When I first booted up Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood, I was filled with eager anticipation. The vibrant art style, the quirky humor, and the promise of chaotic battles had me hooked.
But alas, my excitement was short-lived. As I ventured into the game, seeking fellow legionnaires to join me in the fray, I was met with nothing but deafening silence.
The lobbies were empty, the servers desolate.

I really enjoyed this game, completed it!, the boss on this game is Legendary!, Its one of the greatest bosses in gaming history!, Whats not fun about that?

Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood is a game that tries to be funny and action-packed, but fails miserably at both. The game is a cartoon-style third-person shooter where you play as a lone soldier fighting against an endless horde of rebels in a nameless village12. The game has a small campaign with various objectives, such as defending civilians, escorting a tourist bus and killing chickens13, but they are all boring and repetitive. The game also has a ranking system that allows you to unlock new outfits, accessories and weapons1, but they are mostly cosmetic and do not affect the gameplay much.
The game’s graphics are dated and ugly, with low-resolution textures, bland environments and stiff animations. The game’s sound effects are annoying and repetitive, with the same screams, gunshots and explosions over and over again. The game’s music is generic and forgettable, with no variation or mood. The game’s humor is juvenile and crude, with blood splattering everywhere, chickens exploding into feathers and civilians running around in panic24.
The game’s difficulty is either too easy or too hard, depending on the level. Some levels are a breeze to complete, while others are frustratingly hard due to unfair enemy spawns, poor cover options and lack of checkpoints. The game’s controls are clunky and unresponsive, with awkward aiming, slow movement and unreliable air-raid support25. The game’s length is very short, with only six levels that can be completed in less than an hour5. The game has no multiplayer mode or any replay value whatsoever.
So uh, meh?
This was the greatest suprise of my gaming life, I loved it. I bought it cause of guns, disregarding faceless lego men. Its super low spec, and cell shaded simplified, so it runs great. You do have to deal with being part of France's empire, but its a lot of fun imperializing.
For a mere 150 MB game, this stands at par in everything. All you have to do is stand your ground for 10 minutes (which certainly you can change) and deal with the innumerable waves of enemies , with each next wave unfolding more enemies than before. A plot as simple as applying peanut butter over a sandwich with not-so difficult campaigns and not-so tough enemies. The environment-settings and character-details give more like lego appearance . But all-in-all, it provided a benign shooter experience for someone who wants to set their hands first into crosshair-shooting and becoming more dexterous and adept in taking a bullseye at enemies before jumping into more intricate and competitive shooting games. Its like a training classroom for turning into a proficient shooter for more advanced and multiplayer games. But if you are not looking for improving your shooting and just have some fun, this game atleast gonna stands to your expectations if not exceed beyond your expectations. Go grab it before the chickens flee away.
I hope they didn't harm any chickens into making of this Ketchupy-blood game. Although, I did harm some while having a bucket of KFC alongside playing the game. I deeply apologize to all the players out there for feeding onto flesh of poor chickens solely to indulge my senses into getting the taste of that delectable outer crispy layer.
This really isn't a good game. The biggest problem is that the aiming isn't precise enough. It turns into a grind to try and raide money and level up The "Help" screen is minimal--there should be a tutorial or a detailed explanation of the mechanics. On top of it it has bad AI and significant bugs: it's easy to trick the last enemy in a wave into shooting at you, mostly missing as your health regenerates, and to just wear down the level timer that way. I generally like simplistic, arcade-style shooters. This isn't a good one. I try not to judge small indie developers too harshly, but I feel like they could have done better on this one. There are better ones out there, and for lower prices too.
Shoot bad dudes who come at you in ever-increasingly frantic waves from all directions. Turn off your critical faculties and shoot anything that moves.
Surprisingly, not so bad as it looks like. Just follow the recipe:
1. Don’t expect too much
2. Buy this game during sale (-75% or more)
3. Play after a hard day or with a cup of beer

Playded for maby 3 min. Verry annoying peeping sound, the whole time.S oldiers twisting around 180 degrees and shooting on em felt like i was shooting right true them.
Shame looked and could be a good game if it not was because of those bugs.
A simple game filled with mindless fun, but held back by some weird flaws. The difficulty scales poorly, making you feel like grinding on lower difficulties for unlocks. The controls are weird, and the weapons don't seem to hit properly, making accurate shots feel like flukes more than anything. Cleaned up and it would be a lot better. As is, might as well just go back to Crimsonlands.
Worthless game. Rip off at any price. There's nothing there... it's a joke to call this "mini demo" a game. Countless free games are better than this, like "Wolfenstein HD," for starters. Scammer company.
Don't know why people hate this game. Sure its not amazing, but for 1.5 $ its not bad. Its fun in short burst and the perfect game to play while waiting for a game to install or to download.
Good for time-wasting on a smartphone or tablet.
Not good for hours of fun on a PC.
It's a really simple third-person shooter where you defend yourself against invading enemies, earn money for every mission you complete, and buy yourself weapons and accessories. Literally, that's all it is. You can shoot chickens, if that's a redeeming factor to you.
In addition, I think this game is poorly optimized. The requirements aren't too demanding, and yet, my framerate hits below 30 even on Simple graphic settings (you can tell it's a Unity game). Here are my specs:

