You will go out for a hunt, and you will clear the New York outskirts of all humans with cold blood. You will shoot, you will hurt, you will kill, and you will die. There are no rules, there is no compassion, no mercy, no point in going back. You are the lord of life and death now - and you have full control over the lives of worthless human scum.
You will also run, you will need to think, you will need to hide and fight back when armed forces come to take you down. You will have no mercy for them, because they dare to stand in your way.
Only brutality and destruction can cleanse this land. Only a killing spree will make you die spectacularly and go to hell.

Yes only for the Edgy gameplay you almost cant find anywhere ,and for the badge ,but oh boy it gets really hard in the hard difficulties to go against the Swat Army in the city mission,I like the idea ,i hope they make a better version in the future ,preferably where stealth is also an option ,perhaps first person too
best game in my opinion. nice full action
This is a game I come back to every so often just to do a quick play through of it. It's just a mindlessly fun game with a really great mod scene that likes to meme on the game. It's a short edgy little 3rd person shooter that doesn't take itself seriously.
My name is not important. What is important is what I'm going to write in a comment.
... I just fuckin' despise this world. And the noobs feasting on their shitty games. My whole life is just cold, bitter your mom. And I always wanted to see violence, guns n shit. This is the time of vengeance and no lifer is what I call myself. And I will put on as many trench coats as I can. It's time for me to play something edgy. And it's time for me to play something even edgier than Postal 2. M'genocide crusade begins here.
This game is so abhorrently cringe from how "cool, violent, & edgy" it attempts to be. The comics are ESPECIALLY a cringefest on my eyes (especially since the art style, while it DEFINITELY has its high points, also has its extremely low points. the writing for the comics is also, to put it plainly, ass) but overall, with the help of some user-created mods, I think you can have a semi-enjoyable experience playing this game.
Are you an edgelord who glorify mass and school shooters, while listening to death/black metal like me? Then Postal 1 is the game for you! But this game is funny too, I guess.
The controls are bad. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it's a pretty game, atmosphere fits, the UI is simple, the control binds are obvious and well explained.
But it just doesn't come together well, your crosshair is aiming at head-height relative to a point on the ground that your aimpoint is actually hovering above, so lining up shots is really kind of just guesswork. Collision mechanics, though, are what really ruin the experience. Your character slides against nothing. If you collide with any surface at all, you are stuck until you explicitly direct the character to step away from that object. This is true for everything from NPCs, to houses, to vehicles, to random tiny bits of debris on the ground. I spent more time just trying to get my character un-stuck from the environment than I did actually playing the game. Kinda wish it'd gotten a patch where they fixed that issue.
if you hate the world and humanity its awsome also its a good relaxing method if your really angry and had a shit day
The game attempts to be so violent it's hilarious.
я распетарасил армию США спецназ и палицую. Рачьебал военную базу США и атомну электро станцию, а потом зашёл в Hatred. Спасибо
A fun and challenging isometric shooter that doesn’t drag on, offering enough variety in weapons and encounters to stay engaging throughout. The mouse and keyboard controls are accurate and responsive, controller not so much. The setting is dark but becomes absurd quickly as long as you’re not taking it too seriously. Just imagine your parents looking over your shoulder horrified and you get the point. The survival mode is worth the price of the game alone having multiple levels, characters and unlockable perks to work towards. Perhaps somewhat ironically the game looks beautiful and stylish in black and white with only fire and blood providing splashes of color. Quite artsy. The music comes in ambient and heavy metal flavors fitting in perfectly and getting the right juices flowing at every turn. For fans of Postal and isometric viewpoints. Great for a quick dose of mayhem.
I'm a sociopath and i like this game. But the level of violence the game has kinda low than I expected. I want to eat my victims in the game. And there is no manipulation option before killing.
the experience was so much fun i would definitely recommend this game for all ages 7 and above. i have grown a close relationship with notim portant.
Damn, had a real blast playing this! Ultra violet! And I love the destruction I can cause in this game too!
