There, on the edge of the world, misfortune befalls her. Tim goes out of the house in a fit of lunacy and falls off the cliff. He did not die, but is in a coma. It is not hard to guess that the fall off the cliff and coma are caused by intrigues of the Sandman.
It would seem what might be easier for Laura, having the absolute Power, to awaken her husband? However, being received the Power, Laura has made a commitment not to use the Power for her own benefit. This means that she can’t help Tim to wake up. And she has 2 choices: watch how her beloved slowly dies in the hospital, or have recourse to the help of an old friend again who once helped her when she was in a coma.
When Laura met an old friend (the player), she stops the time to pass by the doctors unchecked and infiltrate in Tim’s ward, and then she immerses the player into the subconscious of Tim, whose body is almost seized by the Sandman.
The Sandman operates under the old scheme: by sending nightmares, he suppresses the will of the victim to resist.
Will the player have time to wake up Tim before the Sandman turns him into his heir?

This is a beautiful hidden puzzle game, however it is quite difficult as the hint system is really bad and does not work. Everywhere it just says there is nothing to do even though somewhere there should be something to do. I would recommend getting this game on a sale. If you enjoy hidden object games, you would definitely enjoy this game.
(Note: This game has numerous bugs. If you use Hint key (say, for achievements) -> It might crash. If you try to get all diary pages for achievements: it will bug out and you will never finish it. If you try to close a small window after exploring it (like the area you "examined") you may not be able to. The rest is below. Good luck!)

I was excited to play the sequel since the first game was fun and the story was intriguing! Until I realized that I shouldn't have been THAT excited... UHM... First of all... Laura can't help herself... But she is helping TIM, NOT herself? I guess you can argue he is her husband, but still... SHE. IS. HELPING. HIM. NOT. HER. Whatever.
If you have trouble playing the game and YOU WILL, unless you are freaking smart as hell and remember where EVERY SINGLE THING IS? You will need the HINT Button... Guess what? IT DOESN'T WORK IN THIS GAME!!! It worked TWICE and even then I already flipping knew wth to do! Like it will say "nothing to do here"... "unexplored areas". <-- Did you know that this means you have to search the area for an item and use the appropriate said item? Also, the Hint WILL NOT show you what item to use correctly in the area.
The only thing that DOES work with the HINT, is dragging an item onto it. But then again, for one: image isn't always clear and two, sometimes it doesn't tell you the right thing. For example: you need to use the gas can (Bonus game) on the snow machine... Guess what? YOU FREAKING CAN'T!!! I was going insane trying to shove that freaking can in there so hard! I would've already shoved the entire can into the damn gasket! GRR! YOU... HAVE TO... PUT THE CAN NEXT TO THE MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!! Then USE THE HOSE! AND GET THAT GASOLINE. YOU ARE WELCOME!
OH AND I am pretty sure you got stuck in the car crash dream, didn't you? YEAH OKAY. Here we go: You know the rag you find? I forget where you get the rag... You can use it on the metal pole! Yeah! The broken off part! You DIG THE GROUND WITH IT! THEN use the chainsaw on the traps! YOU ARE WELCOME AGAIN!
Story... Story... Story... First one was better. This one is like... Okay... Like... Okay... I will save you, but whatever...
And did they forget the name of the Gremlin in Tim's dreams? I thought it was DREAMIE! Yet in the Bonus game she is called Spotted? Spottie? IS THAT MY MC'S GREMLIN?! ARE ALL OF THEM CHOSEN ONES?! LAURA... TIM AND MC?! THAT IS A GIANT PLOT HOLE! Which is never explained...
I honestly don't know how I got through this game... No, nevermind... I USED like 99% of my patience. I was about to quit on that Gas Can part. And excuse me, why is tranquilizing Tim gets the Sandman owned? What happened to him? What's the meaning of having Gremlins in Tim's dreams as well? How is the MC accessing the dreams this time around? Laura's magic? I have like a giant list of questions that I will spare you from.
And BTW this game should be called "Dreamscapes: Nightmare's SLAVE". YEAP! Sandman doesn't want an HEIR! He wants a damn SLAVE! Also, he laughs like Santa... So that's hilarious...
While the first game tried its hardest and became awesome... This one... Sigh... The Gremlins were still cute... Or one of them was...?
Anyway... The last of my patience ran out, so off I go... Thanks for the good parts...?
First of, the game takes maybe 5-6 hours including bonus play. I just forgot to turn it off over night.
I enjoyed this game, my only gripe is that the collective items where often placed just where you click to go forward or backward to other scenes. Other than that it is a decent HOG. It continues the story from the first game, but explains enough to play this on it's own. There are a lot of scenes and the story is alright.
The first installment of this game went way overboard with the hints, including an in-game walkthrough. Unfortunately they have swung to the opposite side of the pendulum now - now there are NO usable hints in the game. I'm in like Chapter 3 (in the family home, maybe that's 4? Whatever) and I am stuck. Every accessible screen tells me there is nothing to do there. Every single one. There is no in-game waltkthrough this go-round and the hint system is totally useless. And I'm not about to spend half an hour or more watching someone else play the game (and having to see all sorts of spoilers). I don't know why but there are NO written walkthroughs for this game, just videos, the absolute most moronic way to present game hints. Only idiots think a video of gameplay is a substitute for an actual walkthrough.
Seriously. The in-game walkthrough was a bit much but NO HINTS AT ALL is even worse. What a waste of time and money. The first game wasn't all that great - I mean what do you really expect from a typical hidden object game.
YES THIS IS A HIDDEN OBJECT GAME because they have hidden objects that you have to find to progress - does not matter whether or not you also have to find some irrelevant items from a list to get the one you want, a feature not included in the first game but which is present in this one here and there. Still hidden objects regardless of the presentation.
So finding yourself totally stuck with the hint function useless pretty much ruins the game. DO NOT BUY. Frankly even Dreamscapes 1 wasn't all that great, but then HOD are basically just time killers anyway. However I resent totally wasting the time I spent killing time because their hint function doesn't.
Its a good HOG.
I just love this game. Not the typical puzzle kind.
My grandgirls, age 4 and 8 and I played this all the time. It's their favorite, because of Benny. I call that Creamy and Dreamy. We love it.

