Horrible game that is Overlord only in name and some bits, but is a crappy action RPG instead of the joy of the 2 real Overlord games. Even on sale at $4 was a waste of money.
Completely unpolished and unfun, but it might be worth buying on sale for a couple bucks if you liked the older games, just to see what Overlord could have been.
If only I listened to the reviews.
This is an unfun personality-less attempt of a bad diablo clone.
In spite of that it does run on Steam deck okay, and controls fine, but don't, thats not a good reason to get this, you have other options.

Floppy Fellowship of Flop
should've just re-released dark legend
Extremely clunky gameplay compared to the rest of the series. The turn away from open world is an odd choice.
I can see why this game was a massive flop, however it's not as bad as it might seem, but calling it undercooked is... generous. The Overlord series isn't a shining example of high quality games but this one is notorious.
The **bad**:
- AI
- Cutscenes
- Models
- Writing and Dialogue (serious slop)
- Balancing (netherghul weapons and nigh invulnerable shield enemies)
Thankfully this game is quite cheap and the gameplay and level design can make this fun to play, particularly the first 3 boss fights. Furthermore the addition of 4 different characters and coop might actually advance this game from "bearable" to "ok"
Kinda gave Overlord a bad name, the first two games were goofy and fun in a kinda cool fantasy setting
the combat is just gross, the AI are lobotomites and its just for lack of better words not fun
they were trying to make a quick buck off the series' name and ended up ruining it in the eyes of people making Overlord 3 almost certainly nothing more than a myth
Compared to previous Overlord games, this one is a sloppy flop. Do not recommend.
