Pretty good overall, I like the story line, character line-up and design more than the 2nd . Works on win 11 OS unlike Injustice 2.
Old but great. If you like Dc and mortal kombat get it.
It doesn't have the gear system from IJ2. Both thumbs up!
Absolutely awesome.
Great story, great combat, great character roster, great game.
I highly recommend this game, especially if you are a DC fan.
Injustice: Gods Among Us or Imbalanced: Gods Always Win is an unforgettably fun but heavily imbalanced video game that captures the feeling of pretend-fighting your childhood friends and classmates as overpowered superheroes with absurd made-up super moves but requires serious dedication to learn and master for competitive play. Despite NetherRealm Studios releasing several patches to address balance issues, some characters remain overturned and underturned. Oppressive top-tier to mid-tier characters throughout the years, such as Batgirl, Martian Manhunter, Superman, Scorpion, Black Adam, Deathstroke, Lex Luther, Zod, Doomsday, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, and Killer Frost, essentially invalidated a large portion of the roster. Barely functional low-tier characters such as Shazam, Ares, Joker, and Lobo lacked complete viability. Although the stage interactables can make the game fun and exciting, they were broken and unfair game mechanics, especially the pig on the hook and the dumpster. Nonetheless, this game offers an incredibly diverse base roster, with every character playing a role in the compelling story mode and a solid, well-picked DLC roster. Unfortunately, Ares, Deathstroke, Doomsday, Hawkgirl, Killer Frost, Lex Luthor, Raven, Shazam, Solomon Grundy, and Sinestro did not return to Injustice 2. Regardless, Imbalanced: Gods Always Win is an excellent first solid entry in the Injustice franchise.
superhero game me like
PROS:
- Really good game. Story is your usual Elseworld multiverse story, there is even a cartoon movie about it, but with different plot.
- The best AI in fighting games I have ever seen, seriously, Very Hard CPU doesn't even let you do something, it will just wipe floor with you non-stop lmfao.
CONS:
- No Supergirl, seriously? I guess, they didn't add her, otherwise, it would be too easy to defeat Superman.
- The overal design, colour palette, and character designs of Raven, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn, and some other characters, I didn't like them. I mean, the levels and the costumes look grim and dark. Some characters like Raven, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn, and some others are straight up ugly. I don't say turn DC into a kindergarten, but it doesn't need MK palette, which got uglier year by year after late 2000's. What I am saying they should have used true DC colours and design rather than turning it into "Mortal Kombat, but with DC characters."
EDIT (10.03.2025): button functionality is bugged AF. Like I can't even play S.,T.A.R. Labs, because G key doesn't work, the game just stays on the mission brief scene. Also, noticted that this applies to Wager system, too. Like when an enemy wagers me, I can't pick my wage, because at that moment of the game buttons are not responsive for some reason SMH.
Now here's an unheard-of idea, Superman, But Evil... Anyway, I don't really enjoy these types of games and after finishing it, I remember why. They love to treat this game like it's a movie with 90-second fights in between, which I mean can work but it really just messes with the passing half the time. Characters make stupid decisions just to get into fights and plot revolutions are quickly brushed past and just ignored half the time. If I were in charge of making this "game" (it's a movie) I would try to bring depth to a lot of the characters because Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman(kinda?) at least try to have character, however, they don't flesh out anyone else, like playing the game you'll ask why characters made choices before the game started, like Why is Hal Yellow? Why is Barry not with Batman after they killed Oliver, Why reveal that Nightwing is Damian if they literally do nothing with that, it would have been cool to see the scene where Damian killed Dick and not just have it as a throwaway line. I honestly think it would have been cool to have a lot of flashback scenes and fights to add character to a lot of these people so instead of just telling us what happened we could see it. Next, the fighting is very dull and boring, I feel like I spent 20 minutes in the tutorial and then still didn't understand how to play the game. The QTE's were also just uninspiring and felt like they could have been improved. I love the concept of injustice I just wish they did more with it. Can't wait to play the sequel and find even more plot holes.
I really need to watch the animated Injustice movie.
.
old but still hanging on.
I'm sure 99% of people don't read the reviews. So you may not know that Naruto can be a bit harsh sometimes. You may not know this, but Naruto also grew up without a father. In fact, he never met either of his parents and never had any friends.
The Jiggler Killed me 10/10
Great game and story
still fuckin incredible
fun
I beat it on VERY hard mode and did not get an achievement for it v.v Good remaster with lots of new stuff added.
this game is why i got into fighting games and now i play super smash brothers melee in 2025 thanks injustice gods among us
Can't endorse any Warner Bros product after the recent studio closures.
Story mode was enjoyable, and the plot was quite decent. The voice acting was excellent, and the graphics were impressive for their time. However, I wish the PC release featured real-time rendered cutscenes instead of pre-rendered ones, as it would have helped the game age more gracefully. I didn't enjoy the controls as I prefer the Mortal Kombat style of controls, but that's just me.
use to play this with my dad on his PlayStation 3, i would always pick batman and joker. i also find it funny that they gave lore as to why some moves that should absolutely kill someone just do some damage. Still love this game. 10/10
its og injustice its weirder than injustice 2 its slower kind of feels ancient on gameplay and the look story is terrible but pvp when you find people to fight against and the local multiplayer is great party nonsense to occupy your attention and laugh about i like skins for some characters but id rather some of them having injustice 2 looks like batman and superman and harley quinn look way better in 2 which is okay game has no mods on steam which could add a retexture to some characters and make them stand out a lil more they kind of feel made from single skeleton like bane grundy and doomsday feel same way batman superman and every other character is brawler type with similar face which is weird theres no that unique feature skills are a bit boring and combos are hard to pull of on pc with keyboard due to latency input idk if its jsut me or more people have that problem but if you find on sale its def worth if you like fighting games like mortal kombat and killer instinct
For mortal kombat like fighting combat, I love this story of dc universe.