It's an okay game. I enjoyed the play but, unlike the first one, there was too much ordinary in the victim's dream worlds for my taste. It is unlikely I will replay it unless I need a Beholder fix.
Entertaining sequel to Dreamscapes 1. This time hidden object scenes (word list type) have been added, so it's properly called a HOPA (the original is a casual adventure - a kind of light-weight adventure / point and click game). It may be a bit shorter than the original, but there's still lots to do, and the story and animation are good.
Pros:
- It's fun. The characters are a little hapless (especially Timmy), but also more human than these games often portray.
- The art is really nice.
- The HOS are nothing special, but competent. The puzzles are once again well-varied and can be challenging.
- More modern graphics than the original, including better suited to wide screens.
Cons:
- Very repetitive soundtrack - the music is suitable, but needs turning way down (or muting) after a while.
- The translation suffers at the very, very end of main adventure and throughout the bonus chapter. It's not exactly awful, more... oddly poetic but occasionally confusing. The number of grammar and typo type errors is also higher in the bonus chapter. [NOTE: The translation is very good throughout the first game and most of this game.]

What can I say ... OK, I will say something ;) . The story is very catchy, the puzzle are on medium difficulty. I'm starting love more and more this kind of games. Enjoy!
In this HOG u will be playing to save Laura's husband Tim from the evil Sandman. The big difference in this game is that it does have HOG portions while the first one did not have any. Thankfully they added a HOG in this game since I love the HOG portions of the game a lot.
The characters in this game are nice, the VA was nice, bg are very nice. and music I believe was all the same from the first game.
As said in the beginning this game does have HOG which is a huge plus. I also enjoyed playing this HOG. I'll admit I like the first one better than the second one. Also the story on the main and bonus chapter ends abruptly which is such a shame. Yup the main story ends and continues in the bonus story. I really wish the story was longer because as I'm writing this I don't think there is a third Evil Sandman game. I hope a third Evil Sandman game comes out.
All in all u will enjoy this HOG maybe not as much as the first one. The first is my favorite then the second one is my favorite.
In the previous game, you saved Laura from the Sandman, and helped her learn to use her dream powers. Laura needs your help again, but this time it's to save her husband, whose mind has been invaded by the Sandman in hopes of making Tim his apprentice.
This sequal falls far short of its predecessor. First off, I spent about 7 hours in the first game, and just over 3 in this one. It's significantly shorter, with less areas to explore, and the areas are also smaller. The puzzles are there, but there isn't really any grading in their difficulty. They start hard and stay hard, with a couple overly simple exceptions. There's some hidden item events, one or two per each area.
The graphics have improved, but the lip sync is still horrid. The voice acting varies (Sandman is stilted and awkward, Laura is decent, Tim varies by scene).
I enjoyed the first game, and I do like the story, but they kind of dropped the ball on this one. There's not really any progression in plot between the first game and this one, however. It's more like an extended bonus to the first game.
Graphics were ok in this game but they were not outstanding. I did find the games easy. It felt like being led around by the hand to play each section. I like hidden object but it was way to easy. I rarely not recommend games but unless you are just bored I would not play.

Good point&click hidden-object game.
This game has two very terrible attributes. First off there is no skip button for puzzles. In the original game there was but the converted Steam version left it out. I am stuck on a puzzle with no way to get past it. Secondly the mouse cursor does not line up with what your trying to click. It's way off in some cases.
This game is a no go unless they fix the above mentioned problems.
