I like puzzle games in which the player has to look into the future to see the proper courses of action. Not just doing the best thing in the current moment. Great puzzle game.
Its a fun game to play locally, or online with friends. It's relaxing similar to tetris to me. It's also nice to relax with at the end of the day as its thought provoking puzzles but not usually too hard.
ive been a fan of this game for a few years, and its probably one of my favorite games. it may not seem that interesting, but the characters and story are great, the gameplay is challenging, but fun. very comedic, and you can, indeed, play as a sausage. he is personally one of my favorite characters. i would recommend playing with a controller, as playing on the keyboard makes my hands hurt after a while, but maybe i just have a bad keyboard.
A very challenging puzzle game. Admittedly the puzzles can be a pain in the ass so don't be afraid to fail because you will...A LOT!
These puzzles are AGONIZINGLY difficult!!! But I did buy it for the multiplayer, which is super fast paced and fun no matter the mode.
i like tumblestone. it's simple and easy enough for a child but strategy keeps me engaged as an adult. it's a nice relax and unwind game.
got this game on xbox gold couple years back, had to buy it again so much fun. the free multiplayer is a great feature wish there were more games that included it
Very nice graphics and super gameplay! Awesome!
This is a really fun local multiplayer puzzle game– it was quick for everyone to learn and got super competitive. The "weight" system is a great way to even the matches. While the battle modes were interesting, my group really enjoyed the puzzle mode the most.
Purchased this game having been a long time player of Match 3 games and was immediately struck with the total lack of any instructions! You Tube was some help but still disappointed. For example, there is a house icon that appears which I twice hit trying to GUESS what does this do - but apparently it is skill level so now I have wasted two of those. Now I am on level 1 - 18 and already stuck - barely 5% of the way through the game. Fantastic game if you enjoy getting frustrated over and over again. I will continue to play it in hopes it gets better but at the moment this might be the worse game ever purchased from Steam!
To add insult - I use my LAST SKIP to skip a level & I am still on that level - so the game is basically over me. What good is skipping if you are on the same level!
PLUS Hard to believe but I am unable to change my name or even start another game. Apparently I will need to uninstall the game & reinstall the game if I wish to start over. Shame there are no instructions with this game - beyond disappointed.
Eventually I asked for a Refund which STEAM granted and have uninstalled this game. You have been warned.
Just when you thought it could not get any worse - I did uninstall the game from Steam & and then reinstall the game & the game saved my "progress" so still stuck. Total waste of time & money and by far the worse game ever purchased on Steam.
Sadly enough, I cannot recommend Tumblestone. The reasons can be squished into three main ones:
Firstly, it is practically built out of corn, its so corny. No real humor, just the corny leftovers. Everything from the graphical design to the dialogue seems to have the fun boiled out of it until it becomes nauseatingly bland yet corny.
Secondly, it is a slog. The first world has 30 main levels and halfway through that you'll already have had enough of the tumblestones and your character. At level 30 you wonder what else might be wrong with you that you've played this far.
Thirdly, it is way overpriced for what it delivers.
This game is amazing, simple, fun and challenging!
If you have any company to play locally it becomes a MUST HAVE!
There is a very cool rubberbanding mechanic that makes it really fair to play among different skill levels and even children!
I have played with my 7 year old nephew and it was a blast, my wife loved it!
The only game we could play this long was Duck Game!
Top tier stuff!
I've also played this game on xbox and mobile. I love the puzzles and modifiers, there are so many unique challenges in this game. I have gotten very good at puzzle races and wish I had more people to race against!
This puzzle game is quite good and reasonably priced. Yes, it's cute. But gameplay is where it counts. As in most puzzle games, the mechanics are introduced, practiced, and then later combined. The idea is to remove three tiles of the same color from the bottoms of the columns and continue until the puzzle has been completely disassembled. It does remind one of a reverse Tetris (more accurately, a reverse match-3 game).
