The Guild 3

As a fans for The Guild 2, I am kinda disappointed to The Guild 3.
The things that I enjoyed on The Guild 2 not happened in The Guild 3, and The Guild 3 had nothing that impressed me.

I followed this project from its very beginnings when we were regularily shown 3D visuals of the buildings on Facebook. It started out as a promising sequel during the early days of the early access, but very little progress was made since then and the game was never actually finished. It feels like a downgrade from The Guild 2, at most it's halfway to a remaster. It has now been nearly 2 years since the latest update, and more like 3 or 4 years since real work has been done on the game.

I had hopes this game would bring back the nostalgia of Europa 1400 (The Guild 1) but now it seems like this franchise will never get the closure it deserves, with the 3 titles still being riddled with game-breaking bugs to this day.

Great game to play, especially with friends. Manage you family/bloodline, businesses, and work your way to the top of society in this game. You are competing against rival families and factions. Whether you want to be cut throat or expand your empire with dignity, this game fits all play styles.

I played the original game and enjoyed it . This game is slightly more difficult but very enjoyable . Its taken a few false starts but I'm becoming familiar with the interface.

Game was only worth purchasing and playing to support the devs and give input as they continue development. The game feels unfinished, like its in early access, and the devs have seemingly abandoned it now. Kinda feels like I was scammed. Not recommended.

I loved Guild 2, despite all its flaws.

So, of course I expected bugs here as well, but I didn't think I would get blocked halfway through the damn tutorial.

I congratulate the devs, on achieving this difficult feat, which is to create an even buggier mess than the game's predecessor.

Games trivial to play, very easy to start mastering this, but without any updates, i give it a singular week of play, at most, that's being generous. For 30 $, for a game that you can probably master very quickly, its just a week until you get dead bored. Nah...

This game is a scam. The developers dropped.

My cousin an I tried to play the game together because back in the days we were fans of The Guild 2. Unfortunatly we couldn´t join each others hosted games (we tried everything like shutting of firewalls and so on). The game doesn´t even offer the option to host a LAN game so we gave up after roughly 90 minutes. Refund requested.

Highly repetitive gameplay, felt more like an idle grinder than anything else.
None of the actions you took or did felt like it mattered, it was all for flavor.

Over 2 years with no progress, can't say I'd recommend this game with a lot more fixed.

The guild 3 is a amazing cool game that gives you hours of fun play and give you great memories of the good old days of computer gaming.

Going off of the guild 2, I had a lot of hope for this game.

Unfortunately, that hope was tarnished by an impoverished game and developers who have seemingly abandoned it.

Back in 2022 and 2023 I was used to checking for updates, and looking forward to progress being made.

However, as I revisit this is 2025, I see no more progress since I last played, so sad.

A good improvement fromthe second one, yeah there are some bugs, but so as the former. Overall a better experience than the II, the comments are too harsh in my opinion

This game is good it is one of a kind, and I see that most bad reviews are all posted by people with out most 20 hours on record. If your going to write a geniune review about a game you must atleast have some hours on it for an honest experience. I personally enjoyed the game it is just a great idea made well.

Mixed reviews when I am posting this, and around 6,500 reviews. Many of the recent reviews are positive and talking about how it's a great game.

The most interesting thing to me, however, is how low the hours are on all of those positive reviews.

The game has 6,500 reviews, 61% are positive, and there are only 71 reviewers that liked the game enough to play it for 100+ hours.

Compare that to The Guild 2: Renaissance. The Guild 2: Renaissance is just one of a handful of stand alone Guild 2 games which didn't require the other versions to work.

Renaissance has a total of 3,200 reviews, half as many as TG3, likely due to presence of other purchasable versions all released around the same time. Renaissance has 81% positive reviews, and despite the lower number of reviews has 170 reviewers with over 100 hours played. That's about 5% of the reviewers playing it for 100+ hours compared to 1.1% for TG3.

Even though TG2 is buggy as heck, it was much more enjoyable than this souless sequel and the play time of reviewers is pretty enlightening.

A well designed and greatly refined dynasty builder with a plethora of options to develop your legacy. Still some minor hiccups here and there, but very easy to loss several hours at a time playing this game.

Full agreement with the reviews that state this just feels like no love went into it, and was abandoned. There has not been an update since 2023.

How can it be so bad...

Helf the features of The Guild 2, no bank, a more confusing skill system, crafting, PR, family managment and so on...

Still need to enrich game play and simplify operation

Specifically, the warehouse is useless except there is long distance between city and country side. Since there is strict restriction of business building number, the marginal benefit of intermediate storage can not exceed the expected income of extra productive building. Only when the total business building number is over roughly 6 or 7, the benefit of warehouse can be positive.

However, there are limited game play contents after getting knighted.

Don't give up upgrading this game. I am willing to pay DLC for any further enrichment. The framework of the game deserves more investment !!!
