There are far better clicker/idle games with more slow interactive geological interactions to enjoy. Not worth my cpu/gpu cycles in amusement
It's not a game. You'll buy a program that show a floating mountain around which the camera is slowly turning around. There is basic interaction like moving around it, and unrealistic stuff appear randomly on it on which you can clic and they make a rudimentary sound and you have a very VERY rudimentary keynote pad with which you can "play sound" and by click-drag everywhere, it make chaotic sound but the rotation around the planet is accelerated...
that's it. I mean, I may have misse 1-2 thing, but I mostly resumed all there is.
If you want to throw money to a coder for nothing much in redurn, buy it. Otherwise, keep it and encourage a dev who will actually put the effort of designing a real game.
I understand it now.
Here I will leave the cat, whoever pass by can pet it and give it a thumbs up (I'm trying to get my first award ever)

uh huh
This review for the low-priced casual game Mountain covers two periods of play, with a year's gap between them...
I first played Mountain over a year ago, and I thought it was a clever and wonderfully imaginative casual game, with its pithy thoughts, the changing weather, the passing days & seasons, the array of unlikely objects falling from space, and the even more unlikely range of cosmic threats to Mountain's existence!
Within three days I had all of the achievements except for the two duration-related ones: "You are Mountain" and the even longer "You are God". At that time both of these were related to the number of in-game "days" that Mountain had continuously lived for (so protecting it from cosmic destruction was imperative), but no-one knew how the game decided the "days" targets for each player, which seemed to vary wildly. In my case I obtained "You are Mountain" when my Mountain reached about 44,000 "days" old (which seemed to be much higher than most players reported). Then I waited for "You are God" to trigger - and waited - well, you get the point. When my Mountain got to 600,000 "days" of age, I gave up and uninstalled the game,
Skip a year, and I accidentally came across Mountain again. I looked at the game's discussions and found that the developer had changed the criteria for "You are God" from in-game "days" to 987 actual playtime hours. More than that, the hours were cumulative across multiple mountains - losing a mountain no longer reset the counter. So I started to play again and, after a total of 987 hours of play (creating new mountains as old ones were destroyed), I got the final achievement at last; note that 160 hours of my original playtime didn't count towards the new criteria. The change to the "You are God" achievement was welcome and made it more friendly and predictable, but it couldn't quite remove the frustration of all of that wasted game-play a year before, and has left me permanently wary of any "long playtime duration" achievements!
mountain exist
A fascinating little thing. It's hard to recommend a game I know most people who call themselves gamers will hate, but I just couldn't help but feel very attached to my mountain. Maybe it says more about me than it does about what's actually contained in Mountain, but I also noticed it having an influence on my creative writing, and very few other games manage that. If you have a rigid definition of what a game 'should' be, stay away. Otherwise, give it a shot!
I am mountain. You are human.
I dont understand the meaning
chill af idle screen game. wish there were more like this
Basically animated wallpaper. It doesn’t do much. Just watch it rotate forever and ever…
Just leave it spinning there while focusing on something else
10/10 Be the mountain
Lest see, how to describe this to you?
In short: imagine having a tamagotchi (yes, im THAT old), with no instruction and you can only interact with it by playing music and to play said music, you have to find the notes in your keyboard.
Basically the mountain just sits in the darkness of the universe sharing its thoughts with you while you do pointless things to it and stuff randomly falls into it... i wish i could refund it, it never delivered on its promis... it was fun to blow the mountain up tho.... the first time
Something else.
peak (HAAAAAAAAA DO YOU GET IT?!)
I did not get fully the "existential nature simulation" part, thus it felt more like a hassle than fun
This game doesn't really have a point as far as I can see. It's a nice wallpaper.
What's the point?
When I'm unhappy in my life, I'll open this game and keep staring at my mountain, all the time, and then I'll forget all my unhappiness.
Nothing is too much, nothing will always be there, just like the mountain.
Its a bit boring at the first 400h or so .. but them.. Oh.. man an gal for that matter.. its staring to be fun and afte 600+ is f u ing insane so good game i cant live whitout it now!!!
needs pay to win
not skibidi toilet asmr
Mountain and chill. Fun to get all the achievements.
I am a mountain man. I am a mountain, man.
meh, the mountain is nice to look at to see what it collects over time, and in theory it would make a nice wallpaper on a second screen & for the price you can't complain for that purpose.
however, it takes up a lot of resources, it heated up my laptop a lot. it's only bearable if you're on windows 11 and use taskmanager's efficiency mode (by right clicking on the process in taskmanager) to save some resources. other than that, wouldnt bother, the amount of resources it takes up is not worth it.
has an 1000 hour idle for the last achievement. very easy to 100% this. but due to it taking up so much of your device for such a simple wallpaper "game" i can't recommend it and i don't think it'll ever get fixed at this point.
Better than Call of Duty
Mountain keeps me company while I work from home. ^^
I use it to make FOREX predictions.
Love EVERYTHING too.
When I'm unhappy in my life, I'll open this game and keep staring at my mountain, all the time, and then I'll forget all my unhappiness.
Nothing is too much, nothing will always be there, just like the mountain.
placeholder review, It's not good, also a bit buggy
For a grand total of eighty whole British pence, you too can have an experience more soothing and relaxing than most meditation apps. Just admire the mountain. Magnificent.
