love the game but 100% the game doesn't feel worth it tbh, this was my childhood tho soooo 8/10
Another great Batman game, really completes the series, each game had increasing levels of characters and play ability
was fun until robin gets stuck in the rover and i cant do anything but quit and get stuck again. how has this not been fixed yet? the first game would crash. no wonder this was on sale. would like to continue but...
Open world could be better. But the characters are amazing.
I don't know why, but at stage level 8 I always force closed.
It's unplayable, really sucks.
good game
The game runs well, up until level eight. At the beginning of the level, there is a part of it where you are required to use cyborgs magnit suit, and the game consistently insta crashes. Due to this, cannot complete level or the game, and the game is unplayable. I have looked at community notes and it is not an isolated issue, and has no fix at time of writing.
Best Lego Batman i've ever play, but pretty lack of story and stages. Most of the content that waste my time in this game is collecting gold bricks and quest from NPC, kinda hoping DLC can fix that and give some fresh stages but how dissapointed i am when i play it and it's just 10 minute of gameplay, mostly you can complete it 100% in 20 minute
Even though this game has everything that i want in Lego DC game and lots of character to enjoy playing with, i hate how the camera operate, especially in planet HUB and the Moon, it's making me dizzy, and also making quest and objective hard to achieve
Also dissapointed when season pass not include all DLC, huft.... i hate it when they does it
Lego Batman 3 delivers an entertaining mix of puzzle-solving, action, and exploration, much like its predecessors. Players get to control a wide variety of characters, each with unique abilities, which opens up creative approaches to the various puzzles. My older son (8) enjoyed seeing the variety in the cast, but my younger son (4) kept asking, "Who's that?" The game’s structure is solid, offering both single-player and co-op modes. However, the gameplay can feel a bit repetitive after a while, especially in the levels where exploration becomes tedious. This definitely drove me nuts, because the Steam edition isn't my first rodeo with this particular game; we also own the PS4 edition. Combat is fun, but not as refined as other action games, and the progression system, while varied, sometimes feels bogged down by too many collectibles (which I never thought I'd say in any game--I enjoy collectibles). The overall experience is enjoyable, but it doesn't introduce enough new elements to elevate it beyond a standard Lego game. (7/10)
The story brings Batman into space, facing off against various villains, including Brainiac, in an effort to stop the villain from shrinking entire planets. The narrative is fun and offers plenty of humor typical of the Lego franchise, but it’s not particularly memorable or impactful. While there are lots of characters from the DC Universe, the plot itself feels secondary to the action and puzzles. It’s a straightforward story, with more emphasis on the Lego-fueled slapstick humor than any real emotional weight or complexity. Fans of the Lego Batman series will likely enjoy it, but it's not one to write home about, and it's not even the best of the Lego Batman games. (6/10)
Graphically, the game offers a colorful and charming visual experience, much like the earlier iterations of the game. The character models, environments, and animations are well-done, maintaining the signature Lego style that fans adore, and I'd argue the graphics are a slight improvement over Lego Batman 2, which in turn slightly improved upon Lego Batman. The game’s presentation is smooth, and there’s a good variety of locations to explore, from Gotham to outer space. However, the visuals don’t push the boundaries of what you'd expect from a Lego game. While bright and polished, they lack the depth or detail that might make the game truly stand out in ways similar to some of the Star Wars, Incredibles or even Lego Pirates. The environments could use more interaction and dynamism, but the overall look remains appealing for fans of the Lego universe. (7/10)
The music and sound design is one of the game’s stronger points. The soundtrack does a fantastic job of blending classic Batman themes with a sense of space adventure, and it contributes greatly to the atmosphere. The voice acting is charming, with several recognizable actors voicing the iconic DC characters. There’s a good balance of humor and seriousness in the delivery, fitting the game’s tone perfectly. The sound effects for characters’ actions, explosions, and environmental interactions are also solid, providing the right amount of immersion without being overbearing. Overall, the audio experience is vibrant and enhances the enjoyment perhaps a bit more than earlier iterations of the game. This area definitely saw strong improvement as the franchise went on. (8/10)
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is an enjoyable, but not revolutionary, entry in the Lego game franchise. While its gameplay is solid, it doesn't quite match up to the best in the series, and the story is fairly predictable. Still, the game’s strong presentation, fun sound design, and massive roster of characters make it an enjoyable experience for fans of Lego and the DC Universe alike. Whether you're in it for the action, humor, or just a relaxing game with friends, Lego Batman 3 provides a satisfying experience, even if it doesn’t quite push the boundaries of the franchise. I wouldn't say save your money, necessarily, but I'd recommend catching the game on sale. It's a good game that's overshadowed by stronger entries in the LEGO franchise. (7/10)
Excellent story and game play. Only lacking on the free roam.
SI de por si ya me era difícil conseguir novia, el hecho de completar este juego al 100% nulifico cualquier posibilidad en el futuro 10/10
just as fun as the rest!
its a good
Very good game 9/10
yeah i mean its kinda good
Lots of bugs, glitches, and crashes. I've had to reboot the game more times than actually playing it.
