Fantastic sandbox shooter that is excellent to mess around with. Especially when you turn up the unit counts
Amazing Game
Ram Ranch is under siege, under lock-down.
Basically ARMA but top down... kind off. It's fun for what it is and the DLCs are fun addition (especially Edelweiss <3). My only complain is due to FOV sometimes its hard to judge terrain elevation. For example one time i aim enemy BTR with a Gustav, straight clear aim without obstacle ahead, recticle is green then i took the shot and it went over it. If i look closely where i stand kinda slightly higher than the BTR but during active combat quick decision making is crucial so some error judgement like this can affect the whole fight. Maybe a some dynamic lighting could fix this imo. Even tho like this game, also can't wait for East Front DLC
good
I love this game there is not anything like it and if anyone knows any game like this let me know
Fuck this game fun for 4 hours maybe get on sale only
I had a lot of fun playing this with friends, think of it as the old battlefields, each team has to conquer areas in which you can spawn, except isometric view. And as you rank up, you can also lead up to 10 soldiers, which is pretty simple, there's no complicated menus or something like that. Another cool thing is that there's like a "bigger world map" that you can use to move to the next stage of your choice after going to an "extraction point" once you won the current one you're in, making a campaign a conquest rather than just separate battles.
That aside, the biggest pro this game has is its shooting, it feels pretty nice, and fun, once you pick it up you can waste enemies quite easily, but they can do the same to you too, so you'll never feel too op. There are no classes, but you can buy weapons. The arsenal at your disposal is pretty varied, all weapons feel unique and do something different, sometimes you might even find especial weapons.
And there's quite a bit of interesting mods you can get on the workshop and try, so it's definitely a good purchase.
yes
Played the demo, figured it was alreight but never bought it becasue 12$ was too high of an ask.
The price dropped to 4$, you're speaking my language now
HOWEVER the game ran worse than the fucking demo!
Load up the game, spend 5 minutes tweaking the options and match settings
Spawn into the game, walks north and immediately get domed by the AI first shot, 1 hit I'm dead
Now I can't respawn.
Okay I guess that's unfortunate but not too bad I'll just start a new matc- FILE ERROR CAN'T START NEW MATCH
Give me my fucking 4$ back.
Good game
What a fun game! Really good for a LAN party. Pro tip! Once you win your first battle in campaign mode, the campaign isnt done! You can "extract" from certain points on the map and win the whole game world!!!
Had a good time.
Isometric squad building chaos, and I'm here for it.
Its fine but with pretty much every mod being broken or requiring straight up manual file editing pretty limited on what you can do
The game is great, the community is awesome, and I keep coming back from time to time. The first to install and last to uninstall in every machine I have. Still, own all DLCs for a reason. This game is just the BEST in its genre...
Absolutely a little fun game to entertain, love it and can't wait for the RwR II
boring and only played it a long time ago because my computer couldnt run anything else at the time
Normal game but boring style, gets boring quickly and the bots have aimbot.
I`m a general who kills. Not a general who loves.
I just love this game and the effort the devs put into it, as well as the community and their fantastic mods! RWR 2 has been announced on June 6th, 2024 and I'm looking forward to it. The game itself can be addicting from time to time because of it's enormous replayability potential. The graphics are simple voxels but it still looks awesome and the sound is superb for such a game. There are also some easter eggs/jokes present in game such as funny jokes told by the soldiers or funny names for AI units such as "Cheeseburger" McDonald :D
Just an awesome game and lots of fun guaranteed!
Great fun!
The re playable value in this game is insane. I enjoy countless hours playing with other players in multiplayer and trying out new weapons. Ngl this is the most friendliest player community I have seen so far.
Shit
isometric shooter that reminds me of games like battlefield 1942 and battlefield vietnam. fun game overall, with a good workshop modbase that gives plenty of content to try as well. nice
Fun at the beginning and better if you have mods, but the requirement to level up in order to use more weapons sucks. Probably worth it on a big sale to get it with friends to mess around for a few hours. The mods are pretty cool though and the game does get substantially better with a group of friends. Only worth it if getting it with friends
DO NOT BUY IF COLORBLIND
This is a fun game, but unplayable for anyone colorblind. Two of the three faction colors are green and brown, and for colorblind people these will likely be indistinguishable. The Devs have been aware of this issue since release, and have not attempted to fix it. Their "solution" is to (1) suggest enabling windows color correction, and (2) linking a mod that has been deprecated since 2020. They have knowingly ignored this issue for 10 years, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. So, colorblind people, do not buy this game.
