Описание

The Infinity is the largest spaceship ever built by man-kind; flung into the void of space to secure humanity a new home amongst the stars. However, instead of discovering paradise, the inhabitants of The Infinity unlocked the door to a long forgotten nightmare.

Deep inside this leviathan something terrible hunts, out of myth and legend the last werewolf stalks the ship. Infinity Runner centres on a prisoner desperately trying to escape the decaying ship and the clutches of the terror within. It’s a sci-fi action running game for PC, Mac, and Linux that features 14 action packed levels, Oculus Rift DK1 & DK2 (Runtime 4.4) support and online multi-player.

In Infinity Runner, the player controls the protagonist, the prisoner, from a first-person perspective as he is challenged to escape from the gargantuan spaceship. This is accomplished by use of techniques and movements inspired by the disciplines of parkour and mixed martial arts, the game-play conveys the players strain and physical contact with the environment whilst dealing with the constantly changing and expansive surroundings. As well as these evasive elements there’s also combat sections in the game where a dynamic targeting system is used which calls for fast reflex combinations. The game supports the latest virtual reality technology as well as having multi-player mode which enables up to 32 people to play head to head.

Even though it’s a slick action game the story is very important part of your journey, as well as being your call to action it will reveal revelations along your action packed ride. Some of the story is told at high pace but there are some slower paced transition sections at the end of each level where we develop the narrative for the player. Without giving too much away you have someone guiding you through the game who talks to you telepathically. Their role is not only to orientate you but to help unfold the story for the player as you find out who you are and why you’re on the ship.

The Oculus Rift mode literally transports you inside the Infinity spaceship to be totally immersed in the thick of the action. The game-play is designed to complement the VR mode so you get the best experience possible and it enhances the game by adding another dimension to the playing experience.

There is also another feature that transforms the game into a unique experience, the multi-player mode. This allows up to a 32 players to battle it out head to head to find out who’s the ultimate Infinity Runner.

Infinity Runner packs a lot into one super slick sci-fi action game bundle and with it re-invents the running genre!

FEATURES
* WEREWOLVES IN SPACE!
* 14 ACTION PACKED LEVELS
* ARCADE MODE
* STORY-MODE
* OCULUS RIFT MODE (DK1 - DK2 Runtime 4.4)
* WOLF LEVELLING SYSTEM
* MULTI-PLAYER MODE WITH UP TO 32 PLAYERS

STARSHIP INFINITY SPECIFICATION
Over 150 miles long and nearly 30 miles in diameter at its widest point, the progress of The Infinity's construction at the Tranquillity Ship yards on the Moon could clearly be seen from Earth. The revolutionary ship requires a crew of 5,000,000 people to keep it running and is designed to house another 10 million people as general population ready for the colonisation of new worlds. The Bio-domes, seen along the side of the ship, house forests that cover nearly 60,000 square miles in total, providing oxygen and a food source for the population and an environment for rest and relaxation. The greatest technological achievement can be found in the engine room, which houses the revolutionary Infinity Drive. It is vastly smaller than previous engines at a mere 10 miles long and far more powerful than traditional models which would take up to a third of the length of a starship, creating space for more brave colonists heading out into the unknown.

This game feels like a MUCH better version of Temple that's on mobile, if you want something simple and quick this is a good game to pass the time, I enjoy quick-reaction type games and this one was enjoyable, though some parts are frustrating simply because there isn't enough to time react, at least at first, but you get the hang of it quickly. Overall a good time and worth the asking price.

Interesting concept, and thou the game dos'nt really do what
it could have done in terms of story its enough to keep you
playing.

Could have been more, but fun for a while and priced for what
it is

It's bit of and odd idea, not too great game, ends up in a gliffhanger and promises more in title Beyond Infinity, which probably doesn't exist and on top of that can be quite short between 1-2 hours in normal playthrough. Still it's unique and fun enough game, that can thump it up for bit more than 1€.

Basically you are running in three lined corridor, collecting pointless (give points) data packs, evading all kinds of deadly hindrances, doing little QTE slaps on enemies, jumping and sliding and eventually making to elevator or other way of transportation to continue to the 2nd sector or new level while hearing more of the lady who contacts you in Borderlands style speaking screen on top and giving tad information and help.