Also like the nods to, Postal another classic. Hatred is awesome!
I mean... At it's cost and a Very Positive score I expected a bit more.
I know it's not supposed to be some deep game and it's "charm" is just the mindless killing by an edgelord player character. I expected it to be a bit of a time waster but for about 2 euros, why not?
Though when I actually got into the game to play, it has a lot of things going wrong for it:
- The camera is abysmal. When you aim, it has this weird perspective shift which is really, really weird and makes it much worse to actually aim. The perspective is a bad choice because we as a player are unable to actually see where we can or can't shoot so often times an enemy can shoot you through openings/windows which you didn't think were in alignment.
- Navigation is very bad aswell. Some quests require you to do something with X spaces. However, you have absolutely NO map of any kind. The only thing you do have is a black radar-style circle with popups for weapon pickups and side quest start locations. If a (side)quest for example has you destroy X buildings, you have no idea where to find them and need to just go via trial and error until you find the thing.
- Weapon variety wasn't really good. Loads of a certain weapon, all the way to a rare drop of a certain other weapon. You carry your weapons over between levels so once you find the guns you like to use, you'd think you're done and done but weapons all have secluded ammo pools. (I'm not saying a rifle should work off of pistol rounds obviously.) Some of them are extremely rare and become a useless inventory spot while you have the ammo used up. Honestly the least that could have been done was allow using weapons by ammo type and not completely separated by weapons...
The game can get better with the use of Mods of course - as these allow for more weapons and can even change the game perspective to a Third Person, First Person or a VR perspective which work much better for this format. But those are mods and I'm rating the game as-is which I just can't recommend overall.
A bundle for a game I wanted included this, so I got them both. I basically got this for free.
After hearing years of insecure gaming journalists raging about this, I was expecting something at LEAST as dark or disturbing as GTA4. I was extremely disappointed. THIS is supposed to be offensive? Has anyone actually wounded an NPC in GTA4 and heard their screams? That is disturbing, this? This is try hard, edge lord, but not even so much it becomes cringe.
This game is so extremely middle of the road, without mods, its a 6/10 on its BEST day, to its #1 fan. It does nothing particularly special in really any way what so ever, the bad dialogue/writing sticks out but nothing else. It definitely isn't something anyone should be offended by, if I made this game people would be justified in being upset. Nor is it anything anyone should recommend, its perfectly described as something that is just bad enough that its not interesting or funny to talk about, nor is it good enough to be discussed either. Its an entertainment product that would've been instantly forgotten if it wasn't entirely for the delusional gaming journalists.
That said, if you are interested, I STRONGLY recommend you got the First Person/Third Person/VR mod and play it one of those ways.
Overall score without mods;
6/10
I'm a long-time, die-hard POSTAL fan. This game, just, wow. Just buy it. It's probably between $2.00 and $7.00. Just buy it and revel in sin and depravity.
a really good game and i also like this game because it´s like the postal games.
i give this game a 5/5
Я как нот импортант но мне 13 у меня волосы как у нот импортант но мне 13 у меня характер как у нот импортант но мне 13 у меня ненависть к людям как у нот импортант но мне 13
alright to be honest, this game is edgy and honestly that should just give it a bad review. The only thing I like about this game beside the edgyness is the art style. If it had a completely different story then I would definitely play this without feeling sh!t about my actions
This game is poorly designed and repetitive to a degree previously unknown to me.It sort of has controller support but sort of doesn't. Overall it is a poorly made game with a half a VERY basic thought as its premise. Don't even waste your dollar.
