As an investigative reporter for the Irish magazine “Facts & Fancy,” Sarah Hamilton does not miss a beat as she receives hints that something strange is going on at the famous Bavarian castle Neuschwanstein. In the thrilling puzzle adventure Mystery of Neuschwanstein, Sarah and her new acquaintance Wolfgang Adler, a professor of historical criminology from Heidelberg, find themselves on a dangerous search for the truth behind Germany’s most famous unsolved death—the untimely death of the Fairy Tale King Ludwig II of Bavaria in 1886.
Was his death in the shallows of Lake Starnberg the result of a successful suicide attempt, as the official sources claim? Or was it indeed murder? And who actually profited from the death of the monarch?
This gorgeous castle is more than meets the eye. It conceals secret passages, hidden rooms, and other secrets! Sarah and Professor Adler will have to combine their knowledge and different skills to get to the bottom of things. But that is easier said than done when a mysterious monk starts passing on cryptic messages, and the first dead body turns up.
The ambitious journalist and absent-minded Professor Adler will have to stay on the ball as they carry out their investigation; people are not as they seem, and some of them do not want the secrets of Neuschwanstein to see the light of day. What is hidden behind the polite facade of the castellan Beatrix von Lohen, and what is the Italian building inspector Francetti really up to? And then there are rumors about the “Guglmänner,” though nobody knows what role they play in the web of conspiracies.
Will you be able to accompany Sarah and Professor Adler through this adventure and solve the mystery of the fairy tale castle Neuschwanstein and the unexplained death of King Ludwig II?

This title has quite interesting plot, realistic graphic, clear interface. I recommend it, and I think I'll updeate my opinion in detail soon. I voted for "Labor of Love Award" for this game.
I really enjoyed this game! I felt like I was in the middle of a Dan Brown novel. Lots of fascinating historical tidbits, mystery, conspiracy. The puzzles were not too difficult and mostly enjoyable (though I did skip a few).
One interesting thing is, unlike the usual HOG games, you can use your inventory in the hidden object scenes. So if you get a 'something is missing here' prompt, and you can't find it in the scene, check to see if you picked it up earlier. :)
It was short (definitely not the 10 hours Steam shows), but I recommend it. One of the best HOG games I've played, just for the real-life historical elements and mystery themes. ^-^
(Not sure how to get the "Mechanic" Achievement and sadly... Not going to try and figure it out).
I am guessing that this game wanted for you to feel like a detective and investigate things on your own, solving the mystery in the end.
That's all good and all, but... The game has glitches and a few... Annoying things.
For one, at times interactable objects/people would move with me from scene to scene or even into a puzzle. I mean... It's hilarious at first... Until you realize that it's a mess. Re-loading the game works.
Next: The letters you are supposed to find. They get stuck and you can't read them. It's a trial and error when they will get unstuck for you to take off that "MISSED MESSAGE" red mark from your screen!
The worst though... The worst is that the Hint system doesn't know where the Hidden Object scenes are. You HAVE TO memorize all sorts of things... Especially where an H.O. scene could be!!! And how the hell are you supposed to know that on your first try? If you get stuck... You gotta examine EVERYTHING all over again and hope to find that one H.O. scene to move on...
Also... Tiny objects. Please! I couldn't even tell some apart from where they were! And this wasn't even in an H.O. scene either!
Also x2: Sometimes you need to interact with something that the mouse pointer wont even interact with/change. HAVE FUN!!!
Now if you bypass all that and are all good, how is the rest? It isn't that bad. Unless you get stuck... Or you glitch... Yeah, okay.
I liked the story/mystery and even when an altar was chasing me through every room... It was funny.
The "skip" button is instant and it keeps asking you what difficulty you want to play... Every single time you start the game. o.O
Complaints aside... Not hating on it. It is what it is and it's fine.

Cardinal rule of hidden object games: When you find the "object", there is no doubt you found the right thing.
This game has 5 different brown-tinged metal keys and it asks you to find the "Brass Key".
No way not to have to guess.
Bad game! NO! Bad!