So it's a game where you run, turn your head to not run in wall, sometimes pick up syringe to become werewolf and become almost invulnerable vs human mode, have little QTE events (besides the last big boi wolf) and enjoy freefalling in space momentarily.

It's not an fps. It's a running game on rails, which is fine but it's not very good.

It's not very hard.
It relies on quicktime events for combat.
The werewolf aspect is just a silly gimmick. (It does nothing to enhance the game. and makes combat just silly cutscenes you're forced to watch.)
I think this game was meant for kids, because everybody bleeds green blood.
The music sucks.
The story is really bad. (The whole story is you trying to escape a spaceship while a telepathic woman, who is helping you escape keeps telling you she will explain everything - eventually. She never does. You escape the ship, she tells you she will eplain everything... to be continued! Yep you get that kind of ending. But it is obvious that this game is never going to be continued.)
Finally, the game just makes no sense. It really is a type of game where the gameplay is hurt by having the story and world that it does. You run, run, run, and for some reason you can't slow down because... urgency? and you're in such a hurry that if you're not careful you run into walls and die because you didn't turn the corner fast enough. And the spaceship, apparently, is just one very long hallway that you have to run, run, run through. Occasionally you turn into a werewolf to run, run, run through it some more.

VR is not supported anymore for this game (year 2018)

I tried to launch this game with -vr options, LibOVRWrapper, etc. and I can say that it doen't work with recent Oculus Rift device. If you want a good VR runner game try 'Thumper' instead.
That said this game is not bad at all if you're into runner games. It has the same feel as Temple Run on Android (three lanes and 90° turns), but plays in first person. The story mode offers 12 levels with good chalenge. The levels are quite short (2-3mn long), but they are quite challenging and fun, there are also some QTE when fighting guards. There is also an arcade mode with infinite randomly generated levels.
This game is now quite old and the textures look a bit dull, but in counterpart it will run at perfect 60fps on recent hardwares.

Here's a quick +/-:

Pros:

  • Challenging gameplay with balanced difficulty
  • Polished UI, gamepad support, options for remapping keys, advanced graphic config, etc.
  • Inspired art and graphic design, same singular style as Soul Axiom and Master Reboot
  • Achievements, trading cards

Cons:

  • Some repetitiveness in gameplay, levels and musics
  • Stupid base story (a werewolf running in space stations corridors.. :/)
  • [*]devs seem to have deserted the community hub and multiplayer mode is obviously dead.

In conclusion, a not so bad game, despites it's now old. If you like runner games, Infinity Runner might deserve a buy when on sale.

The game is pretty decent, though I dont consider this game as a FPS but rather First-Person (FP). Because in this game, your character will be automatically running and this game is all about reflexes. Involving dodging obstacles in your path and fighting enemies with button reactions. Its simple, get through them and dont get killed until you reach the ending.

Theres also an ability that turns you into a wolf, which can automatically kill your enemies without button reaction but you still have to dodge obstacles. You also have lives and theres checkpoints along the way. If you waste all your lives, you have to restart the level. Pretty fair honestly, and if you want a challenge you can do hard mode.

Furthermore, your character is unarmed. He's a pretty good fighter but its not like you will do anything other than button reaction. No guns, and literally you have nothing (not even clothes!). You are just a naked person running through to the end.

The game is pretty fun, though I do have some bit of criticism on it. Such as the area being too dark at some levels (as in the lights being very dimmed, not the darkness part (which has in game but funny thing is its more clear than the lights being on).

Theres also collectibles, and data to collect which if you collect many you will gain an extra life.

Very good game which I recommend, but if you want shooting this isnt the one.

You are a naked werewolf on a spaceship.

By an amazing coincidence, that's exactly what this game is about!

There's 3 modes, singleplayer Story missions with 3 levels of difficulty, singleplayer Endless Runner & (mostly dead) multiplayer ER which can be customised.

Funky music aids the Flow states you'll enjoy as you squish cops heads and escape your overlords.

Become your own power animal and sliiiiide.

This game was more about luck and learning from dying rather than skill. The story had potential but it's lack of meaningful development had me losing interest quickly. The ending left much to be desired, trying for a cliffhanger but coming across as just incomplete.