It's difficult to recommend Hatred in its vanilla format. Serving as somewhat of a spiritual successor to the first Postal game from 1997, the game has the visual fidelity of an early-2010's title, while everything else feels as if it were literally from 1997. Similarly, the game's aesthetic and borderline-obscene content comes off as less provocative and more exploitative in nature. Postal was effective at promoting high levels of shock value for its era with heavily satirical undertones. Hatred, however, ultimately comes off less shocking and more distasteful in contrast given the plethora of horrible real-world tragedies that had occurred during the 17 year gap between 1997 and 2014. Political nonsense aside, Hatred's game-play is a mixed bag. The linear story mode consists of a handful of large open-ended levels that mostly share the common goal of killing a set number of either hostile or non-hostile NPCs. Each level also contains a set of unique optional side objectives that can be completed for an additional challenge. The game features impressive dynamic destructible environments where literally anything and everything can be completely destroyed, including realistic pyro-physics with fires that spread and can become raging infernos. Each level is full of striking attention to detail, as well. You can freely enter and explore seamlessly-integrated interiors for every single building and structure, occasionally rewarding your exploration with weapons, armor, or grenades.
The biggest problem with Hatred without a doubt is the awful camera. An isometric point of view is not uncommon for a twin-stick shooter, but the way it's implemented here is so abhorrently bad it nearly invalidates the things that the game does well as a frustrating result. There are no options to adjust the camera or change it in any sort of way, leaving you with perhaps the absolute worst one I have personally ever messed with. I grew up in the early 3D gaming era too, so I've seen and dealt with some pretty notorious cameras in games in the past. Enemies, sometimes hoards of them, often spawn out of your field of vision, forcing you to either retreat or blind-fire in hopes of not being killed from gunfire you didn't even know was happening. The monochromatic visual design only makes this more of a frustrating endeavor, and it only seems to get worse and the difficulty sharpens with each passing level. Thankfully, Hatred's Steam workshop has a handful of dedicated and talented fans who have pretty much all but completely remedied not only the game's camera, but nearly every other issue the vanilla game has as well. Hatred is a decent homage and a mostly fun mindless video game, but saying it's not for everyone is a definitive understatement.

Overall: 6.5/10
It's basically like The Sims
Walking around in the neighbourhood and interacting with other people, visiting their homes, getting groceries, satisfying your needs ect
Wholesome game that promotes equality for all. No matter what race or gender you are, you die an equally painful death.
This game is pretty much if vivziepop made postal. It's only purpose is being edgy, there is no greater meaning. Everything the character says is either stolen from postal or it's just trying too hard. If you want to make a good edgy game, let there be a reason for the edginess. Not just for fun. For a game that's main focus is supposed to be guns and violence, a lot of the physics related with such things are good at all. On a similar note, for a game that's supposed to be different and edgy (sorry for saying that so much) it is like every other game I've played. Do not recommend unless you're playing for ironic purposes.
Okay I guess up until the atrocious later levels, whatever honestly.
You're better off pirating it. It's that bad. It destroys your FPS and gets boring quickly. I'll refund this when I feel like it; I'm buying Postal 2, man.
It gets boring after an hour though. Even with mods, it's repetitive -- kill poorly made AI that runs into you, buggy as hell, nobody defending themselves or something, like, come on. If you're gonna make a game about mass homicide (and mass homicide only), then put some effort into the PEOPLE. You know, the main thing you'll be emptying mags into? The flaws really shine with FPS/TPS mods.
TL;DR: You can play a better version of this game by gaining access to a firearm and going outside with it.
One of the most relaxing, peaceful and calming games ever made.
10/10
A Raw and Unflinching Review of "Hatred"
In the realm of gaming, few titles provoke such visceral reactions as "Hatred." This 2015 release from Destructive Creations thrusts players into a maelstrom of violence and nihilism, inviting them to embody pure malice. It’s a game that doesn’t just flirt with controversy; it dives headfirst into the darkest corners of the human psyche, and it does so with an audacity that leaves you both repulsed and oddly captivated.
The Premise
"Hatred" presents a disturbingly simple premise: you are an anti-hero, a cold-hearted misanthrope on a mission to exterminate humanity. As you traverse urban landscapes, the goal is unambiguous—inflict chaos, instigate mayhem, and obliterate every living thing in sight. The narrative, sparse as it may be, is a chilling reflection of an individual consumed by rage and contempt for society.
