TLDR: An improvement over the first game and a fun time for item hunting folks who like some puzzles too
Pros:
- I liked the spread of puzzles this time around! Though I did skip some just because I understood it enough to know it would be tedious (some swap or rotation puzzles)
- the item hunting was more involved, as you have to assembling things, or move stuff around
- The names of the items on the list also made more sense this time , though there were a few occasions of "I would not have called that item this"
- The story is just as fun (cheesy) as last time
Neutral:
- The game offers players the ability to do matching games instead of item hunting, there's also achievements for them like there are for the item hunting
- It's a neat feature for sure, might be better for visually impaired folks, as if you bought this game you hopefully knew that item hunting was a main feature
Cons:
- Some of the audio mixing is off, you can adjust Sounds and Music in the settings but for some cutscenes SFX overpower voice over, even if you have it set low, like it's bugged out and it suddenly louder (these cutscenes might be pre-baked and therefore settings might not apply?)
Coming back for a replay after playing dozens of other HOGs, this one really stands out as being exceptionally well written and well designed. An interesting mystery with some fun twists. The progression is well sequenced and well paced, generally avoiding many pitfalls of other HOGs (finding obscure objects before you know you need them, character omniscience of required objects). Minus a half point for having not one, but two, locked first aid kits, a personal pet peeve.
The scenes are so beautifully and skill fully drawn. They haunt me in the best way. If you're an artist, you must play this just to learn and admire the artwork. Fantasy and horror comes together to ensure a thrilling experience. Thank you team AM.
This was a lot of fun to play! I feel like the note system was more streamlined from the first game. Overall the entire flow of puzzles was better and much more improved.

its remind me of old game that i used to play
I got completely lost in this Game for days, its a long haul with lots of 'going and returning' finding objects and route to where you need to be? At times it gets very 'Dark' and I personally found - because of Length - quite depressing; so not a lot of enthusiasm - grateful rather when i finally achieved Objects. Checking the 'Walk-through' now just before re installing Game - I discovered I almost completed the Game! Surprised me as It had
ground to a halt, I had run out of Clues, nothing moved or responded. Having backtracked twice. I uninstalled the game on the very last task. As seen now in the Walk- through. Not for novices but I am trying Once more!
Engaging follow-up to the Maple Creek game
A good game with a story
As a lifelong hidden objects lover, I really enjoyed this game. It was an upgrade from the first one. Some puzzles were quite difficult, but still fun. It was nice to see the story continue from the first game.

After playing the first installment, I immediately and excitedly hopped right into The Mists of Ravenwood. Just like Maple Creep, Ravenwood was a blast to navigate and explore. I had a blast playing through my first play-through and enjoyed that there was a new variety of puzzles. It was a lot of fun, just a tad difficult for me in comparison to the first in the series. Besides the gameplay, the story was phenomenal! Well written and a great follow-up to Maple Creek. Once again, there is some cheesy voice-acting but it doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the game.

Excellent! My only criticism is that the detective was clueless about the Preacher. I knew it the minute I saw him, but she was shocked at the end of the game. Silly. But really fun one--good puzzles, atmospheric/spooky, lots of places to explore, and very good story. :)
these games are pure cheese and I mess with them heavy. 10/10 I love little puzzles.
