Good game 9/10, would like a sequel but with Disney owning LucasArts, I think its better to just let this story end open ended...
A fun, short game you can probably clear in afternoon or two. Combat feels smoother than the first game (which already had good combat), and there are more options to use from force powers and different lightsaber crystals. There are also challenge modes you can do for a little extra content, and the story plays out well enough if you're interested in Starkiller's story. It's also just a pretty game!
The game being pretty short is also what hinders it, many can see this as underwhelming, I just see it as short and sweet (but definitely overpriced if you bought this at retail price back in the day). Another huge negative is that the DLC is missing from PC and modders currenly cannot port it either, so no Maulkiller skin or the extra Endor mission that continues the evil "what if" storyline from the first game's DLC.
ABSOLUTELY YES
YES!
pretty fun, a true classic, minus some bad boss fights (in my opinion)
Can't get past the first level because of crashes, what a joke
TFU 2 is a game with a well written story and with incredible voice acting. The combat has been improved from the first game with new abilities such as mind control and force rage. It does crash every now and again, but the auto-save means this is a minor issue. This is an excellent game, and I would recommend picking it up.
look at how they massacred the goat
i'm out words for this one it's such a good game.
Feels significantly better than the first. More diverse powers and abilities that are more smooth than the first. Story is a 6.5/10.
A button mashing QTE riddled mess. The interface is unstable - targeting the wrong things at the wrong times - and it's an artifact of a time best forgotten.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is, for the most part, an enjoyable action game that is sadly short lived due to its overall length and un-realised, poorly crafted story.

it was pretty fun although im not sure how and/or why you cant unlock all the cinematics and im not about to replay the game 50 times to find out
Absolutely unacceptable. Bought both games months back, and I adore the first one. I physically cant play this game. I load in and cannot move. I did research and figured out the fix but it is not okie I HAD to fix it in the first place.
fantastic game
I would recommend this if there weren't as many technical issues in the game. I was able to get up to the mission where you crash the rebel ship into Kamino and can't seem to go forward.
This game has a plethora of bugs and glitches and I can't recommend something that unstable and requires it to be heavily modify for it to function (even then, there is no guarantee that the game won't have more bugs or glitches). I don't think any of these issues will ever be addressed and fixed.
Buy this at your own risk and expect there to be a lot of crashes and difficult workarounds.
If your looking for a good continuation of the original Force Unleashed then I wholeheartedly recommend this game. Albeit it is significantly shorter, but your still in for a great time. The combat is better than the predecessor and has been improved in many different ways. While not a perfect game for those with a weaker pc, it's still a great game and is not hard to run (at least on my end) 10/10 worth all the money
one of the best. just like that
Better than I thought it be
The gameplay is an improvement, but the narrative is not. Very half-baked.
No idea why, game works fine, untill i get to the mission on kamino, on the salvation, for some reason, it gets halfway through the cutscene and then crashes completely, ive tried it about 20 times, does not want to get past the cutscene, it just crashes. Still a great game, played it long ago on PC when it came out
plays on oled deck but framerates spike like crazy and theres not alot of performance options to choose from.loved this game on launch though.classic game if you can get it to look good
5/10. its fun, but the game crashes reset your saved levels too often. Made me repeat multiple hard level boss battles due to the game randomly crashing at times, this is no a pc issue it's a game issue as this has never happened anywhere else. It's a really fun game, but the game crashes often reset your saved levels, forcing you to fight bosses a second time. If you dont mind having to redo extremely hard levels because the game crashed, its actually a really fun game with a unique and nice combat system.
I enjoyed this game more than the first, though it crashed like crazy on my computer. Worth buying if it is on a good sale.
Annoying to run at more than 30 fps. Combat is worse and somehow more simplistic than in FU1, which has VERY simple combat in the first place. The story is short, just plain bad, and it works poorly as a sequel as it undermines the ending of FU1. Lightsaber customization is also worse than in FU1, they could have copied the system and it would have worked fine. The force unleashed games should have been only one game.
Just play it on console
Originally played on the PS3, and while it was an exciting follow-up to the first game, it seemed to go by so fast, and left me wanting more. The team clearly thought they'd have the chance to work on a sequel, judging by the ending. Then came Disney's Order 66 on much of the Expanded Universe, to include this fun bit of diaspora. Shame, as to my mind the Starkiller story was left unfinished. Maybe one day they'll pick it back up, but I think not. Still, a fun play-thru!
