The Story isn't interesting at all. The gameplay is broken.
I won't play it again on my free will...
I like Arbaaz Mir. He is like a young Ezio Auditore da Firenze
Hunt for the Kohinoor Diamond with a love story twist. There all cliche Indian stuff in one game. But good fun though. Recommended!!! BTW its side-scroller!
I was optimistic going into this game, since it was the sequel to chronicles china and i really enjoyed that game. I chose to ignore the negative reviews i saw and gave it a chance. Unfortunately, this game simply didn't live up to my expectations. Out of the 10 levels in the game, 5 of them are time-based, and the methods through which you complete the level have no impact on how you're scored. Chronicles China had a couple levels like this too, but they were still enjoyable because you didn't see those levels back to back to back like you do in Chronicles India. Ultimately, I was wrong to not listen to the negative reviews, because it truly is egregious how frequently you have to play the time-based levels.
It's not all bad though, I personally think the new items and mechanics are a good way to build on what Chronicles China did. I had initially planned on playing Chronicles Russia too, but I couldn't bring myself to try it after my experience with Chronicles India. Out of the three games, the only one I can recommend is Chronicles China.
7/10 will not come again

🏆 C-Tier Game
TL;DR: A slight improvement over ACC China with better mission variety and a more refined experience. Stealth remains the core gameplay focus, and it introduces new mechanics that add some extra depth. My review of this is nearly identical to ACC China, because it is nearly an identical game.
🎮 Gameplay & Mechanics
Very similar to ACC China but with a few more tools and mechanics that make it slightly more fun. The focus is still entirely on stealth, with brute force combat still being a near-impossible option. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, just comething to keep in mind. Some sections were frustrating, and I had to look up a guide a couple of times when stuck. The level design is solid, and there are some nice mission variety changes compared to China.
🌆 Story & Atmosphere
The story is an improvement over ACC China but still isn’t a major highlight. Like ACC China, the story doesn't really matter for the overall experience. I am not even 2 years removed from completing it and I do not recall anything from the story. The gameplay though, I do remember and that is what will stick with you.
📟 Steam Deck Experience
Played exclusively on Steam Deck LCD and experienced no bugs or issues.
🔄 Replayability
The scoring system encourages replaying levels for higher ranks, so there is high replayability.
⚠️ Miscellaneous
Achievements have been added on Steam for this game in late 2024 after being out for nearly 10 years on Steam. I completed a full playthrough of this game on a Steam Deck LCD in 2023. I no longer have the Steam Deck LCD and upgraded to the OLED in between that time. There is no Cloud Save feature for this game, so I have no progress from then. I am unable to load up the game and get achievements that I otherwise would have earned as a result. That is a me issue, but thought it was worthwhile to note here.
🏁 Final Verdict
Recommendation: Yes, if you liked ACC China. This is a small step up.
Price Paid: $2.99
Worth It at That Price: Yes.
Puzzle platformer with terrible controls, skip
Very Addictive Game... I Liked it so much
Dear Ubisoft, I can tolerate a number of issues in your games like character clipping through walls, poor performance or low frame rates, bugs or crashes, incorrect game content… but this game is absolutely horrendous. I deeply regret purchasing and playing it.
Let me begin with the only redeeming quality of this game: the cutscene art. The slides with flower patterns are a highlight and the only reason I endure this appalling game.
Now onto the unbearable gameplay. I’m not being harsh on a game made 10 years ago but it’s bad in so many ways. I’ll keep it brief because I don’t like to dwell on the negatives.
(1) Timed Missions: The most significant issue is the excessive number of timed missions that are incredibly strict on the player. Escape from a moving laser wall; outrun an elevator; stealth pass guards while chasing your target, long jumps between boxes...Oh wait this one is a joke. There’s a room where you pull a trigger to make 4 boxes move up, clearly you need to climb up. But just look at the poor guy Arbaaz, he has to do Olympic record breaking long backjumps and literally grab the air beneath the box to pull himself up. Is this really necessary, you can't come up with a better puzzle design? Anyone doing this in real life will crack his balls.
(2) Highly repeated levels;
(3) 2.5D made it difficult to locate where you land;
(4) Uninteresting gameplay due to limited interactions, enemy types and collectibles;
(5) Unpolished Mechanics. If you stand a bit far the throw knife won't cut rope, yet the game doesn’t explain this.
(6) Extremely boring story.
I’m done listing but that's hardly all. If you hate someone, gift this game and ask them to play. It will torture them. Frankly, I should be compensated for playing it.

