Originally played it years ago and was glad to see this classic released on Steam. For me Alien Shooter is one of those games you played as a kid and now fondly remember. Don't think some gameplay details or other descriptions are needed here, either you've played it a long time ago and now want to remember the Good Old Game, or discover this classic for the first time (which is never too late to do). In any case, it's definitely worth playing.
It's pretty fun, although the gameplay is really repetitive. Music is pretty good too and you get a lot of weapons to kill aliens. There is also a ton of blood and gore, so that is cool. Nothing more to say really. Buy it if you like simple games with a lot of blood and violence.

Played this without Nostalgia-Goggles for the first time in 2023;
If you want to turn your brain off and just hold RMB1 to see countless aliens die on your screen you will probably like this.
Hidden walls is a good addition but I hate looking for secrets :|

Very fun and nostalgic game. I wish the enemy pathfinding was a bit better tho
Alien Shooter puts you in the boots of a solider sent to clear out a research facility where it's test subjects have just broken out. Armed with an arsenal so large and crazy it would put the U.S military to shame this classic style shoot em up is almost addictive. Go around looking for the well placed secrets all well you shoot em up, fire em, freeze em, and blow them up. Depending on the challenge you are looking for this game at times can really hand you your ass on a silver platter. With many upgrades as well to help your character progress it gives you a good reason to really check every corner of each map for points and cash. This game perfectly speaks 90's and 2000's era shoot em up games, but with that comes the expected issues from that era as well. The game itself is pretty short myself I managed to scrap 3 hours off making the price more than fair, but once you finish the game there isn't much left to do besides achievement hunt. As well once finished the game-play can become repetitive making it difficult to want to replay. There are also some game breaking issues sometimes the game will crash without warning one of these times without me being able to save losing all current progress. Which can of course be good cry session for most players, but despite these issue Alien Shooter is still a good game the game-play is really what sells here there is nothing quite like being able to shoot a plasma rifle and watch an entire hoard of aliens turn to dust in front of you. 5/10

Wished they retained the old UI upon level completion, but oh well.
At least not much changed, and it's a good thing.
(I have nothing else to say because it's one of my favourite games since I was a child - I remember my family played it on my granny's PC when I was 2 years old.)

It's a completely okay game that reminds me of my old Compaq Presario PC.
Absolute classic, but the last levels are insane and you have to move at a snail's pace to not get shat on