Good old Star Wars .
Enjoyable and age way better than some other parts of the Franchise.
Starkiller(Overkiller) fun storyline and entertaining play mode.
Worth it :)
Wasn't as good as the original when it came out, this series is still one of the best in terms of Star Wars games though.
Bought this game years ago, used to work fine. Now it just doesn't function. Every online fix/suggestion, patch, setting, etc. just doesn't work for the game. You're better off emulating it, don't waste your money.
W game
very fun and realistic star wars experience, I recommend to star wars fans and to people who want a fun and strategic combat game.
The story, graphics and controls are really good, but unfortunately the game is far too short for the money. There are only 3-4 somewhat longer levels, each of which can be completed in around 30 minutes... too little for 20 euros...
Consistent crashes not worth the headache.
Some of the most unhinged George Lucas headcanon you’ll ever see in a game.
The Force Unleashed 2 feels like a fever dream. Like much of the Star Wars Extended Universe, it’s ridiculous, contradictory, tonally all over the place and loaded with some of the most bizarre ideas put to paper. And yet, since the decanonisation of the Extended Universe by Disney in 2014, I’ve really grown to miss some of this wackiness.
With current Star Wars, all edge has been removed for the sake of artificially heartwarming narratives and cliché hero tales which feature little moral quandary. Characters in the current Disney-verse feel like lifeless plot devices with no emotional honesty, simply existing to either pull ‘gotcha’ moments on main characters or act like Robin Hood sidekicks. The Force Unleashed 2’s bizarre clone-theory plot, like everything described before it, is silly and introduces about five plotholes per cutscene, but at least it commits to being entertaining and unpredictable in all the ways that I love about George Lucas Star Wars.
The Force Unleashed 2’s gameplay also prioritises fun. Movement feels considerably more responsive, and jumping between force powers and melee feels smoother and more organic this time around. Targeting objects using the force feels much more consistent, predictive and natural to use, meaning you’ll enter a flow state of chucking Stormtroopers off buildings and launching crates directly at enemies’ heads without questioning whether you’ve angled the camera correctly first.
Level design is best described as a rollercaoster: a single, static path with various set pieces occurring on either side to dazzle or challenge you. It’s one long, giant corridor with nice set dressing, but at least it’s enjoyable to play and pretty to look at. The high quality rain and lighting, in particular, really sell every scene and asset quality is surprisingly detailed. The Force Unleashed 2 runs at 30fps at default, and object and character motion blur does smooth the process, but stutters between lightsabre hits – a stylistic choice – do negate some of this smoothness. Nevertheless, the game is a looker.
The Force Unleashed 2 delivers nothing but high points, creating an incredibly curated yet short experience. A 100% longplay on YouTube barely reaches over three hours, and I’d feel particularly burned if I paid full price for this on release. As a Star Wars legacy product that is frequently discounted and thrown into bundle packs, it’s absolutely worth blasting through however. If you’re a fan of peak George Lucas BS, The Force Unleashed 2 is ready to provide.
An unnecessary sequel to a game that didn't need a sequel. It's just more of the same, but now it's more aimless. I didn't see the point to anything I did. It feels like you're fighting just to fight things.
epic
Looks like a good game plagued by a bad port, the resolutions are bugged and the game crashes randomly, can't recommend it.
I STOLE IT
I like this game but it sucks type energy
Awesome
classic game of super strong man obliterating lil storm guys
The game itself is suburb, I've played it to completion on PS3, but on PC this game barely handles. Playing on mouse and keyboard makes this game borderline unplayable at times. You'll probably have a better experience on controller.
Game crashes as soon as i go into a cutscene, looked up a fix for it and the only way of playing without crashing is by disabling the cutscenes in the files, id rather play the full game intact tbh
fun game
Just as good as the first game!
Game starts great - like really great, then gets progressively buggier and samey. Just crashed for me during a cut scene on the 2nd or 3rd level (after the terrible tram roof riding part where I couldn't do anything but walk in circles, being shot at waiting for it to end - it ended all right!)
Good ahh game 🗿🗿🗿
Maybe this is just nostalgia goggles but I remember TFU 1 looking a lot nicer on the PSP back in the day. Even then, the game is repetitive and looks samey, and at least on PC, has pretty rough graphics for today. The power fantasy of force powers is cool, but got kinda old quick.
