combat elements (Puzzles, platforming etc.) are decent but not amazing... they offer a change of pace and this game has one of the harder moral decisions in a video game I've had to deal with in a while (Bohiri's family)
-Great world-building and mature story that doesn't just bend to sentimentality (The brisk pace, stilted feel and some heavy-handed writing may detract from the quality though but that is harsh)
-The English localization also has its issues which can detract as well
-Also, the game does have a general feeling of unrefinement
Practical Concerns:
-Great value (R1.77/ $0.17/ £0.13 per hour for me)
-Kind of big (13.08 Gb)
-Surprisingly hard to run on the warhorse
Had this game on my Wishlist for quite some time. But in the end, I played it only for a few minutes before I requested a refund:
- The animations are not that good. I saw this in the videos and was willing to put up with it.
- I disliked the controls. They felt a bit off. Especially, when some hitboxes didn’t match the things they were meant for.
- Storytelling and dialogue feel awkward. I finally quit after I talked to a young girl in the village (at the age of primary school?), who only wished for one thing: Her future son be as nice as the prince (the players' character). Wasn’t the only piece of weird dialogue I ran into.