This game was advertised as a parkour werewolf in space game. I was sold no matter how bad it would be. Never have I been more mislead. It's just another crappy temple run game. Parkour shouldn't even been allowed in the description. Steam should have allowed refunds on how misleading this game was

Very enjoyable game. Really loved it.

Well, normally I do not enjoy platformers nor running games, because most of the time I fail in these genres. But this game has werewolves in space, so I thought I give it a try. And I never regretted it.

Pro:

  • WEREWOLVES IN SPACE - they are so cuddly
  • Nice graphics, nice cutscenes
  • fluid gameplay, no frame rate drops
  • parcour themed, 1st person, not too hard
  • QTE combat system fits the game perfectly
  • varied level graphics fit a humongous spaceship
  • Arcade modes, Collectibles, Challanges, nice Trading Card Graphics

Con:

  • Could have more werewolves in it.
  • Werewolf mode is mostly a bonus level - a bit of wasted potential
  • Turning mouse gestures sometimes a bit sluggish -> running into walls
  • Story could be a bit more fleshed out
  • Ends in "to be continued" - a bit of a downer
  • [*] Game was completed on easy within two hours

Overall, I give it a 7/10 and I had a lot of fun.

Infinity Runner is (as you've probably guessed) an endless runner where the gimmick is that you're playing a werewolf IN SPACE. There's a bit of a story but it's pretty sparse and really an excuse to get to the running. Overall I found the running really fun. The backdrops are all pretty interesting in a sort of pulp sci-fi way (though sometimes on your first run it's hard to tell how to navigate some of the obstacles).

There is a lives system where you can die a certain amount of times and go back to a previous checkpoint rather than having to restart. The lives system seemed a bit unnecessary and I think I would have preferred (at least for story mode) to have infinite lives and just go back to the last checkpoint every time and maybe lose some points or something. Combat is executed by QTEs and the final boss fight killed me enough times that I had to restart the level a few times and that was a bit irritating.

Running feels great and navigating obstacles without losing momentum is super fun, but the mouse/keyboard controls can be a bit awkward. The game might feel a bit smoother with a controller.

The arcade mode is a true endless runner where you run through the different sections of the ship until you run out of lives, and I think that's where the game really shines. In arcade mode you can choose to turn combat off if you'd prefer to not have to deal with the QTEs.

There is a multiplayer mode of some kind but I didn't try it so I don't have an opinion on it.

I find this game good!, and once you grow used to the controls it can be very fast paced and exciting almost.
the werewolf is very well done and interesting the last fight i had to go through was the most panic inducing key pressing ever, having to go through trial and error.
but while I do enjoy this game greatly i do have a problem with it, one mainly being on the level where you are in the garden/forest dome. the quick time events with the guards glitched badly! always killing me instently insted of the keys even popping up giving me a chance to dodge them. so the only way i was able to "fix" this was rabidly pressing pause giving me a chance to see the keys and press them, finally getting past the level.
but i say if you like werewolves. and playing as a naked character turning into the unstopable monster, this is the game for you lol

Oh boy...This game..

Well, its a game where you automatically run down corridors occasionally turning left or right and dodging everything possible. you go through "Sections" which take about 3 minutes or so to complete at a time. Took me 90 minutes to complete this game which amazed me. The game is VERY short. but it was pretty fun time I must say

Though...The Final Part of the game is CHEAP. There is no Combat in this game it is all QTE's (Quick Time Events) and the final area is only that. and this game is very picky. so if you hit one wrong key BOOM..Restart. and you try again, but of course losing all your lives will force a restart on the entire final stage again just to retry that frustrating final encounter.

So overall I liked the game, but that final area really got to me after retrying the level a few times to actually pass it. for the sale price I got it for ($2.99) its really not bad.

4 out of 5 stars.
I don't own an occulus rift, so I can't rate it on that experience. I can however rate it on its gameplay.