Visuals and Atmosphere
The game’s aesthetic is brutally stark, with a black-and-white palette occasionally splashed with crimson. This choice amplifies the horror of the violence; each splatter of blood feels like a jarring punctuation mark in a macabre story. The environments are meticulously detailed, from the claustrophobic alleyways to the crowded streets, each location becomes a canvas for carnage. The visceral nature of the graphics pulls you into a world where humanity’s fragility is on full display.
Gameplay Mechanics
As you navigate this hellscape, the gameplay mechanics reinforce the sense of unrestrained brutality. Armed with an array of weapons—from pistols to grenades—you’re encouraged to unleash havoc in increasingly grotesque ways. Each kill is an explosion of gore, accompanied by exaggerated animations that transform ordinary citizens into mere obstacles in your path. The satisfaction of a well-timed headshot or a devastating melee finish leaves a bitter aftertaste; it’s a twisted pleasure that challenges your moral compass.
The Ethical Quagmire
Yet, this very violence has sparked heated debates about the ethics of such a game. Critics argue that "Hatred" glorifies senseless violence and fosters a desensitization to real-world suffering. However, defenders claim it’s a satirical examination of the darkness within us all, a confrontation with the very impulses we’re often too afraid to acknowledge. Is it a reflection of our society’s growing hostility, or simply a product of a culture enamored with violence? The answer is as complex as the emotions the game elicits.
A Dark Reflection
Ultimately, "Hatred" serves as a stark mirror to contemporary issues—polarization, despair, and the very real consequences of unchecked rage. It compels players to confront their feelings about violence, both in the game and in reality. This is not a game that lets you escape; it’s a harrowing experience that forces introspection, pushing you to question the motivations behind such primal emotions.
One of the standout features of "Hatred" is its artistic direction. The game adopts a stark, monochromatic aesthetic, which contrasts sharply with the vibrant worlds typically found in video games. This choice not only emphasizes the grim nature of the gameplay but also creates an atmosphere that feels suffocating and oppressive. It draws players into a world where the absence of color mirrors the protagonist’s nihilistic worldview, enhancing the emotional weight of their actions.
Moreover, the gameplay mechanics themselves are engaging. The fluid controls and responsive shooting mechanics allow for a visceral experience. Players are encouraged to embrace their darker instincts, which can be both exhilarating and thought-provoking. The challenge lies not only in the skill required to navigate the game’s chaotic environments but also in reconciling the enjoyment of gameplay with the morally ambiguous actions undertaken.
"Hatred" also serves as a critique of society’s desensitization to violence. By placing players in the shoes of a character who openly rejects societal norms and expresses unfiltered rage, the game encourages reflection on the nature of violence in media and its impact on players. It’s a commentary on how we consume and react to violence in our daily lives, prompting questions about our own moral boundaries and the consequences of our actions.
While some may argue that "Hatred" is purely a provocative experience designed for shock value, I see it as an exploration of the darker facets of the human psyche. It pushes boundaries and invites players to engage with the themes of hatred, despair, and nihilism. This invitation to reflect on such profound concepts makes "Hatred" more than just a game; it becomes a canvas for discussing the complexities of morality in a world where violence is often glorified.
In conclusion, my love for "Hatred" lies in its ability to evoke strong emotions and provoke critical thought. It challenges players to navigate their own moral compasses in a world steeped in chaos. By embracing the darkness within, it opens up conversations that many games shy away from, making it a unique and unforgettable experience in the gaming landscape.
Conclusion
In conclusion, "Hatred" is a brutal and polarizing experience that leaves a profound mark. It is not just a game; it’s a confrontation with the abyss. Whether you find it abhorrent or intriguing, its ability to provoke thought and stir emotions is undeniable. This is a title that challenges the boundaries of gaming and morality, and while it may not be for everyone, it is a bold statement in a medium often criticized for its narratives. In a world filled with chaos, "Hatred" stands as a chilling reminder of the darkness that lurks within us all.

