Great sci-fi thriller. Cool story and writing, in-depth characters. Many cool ideas about our distant or not-so distant future, the new challenges that human civilization will have to face, something to think about.
Highly recommended!
P.S. Cool music as well!
Sorry, but who had the idea to come up with this pixel mess? The font is almost unreadable. Graphics is really so bad that it just overshadows any positive aspect of this game.
Eeeeeeh, a soft-thumbsup for this one.
Story & voice acting are good, but some scenes are hard to believe, and gameplay is worse than Unavowed or Strangeland, which have less moon-logic puzzles and better hint systems.
Buy if you're a fan of the genre and are ready for "less mature" Wadjet.
TechYESbabylon
great game. i spent 2 hours to get through part 1
Technobabylon is an excellent cyberpunk point-and-click adventure that kept me hooked from start to finish. The story is deep and engaging, with three distinct characters whose paths are cleverly intertwined in a gripping conspiracy. The puzzles are well-balanced—challenging but logical—and the voice acting adds so much life to the characters and world.
The pixel art is stunning, capturing the gritty dystopian atmosphere perfectly, and the music complements the mood beautifully. If you enjoy cyberpunk stories and classic adventure games, Technobabylon is a must-play. Highly recommend!
Technobabylon is a captivating cyberpunk adventure game.
It features an amazing story, wonderful art, a nice atmosphere, good music, and great voice acting.
I did not expect to enjoy the story so much; it really had me engaged and wanting to see where it was going.
Well done!
excellent point and click
Okay, so Wadjet is one of the better story tellers out there. This is a well told story, now as to why I am not recommending it. It pushes a narrative that is more woke ideology. This may not bother some, but had I known, I would not have bought it in the first place.
As far as the gameplay, it is similar to other Wadjet games for point and click adventures and I think they definitely made an engaging game here as with their other games. It has more adult type content and narrative than their others though, so buyer beware.
A good adventure game with nice visuals, voice acting and sound design that avoids the adventure game puzzle logic and makes the world feel real and lived in despite it's short time. I completed it in 6 and a half hours and was happy with the time spent.
I find modern P&CA games a lot more miss than hit. Most tend to nail certain elements of the genre, but fall over hard at others. However, Technobabylon is an exception, and easily my favorite modern P&CA game to date. Everything key to the genre - from presentation, to puzzles, to dialogue - is done to a very high standard here, with the game itself having great pacing and some very interesting moments too.
Highly recommended.
I love classic point and click adventures, they are like an interactive book. This book is set in great near-future environment and I really enjoyed the story, today I replayed it to recall it after few years and it was indeed great. Love the jokes and eastereggs, characters are believable too.
Gameplay-wise it has common issues of it's genre - sometimes the objects you are supposed to interact with are hard to see, also in the in the last chapter the inventory is a little buggy. Other than that I really enjoyed it and it's one of my favourite games.
Great classic point and click adventure with no unnecessary bells and whistles. Really good characters and solid but not obscure and frustrating puzzles like some of these games throw at you.
Interesting cyberpunk story that goes off in unexpected directions, you really feel drawn into this fascinating world.
Strong recommend
my eyes!!!!
I really enjoyed this game and consider it one of the best point and clicks I've played. The story is engaging, the puzzles are challenging but not frustrating and the overall ambience nails the cyberpunk genre. The voice acting is well done, on top. Don't be put off by the old school graphics, give this your attention!
One of my favorite adventure games ever.
I had avoided it because the cover seemed weird, turns out it was just a cropped part of a beautiful illustration, and it's weird because it's the online avatar of the teen protagonist!
Game is amazing, great art, great worldbuilding, great ideas for the mechanics. I need more!
Another enjoyable cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game, this one developed by Technocrat Games and published by Wadjet Eye Games.
Technocrat Games couldn't have known AI would become such a talking point worldwide so many years after release but the game shows the possible perils of this technology rather well.
You get to play three protagonists during the game, set in the city of Newton in the year 2087. Central, the AI at the heart of the story, maintains various systems within Newton, including enforcing the law. Centralized Emergency Logistics acts as a police force under the authority of Central. Two of the protagonists are CEL Agents.
The whole game was engaging, as were the puzzles. With some parts of the story branching in different directions, I look forward to revisiting Technobabylon. Highly recommended!
this game has such a rich atmosphere and beautiful storytelling; it's a must-play in my opinion. it truly has my favorite cyberpunk world in games. i'm a huge fan of the point-and-click genre, so taking time to listen to dialogue and tinker with puzzles is fun for me, but technobabylon's writing and puzzle design made that already enjoyable task even better. the game has quite fleshed out characters overall, and i was very happy to see that puzzles can be tackled multiple ways. a jewel in wadjet eye's already fantastic published collection. i hope for a sequel from technocrat one day! for now, give this one a try!!
It reminded me a bit of "Ready Player One". The setting, concept and characters are interesting. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend playing this game because the second half of the game ruins the gameplay. The dialogues are too long, they throw you a lot of exposition and some puzzles do not make sense even when looking at a walkthrough.