If you know how to fix this problem, go nuts. Otherwise save your money.
Used to have it on my xbox
One of my favorite Lego games. I’ve always loved Lego games and this is great I love all the planets to explore and the playable characters are great as well
HEY! Local Lego man bricked up in lego city
buggy sometimes 6/10
i love playing lego games ever since i can remember
Another great Lego game and the best of the Batman trilogy. This one is more on par with the quality of dc super villains and marvel super heroes 1.
It's Lego Batman but Beyond Gotham
I'm Batman
Batman made me goon.
Worst Lego game I ever played so far.
This game is so boring. Lego Batman 1 is way better.
Game keeps crashing.
batman did infact go beyond gotham
i like the game but its rather annoying that you cant change characters after mission and some levels are rather dificult.
Goated game series but best is Lego Batman 2... BUY IT
Childhood game
I used to love this game as a kid, it was one of my favorites, but 10 years later it doesn't hold up as well. The stories ok, and the character roster is amazing, but the lack of an open world is terrible. Me and my brother used to spend so much time on the green lantern planet driving around and messing with the characters, but if you don't have the imagination of an 8 year old, it's not so entertaining. Still a good game to play through, I have a lot of nostalgia for it.
I hate LEGO games
wow batman is hot
im batman
good
It gets my thumbs up, but it's only OK, not great. Lego Batman 2 was the best in the trilogy.
always bet on black -batman
friday night and this with a glass of beer
lame as hell. Voiced lego games are never charming or funny. The gameplay is just constant suit-switching with no substance.
i played the trilogy with my sister, and it was a fun experience. There is no other lego games that can beat this trilogy
Batman takes it to space – I mean, where else he could go in a third installment?
It is the same licensed, blocky collectathon as always, albeit a bit bigger with a wackier narrative. It is a fine LEGO game, but if you played a bunch of these already, you’ll probably find nothing new.
Stuff in Gotham is as always – the never-ending work of chasing criminals through sewers and dark alleyways seems to never get old for ol’ Bruce and Robin. Joker and his goons, however, try to make it more interesting this time. Basically, they try to hijack The Space Colony ARK to gain power and make Lex Luthor the president.
In the meantime, Earth is getting attacked by Brainiac, an alien guy who likes to shrink stuff around (I don’t even know what kind of complex this is) to add it to his personal collection. He collects planets and worlds alike. Batman, Robin, all the other characters who take way too much screen time for a “Batman” game – as well as the villains - join forces to stop the alien threat.
An alright idea with heroes and villains working together for sure, and the whole “Batman” goes to space could’ve been done worse, I guess. The thing is, even more than in the second one, the game doesn’t feel like it’s about Batman. Yes, he is there in most of the events, but he kind of feels lost in the crowd of all the other characters. As LEGO Batman 2 was pretty much about Superman, Batman 3 is about the whole Lantern characters kerfuffle. It’s not bad, it’s just weird that Batman’s little story thread (Robin’s mind-control speech/caring about Robin) blends so much with the others that at the point when it gets resolved, you think to yourself “oh, right, it’s a Batman game!” Maybe I’m just overthinking it however – let's just say that it’s a Green Lantern-themed LEGO Batman game.
This game has continuity – it's subtle, but it’s there. It’s nice to know that the previous events actually happened, and our characters learned something from them.
I love the humor of the game, lots of good jokes. The scenes when people have inverted personalities are also hilarious. Also, the cast for this game is pretty good. Some voice lines are delivered in an amazingly lively manner and style – like Tara Strong voicing Harley Quinn side-quests or Adam West voicing... Adam... West...
Yeah, it’s weird to start “The Gameplay Paragraph” with an Adam West rant, but here we go. The number of PERILS this man finds himself in is incomprehensible for a human mind. It’s literally like you save this man, he goes behind a corner – and IMMEDIATELY falls into a manhole or something. This- this GOON has NO self-awareness whatsoever. NONE. Anyway, I do love the guy, and where I’m getting at is that he’s one of many collectibles in the game.
In this game – yes, you guessed it – you do pretty much everything as in the previous ones – or any other licensed LEGO game for that matter. The story levels are separate from the hubs, you speedrun them knowing da.mn well you’ll have to backtrack to them anyway for minikits. As always you unlock Cheat Bricks, characters, vehicles and the most useless of them all – Golden Bricks. To get most of the stuff you use characters’ abilities on specific blocks and puzzles. Stuff same as always, besides some smaller quality of life improvements. The bigger thing is that using costumes does not require their respective stations anymore – you switch between costumes similarly to characters in Free Play.
The hub worlds are... well, they’re not as repetitive and tiresome as Gotham in the previous game, but there are still problems. There are too many quests that are just the same, boring tasks. In the main hubs this ain’t THAT bad. However, we also get access to many different planets, respective of each Lantern. The planets are cool and pleasant, with some puzzles that are actually something. Unfortunately, as much as I love The Green Loontern as a character, he gives you the same set of boring quests on each planet and just changes the dialogue. And the other quests are not much better. I feel like they should've cut, like I don’t know, half of them, just to be safe. I feel like flying in the hubs has been improved since the second game though.
