A well designed and greatly refined dynasty builder with a plethora of options to develop your legacy. Still some minor hiccups here and there, but very easy to loss several hours at a time playing this game.
Full agreement with the reviews that state this just feels like no love went into it, and was abandoned. There has not been an update since 2023.
How can it be so bad...
Helf the features of The Guild 2, no bank, a more confusing skill system, crafting, PR, family managment and so on...
Do not buy
absolutely loveless game.
Great game!Multiplayer ! The graphics were improved a lot
Still need to enrich game play and simplify operation
Specifically, the warehouse is useless except there is long distance between city and country side. Since there is strict restriction of business building number, the marginal benefit of intermediate storage can not exceed the expected income of extra productive building. Only when the total business building number is over roughly 6 or 7, the benefit of warehouse can be positive.
However, there are limited game play contents after getting knighted.
Don't give up upgrading this game. I am willing to pay DLC for any further enrichment. The framework of the game deserves more investment !!!
good game
Not accessible - no subtitle support on movies
Also all relationship options are het
Amazing game!
Great multiplayer!!!
Buy 2 instead
Alright, I'm Hooked. Also, In slow motion mode (which I love), I was able to clean my bathroom and come back and make my next choice every now and then. Its perfect!
This game plays like your typical abandoned early access game. Some (if not most) game mechanics are completely out of balance, there is almost no sense of actual progression, because most features and buildings that you unlock are next to useless, and most importantly, there's very little challenge. I initially wanted to try it in multiplayer, but after playing a singleplayer campaign i will not even bother. Feels like the developers had a good idea initially, then something went wrong and they gave up halfway and just called it quits and abandoned it.
Great effort. Basically like playing a stable version of Guild 2. Multiplayer works a treat.
Nepotism Simulator
Proper game, no strings attached. just fun and games.
This is the Way!!
Okay and thumbs up because the game is full of good ideas. It's good fun for a while. At some point there is so much going on the game becomes irritating and totally out of control which is a shame (unless you're here for a second job). It's still worth exploring if at a good price. Would be awesome for someone to make this kind of life sim sandbox game but pull it off.
Refund this crap
I like tha game so far.
Don't touch. Unbalanced and shallow. Massive downgrade from Guild 2.
Gaining money and control of council is trivially easy. The main mechanics: production, trade and crime are all trivially simple.
- The simplest production chains are somehow the most profitable.
- A single trade opportunity event can let you increase your wealth 10x with no effort.
- There is literally nothing stopping you from carrying out any crime you want. People walk by as you stab your rivals to deaths and no one cares at all.
Game is shallower than an autoclicker phone game.
changing my review the game is unfinished and they quit 22 hours in and i want my money back who wants to read a half a book
could have been better, took too long to allow mods. 6/10
nice addition to the series
How is the guild 2 better when this games been in development for idk how many years?
It has its moments... honestly, so much wasted potential. The gameplay formula is interestingly unique but not fleshed out. You can only install one mod at a time because coding reasons and you'll probably want to install a mod that will fix market's prices and nerfs the front store. While this is theoretically an endless sandbox game, you won't feel like replaying it after beating it once, as playthroughs are more or less the same.
Buy it for 5€ or less, it doesn't deserve more than that and that's a shame.
I would not recommend it as it is.
Guild 2 is more fun, richer and cheaper. Guild 3 is only a graphics update at this point,
had a crazy complicated history of development and while it is now playable, it's not "amazing".
Definitely better than Guild 2, but although there is much more complexity compared to the original Guild, there is also much more undeveloped potential and the overall experience is less entertaining.
There is some nice medieval architecture, a lot of options to choose from, well set production chains, but almost no chance to rely on productive automatization of work, making the game, in the first place, extremely slow and eventually slower and slower.
Maybe not worth 30 euros but worth try.
Modded it's really good, I would say that it's worth getting this over Guild 2 due to graphics and QOL. The game is a solid 7-8/10.

I really don't write reviews very frequently.
This game is good. I was intimidated by all the mixed reviews for a really long time until the game went on sale and I decided to try it out.
I have not had any of the bugs that people go on about - maybe when a game just loads up I get a bug that people are invisible - but that goes away in under a minute.
This is a more polished version of TG2 and its expansions.
Is It worth $30? Maybe.
Is it worth $20? Almost certainly
Is it worth $15 - which is about what I spent on it? Yes, absolutely!
Is it worth under $10 (current sale)? THROW YOUR MONEY AT IT!!!
You will have fun.
Don't miss out on that fun because of mixed reviews from a bunch of butthurt people who wanted this game to have the exact same glitches and dialogue as TG2 but with better graphics. Also don't expect a GIGANTIC expansion of content and playstyle - but it's good. Buy it. I haven't hears "My bread's not moldy" yet, and I'm still having fun.
yes
It is a shame people hassling the studio killed it
One thing annoys the hell out of me:
I really love the game, but if you play it over several generations and level your family members skills and got excellent gens with your partners it is pretty impossible to get a child with only one 4 at a skill and the rest 3s and 2s or even one with only 3s and 2s, if the parents do have without buffs or equipped stats improving things: 6 5 5 6 7 and 3 5 4 5 4, the logic of this game is totally annoying the hell out of me, because it does give you such children. And each time I struggle again to level them to better skills. No fun at all!
And I reloaded the game about 40 times to see if it gets diced any better, but nope! They even offered me kids with a 0 stat. Totally frustrating!
Slow start. But picks up more as you learn the game.
looks better, works worse.
the Idea is there but coding completely ruins it for me. family members going on hour-long adventures just to do a automatic job and then walking another 1000 miles, completely destroys effeciency. aside from that the random idling even though they have jobs, the money to buy supllies and everything.. family members quickly overwhelm you because they have no automatic behaviours coded. they just stand there untill you make them do something. this game would benefit immensely from your family members marrying and interacting on their own when not on a job.
all in all, a mechanically lacking visual upgrade from earlier Guilds. Guess the budget was kept short :). i can't play it any longer because this buggy AI tilts me continually..
very good game :) i havnt played 1 and 2 but this one is good :)
Would have been a great game if it came out 10 years ago.
The game is good, but it feels unpolished.
I wish they kept the perk system from TG2. AI needs a rework to allow workers to carry more than one stack of ressources; This makes it extra hard for gathering jobs if the natural ressource is far from the business.
Crime is way too easy in this game, only other dynasties can press charges against you, so if you want an easy game just get a max level wife with lots of items, buy weapons and kill every dynasty head one by one.
After that there's no real competition for businesses, and especially politics since the AI always favours you.
The front store system also needs a rework, my first few games I always ended up with bad reputation with every city I had businesses in, just because I marked up the prices.
Started at 115, then 110, then 105, then the basic 100.
Why would you make that an option if it always tanks you reputation?
The flee mechanic, what a joke ! How could someone run faster than someone on a horse with max move speed bonuses? This one just breaks the immersion for me.
And what's the point, if the npcs just go to their houses everytime? You just have to camp there and keep attacking them until they run out influence so they can't flee anymore.
Despite these issues, the game is a great successor to TG2, the learning curve is a bit steep because there isn't much information about the game online or with the help section ig.
Get this one on sale!
Want to be good and do good deeds. Be pastor. Find wife. Life is good. Make 2 children. I do church service, she heals the villagers. Children work at the market.
Life is good. Wife is one year younger then me. Dies for no reason. Feel the grasp of death. Get new younger wife. Make more baby. Life is good in the medieval time.
good game
