Both games were famous for fast-paced action, hordes upon hordes of enemies and incredible, cool and satisfying gameplay – this pack is perfect both for hard core action shooter gamers and “Sunday school” casuals. Tons of fun included.

wont even boot. it doesnt use ScummVM by default and all the fixes i could find never worked
This is actually 2 games. I'm using Windows 10 and they both required DGVoodoo2 to run.
Incoming Forces (the sequel) is why you're buying this. You do not need any knowledge of the first game. Right away, you're hit with a ridiculously long load time for an intro video. Once you hit that menu screen, and for the rest of the game, you're treated to a soundtrack that sounds straight out of the "Galaxy Quest" movie. It's a very basic game of this type where you operate a couple kind of tanks, aircraft, and turrets. This is an early type of this game, and you don't get choices - your vehicle is assigned to you during segments, and special weapons are produced by weapons plants on their own. Although there isn't a lot of variety, the bread and butter of this game is its story and cutscenes. It's just enough to make you forget that you're just doing the same things over and over again. If you enjoyed the "Battlezone" games then this might feel like the lite version.
The first game, simply called, "Incoming" is a relic. It was a marvel in its time. But being a predecessor of the genre also means a ton of wonkiness. A time when we hadn't figure out a standardized controls, for instance, and so the controls are not intuitive. It's really a shame I couldn't take myself back there, to that frame of mind, and enjoy the game as people had when it came out. No worries, the plot is super simplistic and barely tied to the second game. Play it once just to see what "Incoming Forces" evolved from.
It contains the base game called "Incoming!"!
If you are able to put a dgVoodoo2 into the games directory it should run just fine.
If you have texture/graphical issues, set the Output API to "Direct3D MS 11 WRAP (software)", and it will run as intended.
Oh and by the way: Game is a blast from the past.
The visuals look stunning for its year of release. Flying is the best part of these games, but the land combat with the hover tank is ass yet manageable. The plot is dumb, but it's not where these games shine anyway. The missions might be too easy and repeat the similar kind of tasks. It's nothing outstanding, but they're two decent games.
Incoming (1998) is bundled with Incoming Forces.
Incoming (1998) needs a bit of work to get it working properly, but once it does, it's a brutal throw back to late 90s arcade shooting game and a lot of fun !
As others have said this does include the original Incoming but you must select it from the launch menu. The title should have been "Incoming + Forces" to make it clear and the developers should have made a new UI box on startup to make it easier to select which game to play. As it stands if you launch the game from the shortcut it will only start Incoming Forces with no option to switch to the original. There are also a few graphical issues which could have been patched for the release on Steam but the game is still playable. I am getting an issue with the black parts of the textures being transparent on the vehicles.
I can't really speak for Incoming Forces because I've never played it but the original Incoming is amazing. Another minor thing to note is that one of the trading cards seems to have the same image as another. I am going to recommend this game solely because it includes the original Incoming. I wouldn't bother getting it if you're using Windows 10 or above because it will have a lot of issues and may not even run.
You need to install so much other stuff to get the game to work okay. Get Incoming on ZOOM Platform. That one has everything preinstalled, along with the Subversions DLC and the game's manual and soundtrack for you to download.
It may show 0 hours played on record, but I played this all the time as a kid and wasted so many hours on it.
This title is misleading, however. It includes "Incoming" in the installation, and asks which game you want to play when launching it. You can also play directly from the game folder without steam.
The worst issues about this game are getting it to work on a newer computer, almost solely so. Thankfully there are some good guides here on steam.
The actual game is quite fun. The soundtrack in particular is probably one of the most underrated, amazing soundtracks to a game from the 90s you'll ever hear. The game can also be moved through pretty quickly if you know what you're doing. Its a great "I need a break" game, if you want to step back from DotA or CS:GO and need to refresh yourself with something else.
There's a special tweak to play the game in 60 fps over 30 fps, and that makes the game move twice is fast, which is surprisingly good at refreshing your reflexes for when you go back to your competitive games.
I wouldn't play incoming forces, but I'd play the original incoming.
Incoming Forces
cons:
doesn't work.
crash at startup.
requires your own time to fix the startup problems.
sucks.
I loved these games back in the day, but these need work to function correctly. I can install software and make changes to make the game playable, but why are we paying money for a port of two games that have a lot of problems running?
Please make updates to these. As is, I would rather play Incoming on my Dreamcast.
Gosh damn I love this game from my youth till now but you need to look at this guide first to fix it if you have windows 8 and beyond. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=809292289
Go to the Forces: Background Loop Error in windows 8 and above section of the page for help on our newer systems!
Also make sure to run Forces first after applying the same fix too both of the folders since running forces first allowed me to download the old background program or driver that both of them need to run.
If you have it stuck open in the background Look for "forces.exe" or such under details in task manager.
Says I have played 2 hours, which is interesting seeing as this game does not work. It does run in the background until you manually close it out through task manager. This game has lots of nostalgia attached to it, but I cannot recommend a game that does not work and steam will not let me get a refund for it.
NOTE: This game is a collection of original Incoming and Incoming Forces.
My first PC game is the original Incoming. It's still good today.
For Incoming:
Pros:
+ Various game modes. It includes three single player modes and four multiplayer modes. You can select arcade, campaign action/tactical, split screen, team deathmatch and other modes.
+ Two secret mini-games. You need to type a cheat code "numberonedacrestreet" on the main menu in order to play them.
+ Very beautiful explosion and debris.
+ Unique weapons and vehicles.
+ You can control so many units. Human units are hard to control than aliens, but they have fast speed and more powerful weapons.
+ A lot of Easter eggs. I found some giraffes in the Africa campaign.
Cons:
- The game isn't compatible with modern optical mouse. So you need an old wheeled mouse to play those tactical levels.
