One Piece Pirate Warriors 3

The game is a decent when it works. But from having to restart my save, resetting my controls every time i boot it and to the game straight up not letting me play certain missions, I can't in good heart recommend it. For some god awful reason in this day and age the game does not like to run on a modern PC.
Which sucks as i truly did enjoy this game as each character has their own unique abilities and synergy's the story mode is well paced and provides solid entertainment and I had hoped to actually complete all the achievements ( even though i was like 85% done crew levels the first time). But the game is preventing my from playing missions that have medals locked behind them.
Get it on sale if its super cheap and enjoy it for a bit but don't bother investing time into it

I really want to enjoy the game but it crashes so frequently that there is no way I could recommend it. Just buy the fourth one if you want a game like this (if that one even works)

honestly a very polished experience but sadly has a lot of grindy mechanics to get you to unlock all the fun characters so unless you really dig the gameplay to the point where you don't mind playing for hours upon hours just to unlock a single character go ahead but if not then pickup another game

The camera and movement mechanics are garbage, where they require you to use both keyboard and controller if you're just trying to play with controller only. Love One Piece to death but damn it wtf happened here?

This game is great as you can play as many characters and play the entire one piece storyline until Dressrosa.

Probably my favorite Musou of all time. (though I say that before playing 4, so that could take over the top slot)

It's much, much better than you'd remotely assume an anime game aimed at fans of said anime to be. Granted, I am also a fan, so hey, but- yeah it's quite good.

The controller situation is quite weird though. Had to fiddle around a bit with which controller I was using to make that work - if your button bindings seem weird, that's probably what you're running afoul of. Oddly, it works perfectly on SteamDeck, no fuss at all, even in split-screen.

80 minutes into the game and you could tell those were still the years where they cared about making a good videogame. :)

The controller set up is all fucked up, I had to uninstall the game. None of the guides were helpful to me. Why do they keep putting this game up for sale, when they can't do nothing about the controller support problem?

This is one of my favorite One Piece games and probably my favorite Warriors game, but don't play it on PC, this port is buggy, unoptomized, has horrible controls, and tho this is more a problem with the game in general and not specifically this port the other issues make it a bigger flaw, it's horribly mistranslated. I love this game so much but if you wanna play it go play it on PS4 or even Switch, the PC port is not worth it

*Randomly crashes, so you need to redo the whole mission
*Some secondary objectives force you to do missions at least twice
*AI is beyond stupid and randomly dies, try again
*Dream log is incredibly grindy and repetitive
*Levels are useless, only coins have an actual impact
*Controllers are not fully supported without tweaks

Worst porting I've seen in my entire life.
Controls are not optimized for PC, long loadings, extreme time consuming tasks to get all the achievements and unlocks.
TERRIBLE BUGS.
Game is unplayable, unless you tweek things in configurations menu, and even when you adjust the game to play, in the last stage IT WILL BREAK, below 10fps for sure.

Core game loop is good, though. Music helps to endure the game.

The game was probably great on console, but it has several game-breaking bugs on PC. Ironically, the WORSE the computer you play it on, the better it will run.

Pros:
- More detailed story
- Some characters and their past counterparts are not available in OPPW 4
- Easier controls

Cons:
- VERY BUGGY (I personally need to read the community a lot how to successfully start some stages) --> this make me not wanna recommend this game.
- Many coins are RNG-based unlockables
- It is kind of fun until you need to unlock the WHOLE GALLERY which needs you to increase your crew level with characters that I CAN'T EVEN CONTROL damn.

gosh i love this game so much like js being able to defeat bosses as nami

played for more than 2 hours, no problem. the BUGS occurred AFTER 2 hours of gameplay (Alabasta Arc).
tried to replay it a few times to get rid of the bug. Failed
tried to refund it. Failed

every time i save the game it just start new when i play with no saving data at all

How do I save my progress? I tried and searched, but I didn’t know. Please, I want someone to teach me.

Just get it during the Christmas sale, the whole bundle was just $5 so i didn't think/check too much. Strongly advise not to buy this one because you might go through the first one or two chapter quite smooth and once you reached Alabama Ch.2, at that point you might already played more than 2 hours that not able to refund, the game just keep crashing and that is so frustrating. Changing resolution to this setting / that setting? I tried. Just save your time, delete this and get refund until it is too late.
KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD. and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment might think this game old and they already published 4 so need not to patch and fix this bug. But this Non Japanese "Takumi" spirit and attitude made me at least think twice and wait until very cheap discount(to cover the upcoming disappointment) from now on for all Koei and Bandai establishment.

The game play itself is really fun, but the things that should be considered are:
1. Control issue from the main menu to entering a map, it's horrible
2. Crash on certain stage at preparation menu or when you on the map (you have to lower the settings to the lowest to be able to play the stage)

I wouldn't recommend to buy it on Steam (or any PC platform maybe?). If you want to play this game, play it on console or just don't play it.

Spent 111 hours on this game with the bad port to PC only because the 100% achievement

So far at least 3 story mission will crash at some point and then you must run it as administrator in order not to crash a game but then the game won t recognize your controller