The game looks alright, it’s hard to judge graphics in a... LEGO game. Aesthetically it has its charm as always and the planets are really cool to look at too. The game also really makes use of the whole DC licences. The cast of characters to unlock and play with is really broad and diverse. If you have a DC character that you just absolutely love, you’ll probably find them here, even if they’re a little obscure, like my favorite, the Condiment King.
Musicwise – they really just reused the material a lot. There are new tracks and themes, but still a lot of the time in the levels you just hear the same music that you’ve been listening to for the last 2 games. Sound effects- I mean it’s just a LEGO game, come on.
The game crashed multiple times, there was also an audio leveling problem once and I had to restart it.
DLCs are alright content-wise, I guess. The levels are short, but cool – you also get a bunch of good characters. It’s just to buy all the DLCs (and get 100% the achievements) you do need to whip out some bucks. The way it’s chopped and how you get the FOMO by looking at the locked characters – just doesn’t sit right with me.
Overall, it’s an another good LEGO collectathon that’s hard to normally criticize as a standalone game. The thing is after playing a bunch of LEGO games on licenses like this in my life, it’s hard not to notice that they kind of just found an alright framework for a game and decided to do little to nothing to innovate it really.
”Please leave all capes to be washed in the laundry room. Dry cleaning services are available to gold tier heroes only.”
The Best LEGO Batman Game ever played. This game has a lot of fun puzzles and missions. I like them 10/10
It's a Lego game.
unless you only ever want to play this and nothing else, this game will refuse to let you do anything else with your computer.
a very interesting game that i enjoyed it has a very wide variety of characters which is amazing i've 100% the game and it isn't bad at all though if you are someone who enjoys exploring gotham city or any other city i would recommend getting lego DC super villains or lego batman 2... but either than that its by far one of my most favorite lego games. 10/10 would lego again.
i wanna f batman
So I’ve been playing the LEGO Batman games for the first time after a sale, or as I’ll call them: LEGO Batman, LEGO Batman & Superman and LEGO Justice League, and while I think they are good games and each subsequent game has had quality of life improvements that made each game better, I don’t really like these games. Sure, LEGO Justice League and the Rainbow Lanterns isn’t coming out of this without a recommendation but there a just bits and pieces that don’t work for me. Let me try to explain:
Story:
It’s a simple enough plot. Brainiac kidnaps some guys with Power Rings like Green Lantern and tries to use their powers to shrink and steal the Earth and the Justice League go stop him. And about halfway through it, it becomes a fetch quest to gather Lantern energy to clean up the mess Brainiac made.
I don’t really have much to say since the plot is really straightforward. But I will say that Lex and his group ended up not being important by the end. Early on they invade the Watchtower to steal America with its giant laser, but team up with the JL when Brainiac attacks. But at the halfway point, with the exception of Grundy, they get shoved into a cage and aren’t relevant again. It makes the cast feel unnecessarily bloated.
And this next one might be a me thing but the celebrity cameos don’t make sense to me. Adam West I get since he was he did play Batman in the 1960s. But Conan O’Brien? Kevin Smith? What do they have to do with DC? Is it a bit of trivia you wouldn’t get unless you’re steep in comic book trivia?
Gameplay:
It’s a LEGO so you use the party you have to solve puzzles and fight enemies to get to the end. I did have a noticeable problem in combat this time where you can be swarm by enemies without any room to breath with the worst case being the Little Gotham level where I could deal with the last of a current wave and Brainic would summon more as soon as I’m done.
Shame I’m starting with a negative cause movement feels great and you can switch suits at anytime now is a great improvement. But theres something that has been bugging while playing these games as with few exceptions like the Lanterns, or the Superman recolours, I don’t know what each character is able to do and the mixing of powers makes certain characters redundant. Batman has a few outfits like a Sonar, a space suit and a demolition suit to name a few of his potential skills. Now can Batman do that later when he’s in his disguise? NO! He and Robin are dead weight for two levels they appear in due to this. And while Flash can run fast, why would I use him when Superman also has superspeed as well as being able to fly, use heat vision or ice breath and lift giant boulders.
We also don’t get to try all the powers in stroy mode. Sure Brainiac is clearly set up as post game but we don’t get a shrinker like Atom unless you find his token in Level 5, and if you’re doing freeplay levels in order, you need him for Level 3 to get a minikit. And while that pissed me off, Poison Ivy was worse as not only is she in a hidden section of a free-roam level and not only do you have to do a few sidequests before she even shows up, but she’s only needed for one, ONE!!! Minikit. That’s just bullcrap
There are still things to like here like the freeroam levels with all the sidequests and challenges along with the 7 bonus free roam levels that can be unlocked in the postgame. The VR levels are a fun time. And here are some space shooter sections which are short but enjoyable. And
Presentation:
No real opinion here. Everything looks good and the voice actings fine too. Just my usual nitpick of Minifigs being over designed like the chins and cheekbones on the mens faces and the curves on the womens body which makes it look like these empty space and I can never unsee that.
Verdict
Not a bad game but the LEGO Batman series is clearly not for me.
6/10
good game
