Lucius is taken to the psychiatric ward of St. Benedict’s Hospital by unsuspecting caretakers. The Book of Revelation predicts the birth of a child that would end up ruling the world with an iron rod. The first part of this prophecy has been fulfilled. It is time to take care of the rest. Whispers of a prophecy find their way to the boy's ears. Lucius decides to act again to regain his powers. But little does he know of his new adversaries...

the first lucius game was amazing so i had high hopes for this one but it's horrible, it's a buggy mess with uncomfortable controls
needs more heath pick ups but besides that a good game
Tries to be really serious but ends up just being comical instead, i mostly just really dislike the mid 2010's edgy humor.
In terms of gameplay tho this is absolutely a fun time, the creative ways you can kill make it get pretty close to being an immersive sim, jank included!
Obviously be careful with your purchase, i recommend being patient because sometimes what you want to do doesn't work but these devs certainly tried and i respect that.

Hugely dissapointing ...

Just like the other entries, I did really enjoy this, though it is noticeably weaker than it's predecessor. I struggled with the controls at first and the graphics were not fantastic, but I did get used to both. I still had fun, though. Completing the achievements was a bit frustrating at times though
Takes after Hitman Absolution with the best Non Linear experience
Similar to its predecessor in many ways, but with so much more freedom. I prefer the setting and narrative of the first game better, but this one undoubtedly has better gameplay and controls.
With plenty of people to kill and just as many ways to kill them (not really, it's mostly poison and fire), you'll find much more freedom over how to handle your victims. While the first game feels like you are solving a puzzle for each kill, this one opens up the levels to give you control.
Rather than giving you a target each level, you are given tasks needing completion before moving on. This can range from collecting items that are locked away, sabotage, and, yes, target elimination. Regardless of what's on the to-do list, you will have to find clever ways to kill. Being a child with magical powers, you can't simply grab a knife or a gun and go at it. You must use your mind and the tools around you. Of course, most of the time you'll be starting a fire and using mind control to walk people into it or throwing poisoned sandwiches on the ground where. surprisingly no one has a problem eating them.
If you liked the first game, you'll love this one. And the achievements aren't so bad either.
Funniest game ever and super underrated, it is buggy but in a hilarious way that isn’t game breaking

Lucius 2 was a pretty good game. The controls and how they interact with each other is a bit wonky, The story falls short of Lucius 1 but is still good on its own, and the bit on the bus was bonkers. How the credits were shown was pretty awesome, but I stood there for a good 5 min before I got the hint.
Other then that I quite like the game, a lot more choice and planing of your own accord then the first Lucius. Their real unique, quite refreshing from your run of the mill hero games. Would recommend if you played the first game.
While the first Lucius game was focusing on gore visuals and the Demake prioritize storytelling, Lucius 2 lacks of them slightly, but instead we finally have an actual game to play.
It is all about planning your murders and they are many ways to do it. Because of that, the game has actual replay value.
There is a lot of bugs and the controls are something to get used to, but around the half of the game (after 6-7 hours) I was so good with them, the levels became super easy.
For the second playtrough I finished Chapter 1 like in a hour and only the civils near the reception on the ground floor was still alive. This is the hardest part of the game in my opinion.
So far as Lucius games go, this is the best, because it is an actual game, even with it´s bugs. I think the First Lucius is more movie like.
They overused slowmos in the first and even ruined the tension in the ending for me, but in Lucius 2 it used very well (Only one level has a bug wich triggers slowmo many time).
New game+ buggy too, I used save editor to save my skill points, but some of the inventory items remains.
Try it out at least, but be prepared to get use to it´s control.
I hope Lucius 3 follows this reciept or using it even better and make it less buggy.

2 things only I don´t like about Lucius 2:
- Point system for a single player game and i´am sure it´s calculating is buggy too. Developing it was a pure waste of time, but I´am really happy, that there is no multiplayer.
- Story.
It is my biggest problem. It start with the worst intro possible, but it escalates in the end to acceptable and cliffhanging for the third game.
First of all... Lucius wishpers (he never talks or talked before and never does again).
With that he turns into somebody into Lucifers minion and gay.
Than the intro says Lucius lost his powers and have to get them back.
+ In the first game before the second killing he was able to lifting up a whole piano, now he can´t pick up a big bottle or an axe (like 3-5 kg, while pianos are like hundres of Kg?), but...
+ ...In Lucius 2 he can mind control, (can be even the first skill to unlock) but he never did that before.
I don´t know magic, but isn´t mind-control a far more complex thing to master, than using powers to move heavier stuff for you?
And he loses his powers, because sitting in a hospital for long time, while in the first game he killed one poeple per 1-2 month for gaining power?
Shouldn´t be more realistic (according to the first game, not IRL), that Lucius left kinda weak the mansion, (In Lucius 2 he does a lot murder and slightly become stronger by them, so after the priests attacking him in the first game, it is possible to be weaken) than the detective brings him into the hospital, where Lucius had coma or something (this is where the tutorial level can starts) and he after wakes up, they bring the nun there when they realize he really never talks and than he not attacks the nun like an idiot (like in the intro), but made her insane somehow. Like turning a cross with telekinesis or anything supernatural. It would make her death more ironic too, putting end for her nightmares and would be more Licius like, silent, but smart move. Than after that the doctor sees the reaction of the nun, he/she orders the shock therapy. Game starts.
While all of that happens, the detective looks into occult stuff, because he feels something still not right with the paranormal things that happened in the mansion. He even makes a ritual after weeks, than there is your d***s***ing scene with Lucifer.
Just an example of course, but the actual intro is very unlogical and was a very bad sing for me.
Lucius never talks, just kills and both game was able building up a personality of a silent jigsaw-solving person, who does his plans while nobody watching and nobody ever notice anything. A very cold child who makes everyone mad if left alive and that madness is really Lucius´s power.
I absolutely recommend Lucius 2 to play if you are interested any way in this saga and you have patience for bugs.
As the volume has increased, density has decreased. Put simply, while freedom and diversity have expanded, the level of detailed precision has lessened.

Felt like a step down from the first one, graphics and story wise, was still fun to play though.
