I would like to recommend Football Club Simulator -FCS #21 for everyone.
Poor quality, sometimes confusing user interface
I used to play Gremlin´s Premier Manager 97 and it was great fun. A KISS gameplay focused on the CORE to run a football Club as a whole. Now its creators offer this Football Club Simulator 21 and get the most important of Premier Manager. Have a great time again.
I've played and stacked up 374 hrs, on this and it outdoes the Premier Manager at least up to PM 10. I can't say anything Bad about FCS #21 . Other than a bit of instability and occasional crashes. This is a solid and enjoyable game...
Doesnt even work
I got it for like 5€, so I don't care much but the game feels unfinished, is extremely buggy and the guy who designed the menu navigation / UI should be fired immediately. First season I played, I had to restart like 10 times, because the game just froze or crashed to desktop.
If you can live with crashes and freezes and a messy UI, there's still one point which makes this a "not recommend" for me. The game forces you to make a tactic / formation which uses a left and right midfielder, while there are almost no left and right midfielders in the database. Most wingers are left / right forwards but you can't use them without a big penalty on the left/right midfield positions. You can change your formation, but whatever you do, the game won't allow to create a tactic without left/right midfield, so if you want to use left / right forwards, you still need a left / right midfield as well which is totally bollox.
Looks like it could be an excellent game however, upon opening I got a very flickering screen, which I couldnt correct, which was a real shame as I was really looking forward to playing it
Ok don't get me wrong it's not a terrible game but i have some issues with it for example i was unable to make
my own tactics for some reason it would not allow me to move players into positions i wanted for example i wanted to use
a 4-2-3-1 with 2 attacking wingers and attacking midfield there was no such tactic so i tried to make it myself
out of the 4-3-3 tactic and move the right and left midfield into attacking positions but it would not allow me to so i had to use the 4-3-3 tactic which mad all my attacking midfielder useless as it would not allow me to move a midfield player into attacking midfield. This takes away a big part of realism when the game restricts you from trying your own style. I do however really like the stadium building.

This game tries hard.. it really does, it just falls down in a lot of places. It tries to be modern and hip, but it just.. feels old and threadbare.. not even old school, just.. old!
If you enjoyed the old Premier Manager games of old then this is a must. Ignore the negatives as people don't know how to play the game. Its easy to reject transfers for your players and to offer them new contracts. Well worth the money
I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME - PURCHASE AT YOUR PERIL.
First item missing and most noticeable is any type of instructions or any tutorial. For someone coming to this type of game new the game is very unhelpful. Attempting to find instructions on the internet whilst playing the game and trying to understand its various features proved fruitless. Patient trial and error methods also were a slow learn process.
Crashes was another feature of the game. In the time I was playing it I had five complete freeze-up crashes necessitating warm-boot restarts.
Next thing I noticed was the Steam Clock showing "Time Played, I noted that it said I had been playing 2 hrs already when in fact I had only just started the game up after download, suggesting that the Steam "Time Played" Clock starts at 2 hours, to avoid refunds. It claimed in the end I had played 7.5 hrs, but I would definitely contest that figure too.
Graphics were another stark feature of the game in the colour and design of opponent kit. Instead of seeing the figure of a footballer in his team kit, I was treated to a fractal explosion for a picture.
Eventually my patience had run out having achieved nothing and got nowhere. I decided to cash it back in after only two days max of ownership and this Steam claimed duration of play of 7.5 hrs which I am confident I had definitely not accumulated. Steam have refused to refund TWICE based on the 2hr exceeded use rule. How can you fully evaluate a game in less than 2 hrs????.
As a result of this hassle, I
1. definitely discourage anyone from wasting your money on this particular piece of crap that is called a game.
2. keep an eye on that steam timer when you first start up your freshly downloaded games that tells you how many hours you have been playing. It seems fixed to me to avoid refunds.
3. Hope that you don't have cause for complaint with this or any other Steam based game, because Steam Support appears to be an automated "bot" and you are wasting your time.
4. Based on item 3, be very sure you want a particular game. If you have any doubts, DONT BUY IT FROM STEAM because you will be treated the same shabby and unprofessional way.
Its pish, dont bother buying.
I wouldnt recommend this game at this stage to anyone. Though it has somenice innovative ideas compared to other manager games, it has an awful and unbalanced match engine, randomly crashes without any error messages.
Verdict: 7/10
If you find it interesting to start with a very low grade team, and improve its economics and quality through time, this is the game for you.

Disclaimer: I am actually reusing a review of a game that has disappeared from Steam Store, which funnily enough is this one with a different name.
Manage your favorite football club, or just raise a small local club to dominate Champions League.
First of all, I have been a fan since the early days where the game was delivered in two 3.5 disks, so my review is probably biased. I should also say that I never play the matches, since the simulation part is what really attracts me. So, I cannot really comment on the arcade part of the game.
I feel the interface is slightly clunky and slow. Additionally, information about players could be presented in a better way, such as age, which is one of the key parameter if you are to renew a contract. A bit too many windows and tabs to manage your club.
That said, if you find it interesting to start with a very low grade team, and improve its economics and quality through time, this is the game for you. The interest can be maintained for at least 12-15 season (which is a fair amount of play hours), and mostly the first 5-7 years, that is when you really struggle to keep your economics afloat. After that, it will quickly become tedious as you will have the best squad around, your economy is blooming and your stadium is fully upgraded.
All and all, a fun game to play, with a relatively user friendly interface and a very gradual learning curve.

The stadium and structures expand is fun.
How can this even be considered a football management game? It is just roulette with players non-stop. You cannot stop anyone from signing your players and you cannot renew contracts with higher asking prices because players reject them. Players do not recognize when you offer them more wages in exchange for higher transfer asks. This is just a really awful game in all. I had a player whos agent asked me for 118,500 per season and a 850,000 transfer sum, well, I offered him 500,000 per season and a 25,000,000 transfer sum, he rejected. Tried again and offered him 10,000,000 per season and a 10,000,000 transfer sum and he rejected it. I tried this with every player just to test it and every player just declines.
There is no way to call this a football manager game at all.

awful, gimmicky, dull..... the match engine pays little attention to your tactics you pick, individual player orders are non-existant... training is shocking, i mean, you are limited to how many players you can train.... a number of language trnslation discrepancies within the game.... inability to 'sort' player by skill, position etc... having to go to one screen to do one thing then going onto another screen to another, and keep flitting about between screens is laboursome....the command function...Wtf?? really, just buy fifa if you want direct input into a football game, or buy Fm20xx series of games if you want a decent manager game.... this is very much like fifa manager , except(gasp....!!) less depth...
Crash on hitting continue after first match. Not going to bother reloading. Needs fixes.
The game is fun to play and the idea is good. However the game crashes constantly, it is unstable. As a software developer I understand this happens, so please give us a time line on when are you guys going to fix the problem, until then I will just keep practicing on the game.
