You control Mya, a student who enjoys solving puzzles in her spare time. She attends the Silvestri Schooledge, and lives in a nice house in Meow Village on Catmouth Island. She wants to find out more about the islands' neighbourhood, environment, its mostly unknown past, and investigate what the secretive B3 Corp. is up to, all the while juggling her studies as not to end up like the steak house girl. :3
This game follows the same convention as most classic point-and-click games like Sam & Max: Hit The Road, Day of The Tentacle and Monkey Island, except that it addresses a few of the issues with trying every object in the inventory together to see if they work, and a few other things.
It is created in a low-poly graphical style in which as few polygons as possible have been used to create objects. Very inspired by the games on the Nintendo 64 and Sony Playstation.

I don't enjoy that genre very much, but this game surprisingly interesting.
Funny and relaxing, althought some quests offer a bit of challenge for deduction and attention.
On negative tones, interface is dubious, and bugs are quite often.
Catmouth Island
Positives:
+ Ok idea
+ Some of the humour
+ Retro graphics
+ Colourful and light hearted
+ Ok music
+ All the references
+ Teleport function
+ Autosaves
+ Resonably priced
Negatives:
- The camera view/angle is a total nightmare
- The point and click system is not a good solution
- Cant zoom out enough
- Quirky controls
- The map and highlighting function should have their own button (f.ex. M and E)
- The game does not tell you enough on what to do next to progress
- A lot of running back and forth
- Trial and error
- A lot of uninteresting conversations to NPCs that dosent end in further progress
- No hints or tips (you'll get the opposite most of the time)
- Severe bugs (dosent react to commands, game hangs, game closes etc)
- The game feels so slow, like walking in syrup, even the end scene/credits are unecessary slow
- A lot of frustration and confusion because of the above
What a shame really, this game had a lot of potential. With its cute colourful graphics and humour.
But why did they go for birds eye camera view and the point and click system? Its so awful.
It could have been soo much better if it was in classic third person free view, or even first person view.
And the horrible bugs and the slow progression with close to zero hints on what to do next.
You will be running a lot of back and forth frustrated hoping to find out whatever will trigger further progress.
The game has content for 1-1.5 hours tops. But because of how its made, you'll most likely double or triple that time.
And if it was entertaining and fun, I dont mind, but it was mostly the opposite.
I ended up searching for walkthroughs and tips on the internet, because I had enough of it. And some of the solutions on what you were supposed to do, are just ridiculous, and makes little sense. And thats never a good sign. So if youre wonder if you should play this game, I would say no, its probably not worth your time.
