super fun lil vehicle building game, kind of a puzzle game really. it mostly does really well as far as just letting you figure out how to solve each new problem, though i would suggest looking up a quick video or something about how propellers work to get some basic flight once you reach the second island, the game doesn't really help you there lol
I love making trebuchets, they have to be the most underrated way of having raw strength and power and completely annihilate all structures and cars in its path. I also like eggs
Не знаю о чем вообще эта игра, на самолеты разъeбывaются прикольно, так что норм
still trying it/learning it, but so far the controls are awful, 99% of the game is remapping controls, then creating controls for your siege weapons, thats all the game is, setting controls, so very annoying. It could have been about the fun of creating a siege weapon
the options/ ESC screen is terrible, the game is more interested in you doing surveys or giving feedback than it focuses on just having normally accessible menus lol
the controls that you DO want to remap to make the game's interface actually usable ARENT able to remap, like the space bar, what a joke. the game's trys so hard to be unquie and fancy that it makes itself unplayable, the game would need to add way more hot chicks if it really thinks im going to suffer through the awful UI, controls, hot keys, missing mission objectives, no controls prompts, literally the same type of quality as a adult content game lol
DO NOT BUY this game if you have TWO monitors, because the game doesn't lock the mouse to the screen or even have a option for it, youll be desperate trying to move your awful camera around with click and drag and you'll end up on your other monitor, instead of the game, just a poor quality of life mess. I can't even call these issues glitches, they are literally just design flaws, if their default controls are going to be JUNK then EVERY key should be remappable, which just isn't the case
spent an hour to make a plane, then scrap it for an airship. 10/10 game you should buy it.
Great Game, Multiplayer and construction is fun,
Played this on console years ago and saw it on my recommended today. Getting it again was a great decision. 10/10 game and looking forward to future content.
I built a giant mechanical chicken. 10/10, would cluck again.
you can install plane mods and then do emmergency landings
You build weapons of destruction (planes, airships, tanks, catapults, walking fortresses, you name it) out of stylized medieval components, then simulate it and actually get to blow stuff up with them. That includes blowing up other players in its multiplayer mode.
It's possible to built some crazy stuff in this game, the only real limiter is the physics engine (which struggles a bit with super huge contraptions, as most game physics engines do). You might be thinking that building this stuff is difficult, but the campaign teaches you everything you need to know. Technically speaking, the game is extremely good looking, its audio is immersive, and it runs pretty well.
Very fun, high-quality, and (especially) thoughtfully designed game.
Purchased this back when it was in alpha and then sat on it for years. Came back to an absolutely insane amount of additional content and an incredibly fun, albeit unexpected, multiplayer mode. This game perfectly tows the line between creative builds to radical siege abominations--add friends to the mix and you've easily got hours of fun scrapping war machines. 10/10
Funn games and better with mods, very realistic and i enjoyed doing crashes
The physics and destruction are so good, it's great for making machines and for people who love chaos!
7/10. Mad Engineer's Sandbox
General impression
The game is 100% completed and all achievements are obtained. And I can definitely recommend it if you are interested in sandboxes and like to explore the mechanics and secrets of the game. Or if you dream of building doomsday machines.
The main thing is, do not try to google walkthroughs and do not use mechanisms from the workshop, at least for the first playthrough. Otherwise, you will lose 95% of the pleasure
Plot (no spoilers)
There is no plot. It's just about 60 maps (including DLC) with challenges that motivate you to build different mechanisms.
Gameplay
How i said earlier this game for madness engineer. You will build mechanisms that fly, explode, float under and on water, can throw bombs, pour fire on everything, steal sheep or Kraken fighting mechanisms from various blocks taking into account their different strength, different behavior options and physics. Be prepared to play the piano, as there may be dozens of keys to control the mechanisms.
Positive:
- Enormous potential for research and mechanisms;
- Mechanisms are not only fun to build, but also fun to test out by turning enemy armies into soup with a giant lawn mower and the like;
- Will make you think with your head (BEWARE, you can become an engineer. Dangerous for your health).
Negative:
- On the one hand, this is a plus, but I will still add this to the minuses. The game explains almost nothing about itself, and some things are not obvious. For example, I could not figure out how to build floating mechanisms correctly. There are parts that are responsible for buoyancy, they have some numbers indicated, but these numbers cannot be compared with anything normally. They have nothing to do with the weight of the blocks, nor with their properties. And this is not only with these blocks;
- The game mechanics are unclear. For example, taking damage. And the inability to know which block and why took damage. This only matters if you want to get 100% of the achievements;
[*]Building potential. It's too big, but there's no need to use it, except for your imagination. For example, I beat the vanilla game with one mechanism that doesn't use even 10% of the building potential. This is the reason why some people spend 40 hours (like me) and some spend 3000 hours.

6/10. DLC: The Splintered Sea
Everything is the same as in the base game, only now in water. New parts, new missions. Now you need to come up with new mechanisms, but as I wrote above, the buoyancy mechanics leave much to be desired. I tried to build a yellow submarine with torpedo launchers, but it turned out to be a floating poop
Dispite the fact i've only been playing this game for 24 hours I can see how people can spend so much time on it, it's building mechanics and physics are simple to understand but you still need to think of a way to make your desired solution to the many problems in the levels work, there are also numerious creators that make relistic planes and cars as well as maps that you can download to use and play with, overall, if you like building and sandbox games, Beseige is well worth your money.
cute and all- but trying to figure out the controls is REALLY ANNOYING. it puts you in a level where you have to build a hot air ballon- but never teaches you how to deploy the damned thing. falling is awesome. fuck this game.
