At first this seemed like a nice, friendly, childish and charming 2D platformer with fun gimmicks and unique gameplay. Ohhh was I wrong about the cover of the book in this case. You can bet all my savory octopus sushi rolls that I was in for one of the most challenging water physics, tight platforming, incredible timings and precise jumps. The difficulty at the beginning scaling from the point of Super Mario levels very quickly revealed its horns and shifted into the territory of Super Meat Boy levels type of bs. Incredibly rewarding and engaging, extremely tough to 101%, but overall a very underappreciated hidden platforming gem. If you ever see an octopus with a helmet wandering in space - you are in for an adventure!
for a game about sea creatures the water controls are absolute horse shit
It is quite a nice game which seem to be very challenging and fun. Yes, it may give headache to some people but there are some settings (such as world rotation speed) that may help a bit.
My adventure would not last long however. As some comments have mentioned, the game does not record gamepad triggers despite of RT being one of the core controls. Instead, Airscape thinks that "start" button is the right trigger. I tweaked Steam controller settings (on both PC and Steam Deck) and now my RT triggers a "start" button so the game considers that I press RT. But now I have no idea how to go to the main menu if I want to replay a level. Maybe it works well with KB, maybe I could tweak Steam Controller more to get everything working as intended. But whatever, I have other games in the library and wouldn't bother tbh. For this reason, I would not recomment the game.
