However, fCon -- Future Control Industries -- has learned of Alan's research and is moving to take over the company. When Alan disappears mysteriously, finding him is up to Jet, his son. Jet uses his father's technology to enter the computer world and, while investigating his father's disappearance, discovers a sinister plot.
Four "primitive" weapons -- disk, rod, ball, and mesh -- are encountered in the computer world, though the disk is the only weapon that can be used both offensively and defensively. Jet will also ride light-cycles, both the classic cycle from the 1982 film and a new "experimental" update from designer Syd Mead (also responsible for the original light-cycle design).

pretty fun tron is great
its tron wats not to like
The graphics, storyline, and gameplay are amazing if you are a fan of the original TRON movie. Legacy has it's own style and is equally amazing but this is just plain fun for the more nostalgic player and even for the newer gamers.
This is the greatest game I have ever played, I have only played a mere 2 hours of TRON 2.0 and I am changed forever. This experience has not only changed my outlook on life but also has made me appreciate what I have more. Without TRON I would be empty and depressed. People, I have found the fountain of eternal youth: it is TRON 2.0. Not only should you play this game, but you should go out of your way to consume as much TRON media as physically possible, it may cure depression, it may cure cancer, it may solve world hunger. With TRON 2.0, no-one will live in poverty anymore and everybody will live a stable and happy life. TRON will be the cause of world peace, it is the only one thing that can bring the world together, even Kim Jong Un logs onto Steam every night just to play TRON 2.0, and damn does he enjoy it. TRON will end global warming, bringing the world back to a stable state. TRON 2.0 will lead us to some of the biggest scientific breakthroughs we can achieve, and it will also lead to the discovery of alien lifeforms. TRON 2.0 will help us develop and understand true time travel, as well as teleportation. The existence of TRON 2.0 will prevent the sun from dying in 5 billion years, therefore saving this solar system. TRON 2.0 will make us immortal, and overpopulation will not be an issue as TRON will lead to civilisation on other planets, somehow even including the gas planets (do not question it, TRON has it's ways). Crime will no longer be a problem with TRON, as TRON brings everybody together. TRON 2.0 will be able to grant any wish anybody asks for, it is a power that is stronger than any other, though it will only grant to those TRON deems worthy. At the end of the universes lifespan we will all be digitized and put into the TRON computer world, where we will all be safe and can continue to build our future together, digitally (and do not worry, TRON is immortal and is not affected by the end of existence, therefore allowing us to continue onwards). Thank you TRON 2.0.
Great Classic every Tron Fan should play if playing on modern hardware use the mooded version with wide screen support and updated visuals

underrated game. it does take some extra steps to get it running these days but it's wroth it. i played this a lot back in the day
Even with it's quirks and outdated design, if you're a fan of action rpg's or Tron in general, I highly recommended this game.
A truly unique game, and the only good game in Tron universe.
It employs a beautiful idea of cyberspace: you've been placed inside a computer as a program, and characters you met and fight are programs, you can even see the names with .EXE with a certain upgrade. You will experience such things as disk formatting, viruses, unstable overclocking, and other interesting things from the perspective of a program.
The only other interesting-enough game which had this idea is AI Wars: Awakening, an old '00 game, sadly not on Steam.

GREAT classic game. Really captures the feel of the original movie.

In 2024 it is even better and more fun... cause it is actually a good game and better than the 2010 Film ;-)