122 hours so far and not a minute spent in multiplayer
solder
Mediocre but captivating.
The game is not bad but it is meh. I would probably recommend you look at foxhole instead.
Games fun! lots of replay potential
Ran by part time dev's that make a straight banger of a game 10/10
dont let the look fool you this game is the violence, 10/10 it beat me up a bit.
Hama Offensive Wikipedia Page Simulator
This shit bussin
better than you expect
Turn up the gore level to 100% You'll thank me later.
Tanks/Vehicles can't go through trees and thin fences. gets quite repetitive without simple destruction physics.
One of my first higher hour counts on steam. I love top down real time combat. Game is addictive. Still people playing on a few servers. RWR is not dead yet!
gud :)

This is a really fun casual game if a bit difficult at times.
The DLC's are kind of hard but that's it.
400000000 dead 15 ft. of ground gained
Very fun combination of tactical controls with a lot of arcade action. Feels very reminiscent of the old Star Wars Battlefront but with a different perspective and more individual control. Your a lot more fragile but can do more to minimise the risk like taking cover (which is extremely strong, only fire 1-2 shots at a time and you are almost never in danger unless they flank you) or laying down suppressing fire to force them to cover then taking aimed shots to whittle their numbers.
Campaign starts you very few choices, but spend a few hours pushing the front or taking flanks and you wind up with access to gear, squad-mates, and most importantly radio support. HQ controlling what objective to push is pretty fun too as it's entirely up to you what base to attack, the current objective is just where most of the AI will go. Capturing a less defended base is usually easier and opens the flank or divides their attention. You can also deprive them of APCs and tanks which makes counter-attacks much less formidable.
There are some serious difficulty spikes coming from a few issues combining into a miserable slog. AI flip-flops between a vegetable and aimbot unless they're allies in which they crowd grenades. One minute you're 30 feet away and they can't figure out where you are, next you get 1-tapped from off screen by a Private. Vehicles can take more rockets than you can carry, and don't expect your allies to help as they barely ever carry anti-tank. Vehicles and turrets also feel your main-character syndrome and will absolutely turn 180 to pump a tank round into you instead of anything else. Some maps are LOADED with vehicle spawns and god forbid your tank does anything other than drive in and die to 9 rockets. Enemy officers can take a lot of punishment before being knocked down, then some more to put them in bleedout, then another 3-4 rounds to finally kill them. Sometimes enemy bases are loaded with defenders and will keep clown car spawning all over, especially their last point as they just respawn en masse if they get a single frame of over 1/3 control. The Greycollar final mission is all chokepoints with tons of MGs and mortars with enough bodies around that sniping the gunner won't do much as they get replaced in less than a second.
For all it's trouble the game is worth it in my eyes, for every time you die an unfair death there is a kill spree that never seems to end. Just get used to holding crouch behind a wall and firing at the edge of your screen and you should rank up no problem. If a point is proving too tough to take spend some time collecting money and call in paratroopers, and don't stop until you've dried your bank account or the point is yours. Seriously the radio has no cooldown outside of it's use time so keep calling cause if HQ hasn't blocked your number you haven't called them enough.
its basically just isometric ravenfield but you can add a 3rd team to the combat instead of just 2
Very underrated game, nice to play every now and then
I love the top down arcade shooter game play
Optional permadeath modes for single-player modes would be nice. Some games are fun with permadeath, not this one; or at least not zombie mode. I had just unlocked the biggest gun, and only had killed two zombies with it before the fire delay killed me. Sadly, I panicked when I ran into a few hard-to-kill zombies, tried to fire without remembering the delay, thought the gun was empty, tried to reload, not working... looked down to see if I was hitting the reload key, looked up to see a goo thrower knocked me down and the other zombies had an attack that instantly knocks you down and as there were 3 of them, I had no chance to recover.
But really? The gun does not auto-reload when fire-on-empty?