I find Infinity runner is a game best entered with few expectations. It promises pretty much what you think it does. Its a first person action running simulator.
That said, its an on rails obstical course with an interesting twist. The werewolves in space theme allows you to turn into a hulking werewolf mid-run, and change many of the rules in your favor, as it should. The combat in the game (yes, it has combat) is in the form of QTEs depending on the position and number of enemies in a room. If you succeed the challenge, you are rewarded with a smash and kill style fight as your avatar kills everyone in the room and continues to run at break neck speeds.
Yes, you are running at break neck speeds as any failure to react correctly to the environment as it explodes around you is an instant death. Thankfully you as a player are barely penalised, as you are almost immediately put back into sonic speeds at revival.
I rate this game highly because I believe it accomplised its goal almost entirely. I found myself glued to the screen, not trying to contemplate what was going on in the world, but instead reacting to my immediate environment. Each level brings its own style of obsticals, from literally jumping through space to sliding under gunships as they lay fire down on my naked body.

I wouldn't play this game for the lore, but why would you? This is a game meant to be played for about 20 minutes at a time, and is very satisfying as that. RUN!

While normally not anything like the usual type of game that I would play, the idea of werewolves in space was just too fun a concept for me to pass up. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was fun to play. Its kinda entertaining to just go through in Arcade mode and see how long it takes me to faceplant into a wall by failing to make a turn in time (or, more embarassingly, turning the wrong way), while trying to keep myself from accidentally jumping face-first into the obstacles I'm supposed to be sliding under.

The Quick Time Events, which normally annoy the hell out of me, didn't do that in this game, well, except for that one fight at the end. Though, really, I think the game would have been better with more werewolf in it.

First things first, this game gets buggy the moment you turn up the graphics, it will give you lag that either can kill you, or will by skiping the QTE's and making you die instantly. However i still say this is a good game. Why? becaues when it works it is good fun, its got very streamline gameplay and the story while very low on answers does give you enough to make you intrested in how it continues. Overall its a fairly good game with enough bugs to make one very mad, Id still recomend it though cause if you work around them it is a fun game

Canabalt if you added a thrid dimension crossed with Mirror's Edge but on rails (and with combat that doesn't utterly kill your momentum). It's pretty fun, and addictive enough that I completed the story mode in one go and then played through the hard and arcade modes until some real-life errands dragged me away. Normally for a game this short I'd say the price is a bit high, but it's a game based around being fast, so. It also has to be commended for having a silly premise but making it work by playing it straight; way too many games start with a wacky idea and then constantly push it with zany humour until you're sick of the entire thing.

The flaws obviously weren't enough to stop me playing, but they're worth noting: I don't think a game like this really needs a lives system, it would probably be enough just to dock your score when you die. There were a few rare instances where I failed to dodge an obstacle and kind of just clipped through it instead, which was helpful but probably something that might need fixing. The biggest flaw for me was that the voice actor (there's really only one with a speaking role) runs through her lines faster than a werewolf through a spaceship. Better voice direction would really have helped there, towards the end I was beginning to suspect they'd shot the cutscenes before they recorded the dialogue and panicked when they realised they weren't long enough to get out what little plot the game has.

Utter disappointment.

The game concept is pretty easy to get a grasp of. Automatically run down a corridor dodging obstacles by hitting buttons at the right time. Left and Right to dodge left and right, click to jump, right click to slide, look left or right to turn down a corridor. Sounds simple enough in theory, right?

You'll quickly begin to notice problems when the environment starts falling apart on you. While the asthetics are cool to look at, the different chatoic elements often leave you with no way to reasonably discern what button to hit until it's too late. It turns the game from a fun, adrenaline fueled thrill ride into a frusturating chore of trial and error.

The particular bit that sticks out in my mind was where you ripline past two droids that are firing at you. The second droid gets in your way, and you have to drop off the ripline and slide under it. However, you can't slide until you've hit the ground, and it's really hard to tell when you've hit the ground in this game because of your extreme forward momentum and the first person perspective. It took several tries to figure out what percise moment to hit the button, again through trial and error.

This combines with controls that just aren't responsive enough. I have a pretty good gaming PC, and I turned my quality way down, and it still felt like their was a slight delay on every button press. It wouldn't be so bad if you wern't going so fast.

Another person might be able to look past these flaws and get immersed in the experience. For me, the above issues consistently ruined my immersion. If you want a good runner game, check out TEC 3001. Aside form the simpler graphics, it does everything this game does 10x better.
