Game crashes to desk top constantly. You are constantly bombarded with "advice" that for the most part is wrong. Seems like more time was spent making it "look" good and over complicating it than making a game that runs without crashing. Don't waste your money on this one.

First bought the CD version at goodwill for $4, but it was so good I bought the Steam version so I could play it on modern PCs (the CD version doesn't work on Windows 10 or macOS)

What more can you say about the perfect SimCity game? It's perfect.
Good old game
This shit is a classic, but I don't think it holds up very well with today's standards. I could never figure out how to get out of negative income while also being able to balance facilities for police and fire stations. Soundtrack is a banger regardless.
Still one of the best city sim builders and city sim management games after 20+ years.
Wish I could give this game the amount of time it deserves.

It's a classic for a reason. You probably want some mods to fix up a few things like the traffic simulation, but with those SC4 still compares well to modern city builders.
Best city builder of all time, not sure why they never followed this one up with another.

This game not only holds up 21 years later, but is regarded as one of the best citybuilders of all time. More than worth the price, especially with mods (I haven't played with mods much but other people have)
