The naval combat is the weakest, but I do love the aspect of building up and managing cities, and even completing landmarks.
overall a very enticing game with many tasks and different paths to go down. however when you get to a certain population it becomes of a head spinner.
Can't even play the game. It links to your email and I don't even have access to that email after 10 years due to theft. So yeah, wasted a grant total of $50 on all the dlcs and everything. Ubisoft STILL hasnt gotten back to me after weeks and steam wont refund either because I have "had the game for more than 2 weeks."
Wanted to play after a while to finally understand this game and now its just not going to let me. Cool shit guys.
Steam really should add a neutral option
this game is great, in its own ways, but in an anno way? not so much
no AI competitors, simplistic economy, no building ships or trade routes
However, this game is still VERY beautiful, I sometimes come back to it for the joy of the futuristic setting and beautiful graphics, I really hope one day they come back and make a sequel to this entry and make it feel like an actual anno game.
for anyone who wants a simple city building with a simple economy this will for sure be for you.
A great civilization builder. The military aspects are a bit wonky, but optional. So far I've built out twice. Trying to balance resources and optimize for max profit tickles my problem solving in a great way. 72hrs played so far.
Easily one of my favorite city builders, about to start over after being away for years!
I enjoy all the different facets of this game. City building, money making, and combat scenarios keep you thinking.
Fuck UbiSoft and everything they make
I don't understand all the hate, this game is actually a very fun Anno game. Definitely worth a buy if you're into these types of games.
This isn’t a bad game—but it’s definitely not for me.
It’s my first time playing an Anno title, so perhaps longtime fans might get more out of it than I did. I came in expecting either a city builder or a management sim. Anno 2205 is neither. It plays more like a puzzle game, where your role is simply to add the next logical piece until the machine runs smoothly and profits roll in. There's little actual decision-making—just incremental optimization toward a predefined "solution."
What I Liked:
- The graphics are great—undeniably polished.
- The regional diversity is a nice touch. Each area introduces its own set of challenges, which adds some flavor.
What I Didn’t Like:
- The combat missions are universally bad. Repetitive, shallow, and mostly pointless.
- The tone is off-putting. The game tries to present itself as serious, but the voice acting and writing feel juvenile, like a Saturday morning cartoon. That kills immersion.
- Gameplay variety is almost nonexistent. Despite the visual diversity, most buildings are functionally the same—just reskinned resource machines.
- There's no meaningful simulation. Pollution, building placement, population satisfaction—they barely matter.
- You’re not managing a living city; you’re assembling a sterile production chain with no soul.
Final Verdict:
It’s a pretty game and might appeal to Anno veterans or fans of tidy, factory-style builders. But if you’re looking for something like SimCity or a real management sim, this isn’t it.
I could not play the game because the aspect ratio was so bad that I both couldn't save my changes to it or start a new game.
Just Awesome!
Likened to Anno 1602 AD.
Hood play-through
Not a bad game just boring as shit. single player nothing really to do very poor UI looks like a remade simcity. definitely would not recommend full price. It also wants to force me to do updates to a offline single player mode game so at this point its just uninstalled and id recommend getting the cracked version offline somewhere or just buying on sale. Anno 1800 is definitely the only game carrying the entire franchise
Game just sucks! Boring, confusing, damn sure not what they advertise. JUNK and uninstalled.
I love game like this. Reminds me of StarCraft but more fun.
i enjoy playing
Bad design choice ruined the game for me.
The save game mechanics ruined the game. I was doing a conflict mission when a blockade happened. As I was busy with blowing up ships, I did not pay attention to the blockade. Turned out that it blockaded my main distribution hub map. Result is a death spiral of all sectors. And due to the single save file file, my 135 hour run, 300 level corporation is know unrecoverable.
Thanks Ubisoft.
Great city builder with some fun extras. The menus are fairly easy to understand and explore, especially for a city builder. There's little missions to accomplish while you wait on accumulating goods or money, or if you're just getting tired of the micromanagement and want a break for a while. I was nervous those would be annoyingly challenging, but they turned out to be really fun. Normal difficulty isn't too challenging. It doesn't require spreadsheets and notes to manage and build a successful city. Very laid back game. There's nothing urgent or extremely time-sensitive. I am having so much fun I went ahead and bought the next game in the series. I also highly recommend the DLC's to this, they add a lot to the base game that I felt was well worth the money. All around just a really great game, and I look forward to putting a ridiculous amount of hours into it.
Good game, alright story definately a game for someone who likes colonization and resource management games.