Awesome fx better than Marvel collection
good game
its amazing and perfect for a 12 year old game
its a really fun game until you see a deathstroke player who keeps spamming sword flip and quick fire and starts teabagging to show this game's netcode is terrible or maybe you just suck at this game for me its both of them
Luv WB! Luv DC! Luv Superman!
Thank u!
Was worried this would be inferior to Injustice 2 but it's maybe even better!
this game is really great and really fun i would recommend to anyone.
It's a good game!
Starting off i think the story and mechanics for this game are top tier when it comes to a fighting game and just the superhero games on steam in general. i haven't fully completed this game yet. So far regarding the base game and its story its really good but pretty short at around 5-6 hours for the story the rest is grind for star lab missions spanning out 300+ challenges (yes, really) and a battle mode which offers about 20+ different variants of fighting modes which is really fun depending on your skill level. However, on the later game modes and challenges they get ridiculously hard and are almost impossible to complete if the game wasn't as hard towards the end i would enjoy it more but for me this game gets a solid 7/10 maybe a 6 would be better if the later game was easier. If you want to get the game to have a fun time though i greatly recommend it. its a really fun fighting game!
Mortal Kombat but with DC characters, however this game is excellent. I remember playing it as a young stupid kid on the Xbox 360, and replaying it feels so nice. The graphics has held up as well imo, and everything else is great. The characters, the storyline, the fighting and such is easy to grasp and learn. I recommend playing with a controller then PC but up to you of course! I also got Injustice 2 and it's also awesome, I prefer this one I think but I like that the 2nd one added more characters, wish they had Batgirl, Zatanna, and Killer Frost though. Sucks they don't, but anyway I recommend this yet again, it's nicely done. And I hate the joker design from Injustice 2 lol, he's an edge lord now. it's terrible, this design is much much better LMAO
Mortal Kombat with DC characters. This one has a decent enough story to keep you engaged. A lot of fun.
ITS NICE
.
My favourite in the series including Mortal Kombats too.
Goodness the graphics are ugly in this game but somehow charming . Has Raven so I can't complain
We want Injustice: Marvel vs DC!
Very good even after all these years. Played it first time.🔜🔜🔜🔜🔜🔟
It is a good game but buy it when it is on discount because it has a rather short campaign, personally this is probably my first real fighting game I have played.
I'm not good at fighting games, but it's DC so I like it
Yes
nice
It's fun for what it is. The campaign gave me a few laughs and I enjoyed it well enough. I doubt it's a game I'll ever play again, but for a quick run through it was a good enough time.
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition - A Nostalgic Fighter!
This game holds a special place in my heart for being so iconic. While the story can be a bit confusing and the mechanics are occasionally buggy, there’s still so much to love about it.
Story and Characters:
The story is a little tricky to follow at times, but I still enjoyed it overall. The characters are well-developed, and the performances are really solid. Each character feels unique, and their interactions bring the story to life. For a game made in its time, the graphics and models hold up well. While they may not compare to modern visuals, they still look good and fit the game’s atmosphere.Gameplay and Mechanics:
The gameplay is fun, but it does have some noticeable issues. Combos can mess up, and the controls are sometimes buggy. It’s clear this game works best with a controller, so I strongly recommend playing it that way for the best experience. The minigames are a fun addition, but they can also be frustrating. For example, some minigames require pressing all the buttons at once (A, B, X, Y or Cross, Square, Circle, Triangle), and these sections almost never work properly. Despite these issues, the core gameplay is still enjoyable, especially for fans of fighting games.Graphics and Presentation:
Considering when this game was made, the graphics and character models are impressive for their time. The animations look smooth, and the environments are detailed enough to feel immersive. It’s an older game, but it still has a certain charm that makes it stand out. Conclusion:
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is a good game with some flaws that reflect its age. The story, characters, and iconic nature of the game make it worth playing, especially if you’re a fan of fighting games or the DC Universe. While the mechanics can be frustrating at times, the overall experience is fun and nostalgic. If you can look past its quirks, this game is definitely worth your time.the game is amazing especially for someone like me who has a laptop with low specs
I enjoy it fine enough but it's probably not worth buying at this point unless the 2nd one doesn't run on your computer/isn't on sale. most movesets are not very fun to play and the writing is laughably terrible, worse so if you already know and like these characters but still pretty cringy if you don't. besides it's too old to ever hope for an online match given that not even the sequel has an active playerbase anymore. all the stuff that it has that is cool and fun is also on the sequel and just done better on all accounts.
Badly optimized, dated qte's. Fights in the Campaign against the other version of the hero are difficult because they look so similar. Fighting is meh, ive seen better, the best thing the game has is the story.
The game was released in 2010s and it's still fun too play. Fighting commands are easy to learn. Should have in collections.
8/10