Probably the best (at least the funniest) way to get into engineering is by playing Besiege.
The game provides a huge variety of components and even more ways to combine them. And I haven’t even mentioned mods, which provides you an access to an infininity number of components and preassembled machines.
The best part is that everything seems logical here, every game mechanic is based on a physical law, that makes sense immediately, so you don't have to worry about them being illogical.
I spent hours creating weird yet and genius machines and then batling those my friends constructed (I always lost). And if you don't have friends (lonely you), the game has dozens of levels with varying difficulty, each testing your brain from different angles.
With such a low price, I think everybody should at least give it a try!
very very very very very very good game only problem my mods are not working
Alright. Lemme be honest. It is fire being able to fight people with random ahh machines. It is a great game. The only issue: If you have two computers that you use (be it separate houses or stuff) the only thing that I've found to transfer save data is a hard drive
i love this game. its really fun especially for planes, tanks, cars, and more its worth the money
If you like sandbox games and or building stuff this game is a must. You can go REALLY in depth with the building, also there's a lot of fun community content out there wink wink.
You can probably get a lot of mileage out of just the campaign. Replayability depends on creativity.
There's a lot of fun communities in multiplayer if you look hard enough.
I suck at this game. But love it to hell and back. Been here since i "pirated'? the beta(think it was free open beta back then). God bless you devs and God Bless America. But mostly devs. Please release a dlc that makes me better. I'll pay $20. no jokes. My tank builds are failing!
actually nice game, but for me too difficult and therefore not funny. especially if you only play it sometimes.
It is fun! Simple and Interesting with some limitations, runs on any potatoes and is simply fun. In a sense, it feels like a version of digitally animated destructible Lego, with its own quirks.
Honestly not fun, waste of money, not enough content, the endgame is really super puzzlelike stuff that is just unfun, first few levels are decent tho
Very fun game, great physics performance and actively developed, would recommend.
It is a sandbox game that reminds me of Bad Piggies where you create vehicles and contraptions for you to achieve a goal complete a level but this one is in 3D format.
one of the best games i have ever played, you make machines to beat levels and it can be the bare minimun or you can make a complacated machine. you also gradulay learn what things do and you make better and more complex and cooler machines
Very fun game that encourages creativity and outside of the box thinking. No gore or suggestive themes. Lots of different parts to combine to make awesome machines.
Its a must have. Runs well on everything, with limitless creativity, what are you even waiting for? ive had it for years
The only problem I have with Besiege is that you have to download realism packs to get good graphics. Other than that, It's a pretty good game.
timeless classic - great collusions, unique features (tank tracks my beloved), Handles big things quite bad but thats not the point.
its very fun and it has very good workshop items.
Simply fun and has a really good replay value.
this game is perfect for flying planes and crashing them and the mods are free but the game is not but it might be worth it if you get. (9.8/10) would recommend!
It's great i recommend getting a bunch of planes in workshop because that makes it really fun
this game is awesome. i've seen it for years but it never made the cut. got it on sale and it seems like it would have been a great value still at full price. likely getting the dlc for sure if its reasonably priced.
gameplay wise my biggest gripe is that there are an overwhelming amount of pieces when you first start. i enjoy games with built in tutorials (learning on building concepts rather than just reading a script) but also i would appreciate some more guidance on basic functions and some example ways a piece can operate.
i'm not a hand holder but dang, I've spent a fair bit of time WATCHING besiege at this point and im blown away by many of the amazing creators in the community, but i also know it's going to take a seriously long time to build a lot of these really cool pieces (obviously not looking to just copy paste builds).
ALL in all though, even if i hadn't gotten this game on a super sale it's been well worth its money and i have no doubt ill be messing around with this game for a long time. probably should have just bought it 10 years ago so i could also be a sensei now ^.^
A very fun puzzler. I was not expecting to enjoy this nearly as much as I have.
very fun game lets u be creative in a creative way, every couple years i come back to this game and see how far in the story i can get, fair warning if youre dumb like me the game can get pretty difficult
Been playing this game since the early-access days in 2017. It was fun from the very beginning, and it keeps getting better!
- Unlimited building possibilities
- Fun with friends
- Rich modding ecosystem
- Devs clearly care about the community
It's a blast. Definitely recommend.
the crash physics on planes are INSANE
Ok, this one is tough. There are some parts of the game I love, like building your own map and placing grass or trees that takes little to no effort to make look cool, but then there are complex things like triggers, or making a simple machine work in the campaign. A car took me like an hour to make the first time, and I can't even remember how to again. I picked it up on sale so I don't feel bad about buying it, but I just can't recommend.
I've spent 8 hours of my life making the goofiest contraptions imaginable destroy the little men. If you want a game where you can attach a spike to a bunch of bouncy pads then this is for you.
Besiege is one of those game where you get to build cool shits and testing it on destructible structures and some living fleshes
Great game, but keeps crashing on linux Ubuntu 20.04.6.
PT-Br: Ótimo jogo, mas fecha sozinho no linux Ubuntu 20.04.6.
Whimsical, fun, creative game. Produce contraptions ranging from mind boggling chtonic abominations to engineering marvels - any way is just as fun: to fail as well as progress.
Thumbs up!
After 151 hours I have finally figured out how to make power steering and I am now starting with a V8 steam enigne
Beseige creates environment variables at the OS level. There's no need for this, and I won't recommend any game doing it in case other devs see it and think it's ok. Such information belongs in the registry or config files, not in the system-level environment.
this game is a very fun sandbox/ level game you can build what ever you want for the levels or just go into a sandbox you can build anything that you want to complete the level so no one does them the same. Would recommend