The original incoming doesn't fit right in my screen on windows 10 and there are no resolution options. The mouse won't go to the maximize icon in the upper right etc.. Incoming Forces doesn't launch at all, not even when I go to the folder and launch the app manually (as administrator or otherwise). Also the orginal incoming is not compatible with a controller unless you get a program to map it. The orginal is fun with a controller, and I'll probably never know how bad the second one is. Good luck.
OK I'm gonna ignore the godawful sequel that is somehow mandatorily tacked on (and really shouldn't be the main attraction) and review Incoming, the original game, which alone is well worth the £7.
Classic arcade flight/combat game for PC (then Dreamcast, THEN arcade systems funnily enough). It looks great for its time and it is still satisfying as hell to play. In arcade mode, pick a plane/heli/ship of your choice and blow other ships up for as long as it takes them to blow you up. Periodically upgrades get dropped for you to collect, so depending on how good you are, arcade runs can go for a surprisingly long time.
What really stands out, however, is the campaign mode. It's maybe a little repetitive but the various scenarios you're placed in get challenging, like defending a runway from an onslaught of bombers. Story-wise, it's a game of its time. It features just about EVERY 90s alien movie trope imaginable:
Arctic-based invaders with no clearly-defined motive ✓
Man comes together around the world to get rid of the evil aliens ✓
Hilariously incapable military equipment somehow beats back well-equipped aliens through sheer will (and lasers) ✓
A sudden horrifying realisation that the scale of the problem is worse than first thought ✓
Humans go get revenge on aliens for no clearly-defined reason ✓
There's also a tactics mode but I've barely touched it since I'm not a strategy kind of guy. Sure it's fun though.
There's a fairly decent variety of maps, most of which are set on Earth but a couple are extra-terrestrial, and a LOT of craft to choose from. There's a good few attack helicopters, several real American fighters and bombers, a Russian MiG, and some pretty imaginative spacecraft drawing from both 50s and 90s alien motifs. Oh, and the humans get cool spaceships of their own further down the line.
I first played this as a kid as part of a huge software bundle that came with the family PC, and I was hooked. I've since bought it on both here and GOG, just out of nostalgia and respect. I have no idea why the game doesn't have the recognition it deserves. It's classic. GO BUY IT.
P.S.: numberonedacrestreet ;)
PROS:
+ fun gameplay
+ big range of vehicles
+ great vehicle controls
+ nice story
+ cheesy B-movie cutscenes
+ Incoming is in the bundle
CONS:
- problems starting on Windows 8.1 & above
- graphic glitches & clipping
- somewhat short game time
- cheesy B-movie cutscenes
- Incoming has poor compatibility, bad graphic settings & mouse control issues
Comment:
First I will mention the bundled Incoming game, the parent of Incoming Forces. It was an amazing game at the time when it came out and was lots of fun. You play as a human soldier defending Earth from aliens. However, it aged pretty badly, not only in the graphics sector but in OS compatibility. While I was able to run the game I always had some upper bar or other obstruction over the top of the game screen. On top of that the controls are terribly clunky especially with mouse so just go full keyboard control instead.
So perhaps try it out but move on to the much better sequel Incoming Forces where this time you are in control of an alien pilot. The story is not complex but somewhat cute and quite enjoyable. The range of vehicles expands, you get to control turrets, tanks, artillery and a range of air fighters. Missions are replayable separately and have a High Score system. The transition between vehicles is really smooth and controls are great. The graphics are a bit clunky but that does not matter in this case. However only 16 (mostly short) missions is not that much. Overall a fun shooter with a big range of vehicles and nice (although cheesy) story. Recommended.
*Note: If you have issues running Incoming Forces see THIS GUIDE for help.

oh 1990s how i missed you yes im that old i remember playing this game before the dawn of the 21st century beleve it or not these graphics were the best the 1990s had to offer still tame by todays standards but also still a fun game to play personal rating 8/10
also for you late 1990s nastalgics out this games is a recommendation
Now this game, I only bought it for the original Incoming as many others did as well, so I will review the first game as i didn't bother to play much into Forces.
Short review: Just get it if you like fast paced Arcade Shooters with an okay story.
Long review: The game itself is a pretty straight forward Attack/Defense game where you can control various air and ground vehicles, and sometimes also can control several units in a strategy minigame in the story. While the Arcade mode is what the name says, just flying around with an airplane and collecting points. Imagine the game being 'Alien Invaders' with 3D graphics and more variation on vehicles to choose from. The story btw is nothing which will blow you away, just the generic 'Aliens invade Earth' story, but the way the gameplay works here, i recommend a gamepad, best experience, and your triggers won't work if you play with xbox pad, but other than that you don't need much buttons anyways.
I have mixed feelings about this game. Its a good classic shooter for its time where as you've got 3 types of vehicles to choose from, with the slight repetive missions it seems like the best Classic Shooter for its time. Honestly I thought we were going to play an FPS as a soldier but I guess I kinda read "Ground Forces" wrong but hey, it still seemed Ok. Now I'm not recommending it because most people would find it repetitive and ongoing with the same thing over and over again as well with the massive jumps in diffilculty that is just insane, Easy is too easy but Medium changes everything to the point where it would be hard and hard would be insaner so its really hard to get what you enjoy. But if your into Classic shooters, I'm all for it!
An arcade space shooter which is a pure classic. Comes along with the original Incoming too which is equally good. Gameplay is very fun and easy to get into. =)
i have changed this post satus as i have found a fix for windows 7 that will let you play incoming (the free game) look on forum for windows 7 z buffer fix i still recomend this game and still stand by what i said about about incoming forces being a good game and at sale price of £3.49 its a bargain see my thred for fix http://steamcommunity.com/app/283390/discussions/0/558749824442851126/