A Journey Through India: A Beautiful but Brief Assassin’s Creed Experience
Game Name: Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: India
Rating: 7/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆☆☆
Game Review
🗡️ My Experience:
As an avid fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise and having played almost all of its main entries, I was intrigued by Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India. Being Indian, this game had a special significance for me, offering a rare opportunity to explore a period of Indian history through the lens of the Assassin’s Creed universe. The setting, in 19th-century India under the Mughal Empire, felt rich and immersive, especially in the portrayal of architecture, landscapes, and cultural elements. The vibrant colors and intricate details made the game visually appealing and provided a sense of authenticity.
While the story was engaging and tied well into the overall Assassin’s Creed lore, the experience felt slightly too brief, leaving me craving more depth. The characters, especially protagonist Arbaaz Mir, were compelling but didn’t have the same level of development as in the main series. However, as a fan of Indian history, I still felt a sense of pride seeing my culture represented in a game like this.
⚔️ Gameplay:
Unlike the main Assassin’s Creed games, Chronicles: India adopts a 2.5D side-scrolling perspective, which initially seemed like a departure from the franchise's usual format. However, I quickly found that this style was quite effective for the kind of gameplay it offers. The platforming and stealth mechanics are well-executed, and the parkour-style movements feel smooth and fluid. Navigating through environments and planning stealthy takedowns was satisfying, especially since the game encourages creative approaches to completing objectives.
The combat system, while functional, lacked the depth and variety of other Assassin’s Creed titles. It felt somewhat simplified and didn’t offer much room for improvement or advanced strategies. However, the level design, with its different routes and hidden paths, kept things fresh and provided a decent challenge. The puzzles and stealth segments were the highlights, and I enjoyed exploring the environments to uncover secrets and hidden objectives. The visuals, with their hand-painted 2D art style, were beautiful and showcased the vibrant diversity of India.
🛡️ Conclusion:
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a solid, enjoyable experience, but it doesn’t reach the heights of the main Assassin’s Creed games. Its shorter length and simpler combat mechanics may not satisfy hardcore fans of the franchise looking for a more complex, immersive adventure. However, the game successfully delivers a unique look at Indian history and culture, with a visual style that stands out among other Assassin’s Creed titles. While it’s not without its flaws, especially in terms of gameplay depth and combat, the game offers a pleasant, if brief, journey through a rich and historically significant period of India.

If you have played Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, and even the least bit enjoyed it, then I highly recommend getting this sequel! Although the game, once against, carries over issues of keybindings from the first--which are remedied by simply using a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard--it takes what worked from the previous game and greatly expanded and improved upon it!
First and foremost, you are capable of knocking out guards as well as pick-pocking awake ones. This is a core feature of the franchise, and has been around since the first game (Assassin's Creed), so it certainly felt absent in the first Chronicles game. Furthermore, the smoke bomb returns! This is such an important tool in the Assassin's arsenal, and I often found myself wishing I had it instead of the firecrackers in the previous game.
In addition to the improved gameplay, the game feels much more three-dimensional than its predecessor. Whereas China did offer crossing along the Z axis, I recall that no sequence offered more than three close planes. In this game, however, there are times you zipline and parkour deep across several layers into what was otherwise the background. This, together with detailed backgrounds of buildings, add much more depth to the game than what was previously seen in China.
Now for those who haven't played the first game of the Assassin's Creed Chronicles trilogy--which it's a tad strange to start with the second or third installment--Assassin's Creed Chronicles games are side scrolling speedrunning games best fit for a handheld or controller. The games record your progress per level (Sequence) at every checkpoint you reach, even displaying your time spent between the previous checkpoint and your current one, your times spotted--these games reward stealth the most and borderline punish combat--and how many non-important enemies you've killed. It rewards you with upgrades, depending on whether or not you've met the minimum point requirements per upgrade. The games can be replayed on their New Game Plus (Plus) and a challenge New Game Plus (Hard Plus) that stack your scores to your previous completed run, offering upgrades that can only be earned on a NGP. With this, you can challenge yourself and try to beat your times or scores from your first run.
Overall, and especially when compared to its predecessor, this game gets an overall thumbs up from me, and I genuinely recommend it to any Assassin's Creed fan looking to explore the lesser known games. It's a treat to "ghost" like a true Assassin!