I wouldn't even buy this for $5; I'd rather have this game on my tablet with frequent advertisements for free actually, I wouldn't even buy or download this for free at all, period.
A fun little lego man esk fps, simple gameplay but fun.
Few weapons and difficulties to choose from to keep it from getting stale, the same could be said for outfits.
Game also has fun little easter eggs.
The game also doesnt have hard achievements so if your an achievement hunter it is worth a look at for some quick achievements.
The game missions are pretty cool to, they do vary from defend an area, to escort and just survive.
The game is pretty short but is good for killing time or if your bored from your main game i.e. dota 2, tf2 etc

I liked the graphics, but I didn't like the gameplay.
Aiming is awful in this game. And quite often I spend a lot of ammo trying to kill an enemy, which forces me to get more ammo, which prevents me from defending the objective. *Sigh* I don't want to play it again.
I played this game for a total of 2 minutes and I realized its true purpose. As a CIA agent I found this game to be a spectacular mechanism of legal torture. I have used this in Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Syria, and Hoboken NJ. After cleverly sitting a terrorist down in a very friendly manor and coaxing them to play Buckets of Blood, the game does the rest of the work for me. After being attracted to the simplicity of the game, shortly thereafter you are racked by terrible sounds and even worse music. As they mindlessly drone onward through a level they are racked with invisible glitched bad guys and are given no sense of direction. My favorite part is how when you are just about to finish any level, they programmed the game to crash just as you are done, rendering all you've done useless. All I have to say is for $4.99. it's much cheaper than a cloth, bucket of water, rope, chair and time worked from me. This game gets a 10/10. After playing for little over an hour i have completed all the missions and then you unlock extreme mode and endless mode. There is however replayability in this game. In order to conquer extreme mode i think you would need some of the higher up level guns so you have a small grind to get there of a few hours. Nothing highere than level 20 im at 10 in an hour so there is that.
The levels all playout the same really with small things to change them defend something static and your quite confined to an average size area to do it. There is little bits of cover out there and things to climb for height but there poorly implented and you can just stand in the open if you want to.
There no crouch or prone just stand and jump. No sights just right click and it makes the 3rd person view zoom in a little. Except the sniper rifle but other weapons have sights on them.
But there is an arcade feel to it as you can achieve headshots and blow bodys to pieces for extra points if you want.
The points become cash for all your upgrade some cosmetics ones and some very basic buying of weapons but no customized weapons just as ther come.
It plays nice and graphics are ok at best running in 1080p on fantastic setting the (highest one.
Overall lot of mindless fun to spend on a quick break or mindless afternoon but nothing more. No story no depth just ARCADE FUN.
I copy and paste this review to both "Foreign Legion" titles, because they are just the exact same game, except for the possibillity of playing with other players and some maps that were not imported into the multiplayer part (!).
It is brainless, stupid horde-based enemy shooting and nothing more. This may entertain you for about 2 hours, but don´t expect anything else, the game is really not worth your money or time and I don´t know what to love about besides the humour + the Multi Massacre is a bug Massacre as well. DO NOT BUY THESE!
A fun little over the shoulder shooter with clunky customizable soldier fighting against waves of enemies. It ain't perfect, but it is certainly fun and entertaining for its price. 7/10

Foreign Legion, Buckets of Blood is the perfect example of a developer creating a casual game that's not simply a frenzied money grab. Despite being an incredibly simple game, and an incredibly small one at release, the developers have worked hard to improve every single aspect of it.
While the lower difficulties are pretty much impossible to fail on the harder ones provide genuine challenge. The leaderboards and small meta-game will keep the game interesting beyond the initial 30 minutes of excitement.
The LEGO-style graphics are cute but not very pretty and the sounds are about what you'd expect from an indie title.
Probably the most important thing you need to know about this game is how much bigger it has gotten since release. Any review written before the major content updates should be considered invalid because the amount of content that has been added by the developers since release is truly amazing and something that we as gamers should reward in this age of Season Passes.
I really didn't like this game. It just doesn't feel right. The maps are way too simple, and the missions are as well. The shooting just feels off. But that could all be just me. Maybe it's because it looks too much like a budget game (which it is, obviously, but still).

A cartoon like 3rd person shooter where you must protect the citizens of an unknown area. It's you versus the world so you'll need to arm yourself and this game has a very nice arsenal. From Dual pistols to Miniguns and even rocket launchers and calling your own airstrikes. Player custimization is also available with a wardrobe of amazingness. You also get rewarded for killing chikens.