I should go to sleep 2 hours ago...
Buying this game in stime, you will have to install additional software - ubisoft connect, register in it. as a result, you will encounter an error that ubisoft connect can not connect to ubisoft....
You will not be able to play the game without tambourine.
I'd like to say that the game is relaxing. There's no gruelling or intense combat. But I can not. You have to plan ahead and constantly monitor the resource output of each island or territory. Then the stock market system is also not relaxing. You have to constantly be alert for stock market changes.
Nonetheless, this game is less anxiety-inflicting than many games. I did not face any bugs till now, although, I find it very strange that I received a 150Mb update from Anno servers yester-night.
If you like building games and economy-management games then go for it. It's an okay game. It's not that complex, it just has a hell lot of resources you have to keep track of and that can be monotonous.
i like the variety compared to like civ or age of empires.
awsome
10 Hours in and so far loving the game .. Got the Ultimate Edition on Sale and would highly recommend.
Played previous Annos but i love the Space theme for this .. WIll keep playing and will update if i change my mind. So far giving it a 8.5/10. Cant wait to keep playing and Unlock more areas and resources etc.
Great game, great setting, graphics and progression. Lack luster battle system that doesnt quite mesh with the rest of the game. Some annoying design decisions that prevents you from getting it all. Most serious con is that it is ubisoft and you have to use ubisoft connect. It sucks and so does ubisoft. but ubisoft sucks,
I uninstalled it. then after a while I decided to come back. well, I can't install it. need passcode or whatsoever. pfft. waste my money
it doesn't feel like an Anno game... HOWEVER its a beautiful well made game^^ you will not have the freedom of the sandbox of the usual Anno games but it has some recalls and its the continuation of the lore of Anno 2070.
graphics are great, gemplay is solid, its not that hard of a game, the soundtracks are beautiful as always like in all of the Anno saga, YOU CAN EXPLOIT THE MOON. the only downsides is that the story is a bit of a disappoint, not the worst not the best, there is no sandbox mode with randomly generated maps, there is no actuall warfare between factions
it has its ups and down but do i ask you to give it a try????? Y E S, defenetly a yes from me
I LIKE the game it keeps you thinking
.
It is not your typical Anno but definetly still a great game when looking at it as a city builder. If you enjoyed the newer ones like 1800 its worth it when on sale.
Really not sure how this game got a Mixed review score, because while I'm no hardcore Anno player, I must say I prefer this one over all of its predecessors. It takes a more relaxed tone compared to previous titles, and is decidedly less apocalyptic than you expect from futuristic settings. I found both of these things refreshing. Combat is mostly relegated to areas away from your cities and comes across as entirely optional, which is good since it's the least compelling part of the game. The resource management and interplay between Earth and the Moon is the core of the experience, and this is where it excels. It goes for a more macro, big-picture approach than its predecessors, and takes all of the guesswork out of how much of each resource you'll need to produce goods or satisfy your people's needs. This means at all times you're getting a clearer picture of how your settlements are doing, where the problems are, and how to improve them. It's a more chill experience than I expect from Anno. I'm sure this is what made it disappointing to some, but it made it all the more enjoyable to me.
For some reason ubisoft decided to limit the eastern europe languages to just ruzzian. But I don't know this retard-terrorist language. At this point, Steam lies to me that the game support multiple laguages. I can't change it from ruzzian to any language else. Steam and ubisoft lie to the customers. Do not buy any ubisoft game
Ridiculously fun. I have no idea why it is so fun. I played this game at a slow, relaxed pace. 76.1 hours later, I guess I got my money's worth. I really enjoyed the resource management and gameplay.
we need chinese!!!!!!!!!!!
it is a good game to play if you have time to play it
The old good Anno in 2205
City builder game with a little bit of combat mechanics. pretty fun but late game isnt very rewarding
good game (fuck ubisoft obviously)
My favourite ANNO game. Different from the others but in the way I really enjoy!
nice game
alot of cool graphics plus a good story line.
Have started playing 5 times over the years and have never finished. It's fun.
not frustrating difficult but intricate, interesting and involved gameplay! one of the best city builders out there! awesome graphics as well~ the Anno team really put a lot into this game, actually only grype I have is it it is completely a campaign there is no random sandbox mode ( well I have ignored the campaign and it is kinda a sandbox) but too get too cool new features and buldings you must follow the ascribed missions but it is certainly worth the time! a lot of the game allows for player freedom of course within the set goals but none the less i GIVE A STRONG FIVE STARS!
Игры похожие на Anno 2205™