This is great inspiration for my future self (just a joke do not do any things acted in this game)
So I watched some videos on this game prior, so I knew what I was getting into when I decided to purchase and play this game. It's not for me. It doesn't feel good to play, control wise. After the first level and going through it, I just wasn't vibing with the game. So I can't recommend it. Some people take the game too seriously but it's just a cringe edgy type of content.
Reminds me of Old GTA with less car options and the police always stay on you.
I really appreciate that there 99% no sexualization of females or any bonus rewards for killing females, which is nice for a killing spree game. All equality of men and women getting murdered by the main character and no children at all.
Better than Manhunt, and more straight to the point than GTA. This just a killing game, like any fps, only not fps XD. Can't wait until I finish story mode though.. Story is a bit interesting so far, just your normal angry drunk on a kill spree only without the cash from the dead people and car collection.
it's ok for a couple of hours.
that's about it. buy it on something like 80-90% sales.
over the top & funny shtick but the controls are clunky and the game is generally hot ass
shooting people is not satisfying or fun and the monochrome palette gets boring
instead play 1997 postal 1 for REAL EDGE
Super fun, can be difficult ngl. Overall great buuut also I still recommend postal because its higher comedy still a fun game but very little story.
Kill everyone game that is not meant to be taken seriously, this game is just a fun parody of violent video games. Pretty fun for a couple bucks
This game is like Postal but more edgy. This game is pretty good, it’s just that this game tries to be all edge lord, gotham city type stuff ig. Sometimes the edginess can get corny though.
"American Schools Sim: Bullied weird kid Edition". And the 1.666 mod just makes it better.
10/10 Truly American citizen simulator
Also the protagonist (actually the protagonist is actually an antagonist) is basically Postal dude but emo.
Totally would recommend
They focused so hard on making the game edgy, that they forgot to make it good. 99% of your deaths will be from bad controls and bugs. Constantly getting stuck on the bad level design. Poorly thought out mechanics. Cringe.
This needed a lot more polish.
Hatred was the first game I’ve finished to 100% on Steam in over a decade, and it was also my first on the Steam Deck. Yes, I even conquered the army base on the highest difficulty—on a handheld! The satisfaction was indescribable, like "the most intense drug," and I needed more...
In a world where gaming and society have fallen so low, I found myself strangely sympathetic to Not Important. His over-the-top, edgy lines were so ridiculous that I sometimes find myself revisiting the cutscenes on YouTube just to have a good laugh.
Despite its controversial nature, Hatred delivered a cathartic experience unlike anything I’ve played in recent years. It’s a shame we never got a sequel; the drama it would have sparked could have been epic.
Definitely buy this game, it's a improved version of Postal Redux (at least in my opinion) it's fun, violent, graphics are good.
A very relaxing game, sure it's optimization is in the gutter but it's nothing the only Nexxus mod this game has, can't fix. If you ever wanted a Stop Global Warming Simulator, this is the game.
Metacritic is a joke.
I want Hatred 2.
I don't know what this says about me, but this is PURE SERIAL KILLER VIBES and i'm here for it.
Absolutely love it!
The most satisfying game that ever existed!!
If you want to relax, but cannot really have it in real life, just have your fun in this awesome game!
this game literally tutorial how to become IDF
Playing this with the 1.666 mod is the real deal.
I finished it vanilla first, just to know how the base game is, but man with 1.666 its a different game. Great to blow off some steam.
Get game if you want to blow off some steam and release that inner rage and frustration. Kinda has that GTA OG feel to it the only think you can't do is pull people out of civilian vehicles as you can only enter police vehicles. the Protagonist is what you expect a person who hates society and well basically goes on a rampage killing everyone in his path you have side quests to do and is very straight forward. Key hint Executions are key to survival.
I wanted to like this game, but tbh, its one of the worst games i have ever played, its overrated, underhated, the devs of this game has made some good games, but hatred is just overly edgy garbage.
Cool game similar to postal but w better graphics 👍
