I really liked this one! it really gets you in the flow state, and it loves giving you a massive wall of difficulty, which is why I enjoyed it so much. i feel like they nailed the difficulty, though the mountains level made me pull out my hair a bit. BUT. i made it through. if i can do it, the average gamer probably can. though frustrating, i give it a 8/10. worth it for the banger soundtrack alone.

I always knew red was evil. They all called me crazy, they said that "colors just are". Well this will show them! I'm not gotta stop until red is gone! NO MORE RED! Once I am done cleansing this world of it's outer red, then I will destroy all inner red, starting with me.

It was quite frustrating to 100% but it was quite fun and is worth the price on sale I’d recommend

very strong example of minimal design in that it uses various layouts of simple enemies and mechanics to form gameplay that involves tricky twitch decision making without being as complex as another movement shooter like Neon White. just a handful of well-designed mechanics can go nearly as far as complex weaving ones!
i also think it's a great example of limited art in a game being very effective. the models are all low-poly with no shading and the visual effects aren't the shiniest. the enemies are cubes with >:( faces. yet it's cohesive and unique! your art doesn't need to be the best ever to make a recognizable game!

Lovely Planet has a fantastic flow state. The art is beautiful, and the music is excellent. The difficulty quickly ramps up to the point it's hard to image sticking with the game past the second world unless you are a die-hard fan, but overall my time spent with the game was enjoyable.
Lovely Planet won't be for everyone, but it's worth checking out if it looks like it might be for you.
Run around. Shoot thing. See if you can do it faster.
Pretty relaxing, good game to reset mentally after a hard day. The cute tag feels redundant tho.
I hate this artstyle with a passion; Operation Centerboard didn’t go far enough.