I spy with my eye more assassins over here. Out of the the mobile assassin creed chronicles Trilogy,I find India the most fun. It’s not as perfection run as China is. India story continues where china left off, just 300 years later. You’re still going after the magical stone in this game although it’s more about the assassin caring about his princess. To be honest this game feels more like an Prince of Persia game than assassin creed due to the focus more on parkour than killing. The game is more colorful than the last that when you kill some one, Indian art patterns pop out. Kinda reminds me of grunts in Halo with the birthday head shot skull ability. The special weapon you character gets in this game is the Chakram. You can use it to cut ropes or distract guards. If your wanting to get into this game because they are part of the Asssasin creed world than you will get a different experience. However just because it is original from mobile device does not make this game short. I do wonder how many assassin we got in real life. 6.5/10
"This work of fiction was designed, developed and produced by a multicultural team of various religious faiths and beliefs."
I don't need to know that and it is completely irrelevant and pointless information and I don't need to see it every single time the game is opened. This is the virtue signaling way of saying "This game was made by a group of human beings". Yeah, no sh!t.
I just purchased this game about a week ago, today was the first time I got to play. After playing most of the other Assassin's Creed games, I am greatly disappointed in this version. It seems like they want to go back to the 90's in the graphics of this game. Extremely poor and greatly disappointing. I do not recommend purchasing this game even if it is on sale for as low as $2.00. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN UBISOFT!!!
Another crummy AC chronicles game
**Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India – A Vibrant Adventure with a Unique Twist**
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India stands out as a refreshing take on the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Set in 1841 during the British colonization of India, this 2.5D side-scrolling platformer beautifully captures the essence of the country’s culture, architecture, and historical intrigue, offering a unique experience that diverges from the traditional open-world format.
### Visuals and Art Style
The art style is breathtaking, drawing heavily from traditional Indian miniature painting and vibrant color palettes. From lush jungles to opulent palaces, every level is crafted with intricate details, immersing you in the rich tapestry of India’s historical landscape. The visuals truly set the game apart, creating an atmosphere that feels authentic and alive.
### Gameplay
The game focuses on stealth and platforming, staying true to the Assassin’s Creed roots while adapting them to a side-scrolling format. Players take on the role of Arbaaz Mir, an agile and charismatic Assassin, armed with tools like the chakram and smoke bombs. The gameplay challenges you to think creatively as you navigate guards, traps, and puzzles. While the stealth mechanics are rewarding, they can occasionally feel unforgiving, especially for players new to the series or the Chronicles format.
The addition of optional objectives and collectibles adds replayability, encouraging players to master each level and earn higher rankings. However, combat can feel clunky at times, emphasizing that stealth is the preferred approach.
### Story and Characters
The narrative is straightforward but engaging, revolving around Arbaaz’s mission to recover the Koh-i-Noor diamond and protect his loved ones. While the story doesn’t delve deeply into character development, it serves as a compelling backdrop for the gameplay. Longtime fans will appreciate the nods to Assassin’s Creed lore, though newcomers might find it less impactful.
### Sound and Music
The soundtrack is a highlight, blending traditional Indian instruments with modern orchestral elements. The sound design complements the stealth-focused gameplay, with subtle audio cues helping you plan your moves.
### Verdict
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is a visually stunning and engaging spin-off that offers a fresh perspective on the series. While the side-scrolling format may not appeal to everyone, it’s a must-try for fans of stealth games and those looking to explore a culturally rich setting.
⭐ **Rating**: 7.5/10
A captivating journey through 19th-century India that, despite minor flaws, delivers a unique Assassin’s Creed experience.
Please give me an award if you like my review! 😊
AC India is definitely a bit shorter than AC Russia & AC China, but the fun & challenge were both definitely there, taken from both previous games. The gameplay was great, elements taken from both AC Russia & AC China, which I really appreciate!
The graphics and art styles were tailored to have the players immersed a bit in Indian culture. Arbaaz was fun to control.
Although I definitely don't understand the ending much (Who's Ethan though.. =.=) but maybe it was explained in the Documents section and I have not read them all.
Definitely will replay the Hard Plus difficulty someday,
9.75/10 for me. No elephant riding =)))
Shove your piece of shyte launcher deep in your arse and fuck off.
India as interesting as China part in the chronicles. Russia part is annoying af. Hard af for no reason. I have spend 4 times more time for Russia part. Whoever decided to make Russia part harder - f u
Juego con una historia completamente irrelevante y sin sentido, y una jugabilidad tosca
definitely the best of the Chronicles trilogy, in terms of both form and function. The gorgeous, vibrant visual style really captures the essence of the region it's portraying.
good game nice new added features but harder then ac china