My only complaints are the the "story," such as it is, is completely phoned in and uninteresting to me, and that a couple of puzzles are incredibly difficult compared to the ones immediately preceding them or even following them. I got frustrated for a few days, but I generally enjoyed this casual, creative puzzle game.
Fun, addictive, accessible puzzler. At world 5 of the "story mode" there's a bit of a difficulty spike that killed my enjoyment, but there's still a ton of content here and the game is worth a purchase for anyone with a passing interest.
I don't know what to say for this game except its CRIMINAL price of 23e!!! Even on 80% price it costs 4,36e and still not better than any PopCap puzzle game.
Instead, buy PopCap bundle for the same price as this ONE and enjoy playing the best casual game BUNDLE!
Tumblestone is a simple yet refreshing action-puzzle game. It's very thrilling against other players, and it will make your heart beats fast when you're close to winning. I love that contrary to other action-puzzle games, the goal is to find a solution to a problem rather than to make combinations / survive the longest (such as in Tetris, Dr Mario, Panel de Pon and the likes).
There's so much solo content too, so that you're never bored if you're alone! There's a storyline that provides a nice variety of challenges, 3 exciting arcade modes and quests (or missions, achievements) to complete. There all based on the same basic concept, but they twist the concept around enough to keep you interested.
If you're not interested in the solo content at all and only wants this game for the multiplayer part, it's a bit pricey then, and I'm not sure it's worth it. But give the solo modes a chance, and I'm sure you'll come back to it again and again!
Solving puzzles consists of determining a way of clearing blocks in the correct order. This isn't a matter of searching for longer matches amongst a sea of options, just figuring out the right order to remove blocks - it's not using the same mechanic as other match 3 games, and it's not employing the same skills. I didn't enjoy it, for whatever that's worth.
I've long lamented the lack of new quality battle puzzle games in the vein of Tetris Attack and Meteos. Tumblestone's multiplayer mode is the first thing to scratch that itch for me since Planet Puzzle League came out on the DS all the way back in 2007.
The game overall involves several stacks of colored stones (tumblestones) at the top of the screen and you need to "shoot" (for lack of a better word) 3 of the same-colored tumblestone in a row to clear them. You only have access to the first row of tumblestones so you need to avoid getting into a situation where you cannot get at three tumblestones of the same color. In multiplayer you have three modes. Puzzle Race involves up to four players trying to be the first to clear an identical board of tumblestones. If you get into a state where you cannot continue clearing the board, you need to reset and start again. In Battle the tumblestones slowly move downward. If the tumblestones hit the bottom, you are eliminated. If you find yourself in a state where you cannot get to three same-colored tumblestones in a row, you have no choice byt to make a "bad move" (where you shoot a tumblestone followed by a different-colored tumblestone) which causes the tumblestones to shift downwards several rows instantly. The goal is to be the last surviving player. Tug of War seems pretty similar to Puzzle Race, but involves multiple sections of smaller puzzles. There are also a variety of modifiers available for each mode that I haven't gotten the chance to play with yet. All of the modes require the player to balance speed with trying to plan ahead. Battle in particular is very compelling and evokes a similar feeling to other classic battle puzzle games while also providing a pretty refreshing take on a match-3 puzzle game.
I should point out that for $9.99 you get only the multiplayer component. For an extra $14.99 you get a full single player campaign (you can upgrade at any time). If you're interested in the game primarily as a battle puzzle game, you should know that the campaign is not a series matches against bots like it is in some puzzle games, but is instead a series of predetermined puzzle boards for you to solve. I'm finding this pretty fun as well, but obviously it's a very different feel from the multiplayer mode. If it doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then you should stick to the base $9.99 multiplayer package.
Tetris, Lumines, Meteos, Puzzle Strike, Tumblestone
All time classic action puzzler!
Tumblestone perfects, what it does!
I don´t know, why almost no professional website did a review.
I don´t know, why there is no (time limited) demo.
Both would show, that the price of this masterpiece is more than justified!
You only realize the full potential and quality after playing it for a few minutes.
Couldn´t recommend it more, Tumblestone really is one of the best single player and competitive games of this genre.
