I was excited about this game..... a decade+ ago! It's super early access so not much here - but it had promise, I was looking forward to the urban weird horror - but it's been long abandoned and honestly at this point Steam should remove it or make it FREE since it's basically a long abandoned demo.
I would not recommend getting this even if it was free.
Cannot get myself to play this trash any further.
There is no save feature or even checkpoint save.
Died and the game spawned me in some random location and if that was not aggravating for some reason the mouse look became buggy where it looks up into the ceiling and spins around (nothing fixes this by the way so you are stuck like an headless chicken running around in circles).
At some point I went right through the game world just falling until the end of time.
Another thing that I was wondering about is if the monsters actually can kill you because 80% they T-post and do nothing (such an shame).
0/10
Stay away from this low budget B-grade broken horror movie.
8 years in early access folks. 8 years. Tried this game back in '14, thought it was kinda spooky but didn't get past the first area. Tried it again today, ***8*** years later looking for what changed. Nothing changed. I fell through the map with some poking around. That's what changed. The post-Amnesia indie horror boom sure disappointed ultimately, didn't it?
Save your money. This 'game' isn't worth it. Starts out slow, gets slower...
Much walking around doing nothing but looking around. Ups and downs...
Ending is weird (when one gets to the ending...).
Ain.t much happen'in here...save your money for something decent.
I have no idea what this game is. walk off the path they want you to take fall through map load checkpoint spin until you throw up. Not a good or even really playable game avoid like the plague.
Started off promising, but its been 4 years now in Early Access, with almost no updates. The last update was nearly 12 months ago. Interesting concept, and I enjoy the setting and the creators ability to craft suspense, but the game appears to be abandoned.
This game is full of broken abandoned junk. Wait, I mean the game itself is broken, abandoned junk. Should not be available for purchase in the Steam store. Seriously, when is Valve going to clean house and get these incomplete pieces of garbage off the shelves? Oh, that's right...never. For shame...
I've played this game from the beginning. It looked promising but its unfinished and now abandoned. It should just be turned into a free to play game now.
This is a good game but has been in development for almost 3 years now. I followed the link for the website and it looks like the devs have taken the money and ran on this one. Its a shame really. This game had so much potential. This is the exact reason that I no longer purchase "Early Access" games.
I have to have the most playtime in this game of anyone. For 11 hours, I have searched how to beat this game and have kept coming back to figure it out.
In 2022, 8 years after it "released", I have figured it out. There is very little documentation on the internet about this game, and so if you were stuck, you were stuck. I've posted a walkthrough on the discussion forums.
To the review:
I give this game a 1/5. It is covered with bugs. It has been in early access for years, which tells you all that you need. You can fall through the map at a lot of points and have to restart. There are points in the map where if you die, you get stuck in a loop where you can't do anything and must restart the game. A lot of the puzzles make no sense. There is no coherent and connected story to this game. It seems to be trying to display a dystopic world, but does the bare minimum to explain this. There is no explanation on what the "zombie enemies" represent. When they get close to you they fuzz your screen like a nicer slenderman. With no messages from the developers in 6 years this game will never be completed.
If you looked at the trailer on youtube, you would have seen a variety of different levels. Not all of these are present in the game, and one of them is only as what seems to be an extra map after you "beat" the game. Messages in the discussions from the devs said that they have hidden these sections until they are polished more, but I doubt they will ever put them back.
The game is unfinished and not worth paying anything.
It was never a pretty game, but it had promise. The style and the feel were right up my alley. But the devs have thoroughly disappointed me. Even excited players who still want the game get no response from the devs on the forums. Their last 'news' post on the game was from last year. The last update on their Facebook page was from a couple weeks ago, and it was about a local music show. Their last update about *the game* was 3 months ago. It appeared to be basic character animations that weren't even actually implemented in the game yet. A lot of them sucked.
I was somebody who was really excited about this game when it first went into Early Access. I told other people about it and got a friend of mine to play because it seemed like such a cool title, that was different from most of the other horror games out there. But it's been fucking abandoned - and they attempt, ever so slightly, to make it look like it's not, by making vague posts with NO real information. Middle of last year, they said that they were making TONS of progress, that everything was going swimmingly - and what did their video update from 3 months ago have to show? Crap character models running and falling down on flat untextured surfaces. Another crap character model sitting down in a way that looks fake as all hell. Oh, and COINS falling. COINS! Coins which take all of 5 minutes to make. THIS is what they have to show after two years! Not even a ten second pre-rendered cut-scene with a character or two doing something IN the game. Just a few individual models running like morons to Benny Hill music.
Don't buy this shit unless they get their act together and finish the fucking game. Otherwise, you're probably getting ripped off like the rest of us who have bought it.
This game has been in Early Access for too long, devs don't seem to be implementing any new changes anytime soon. Very disappointing. FeelsBadMan.
Visually impressive, though I'm kind of bugged they don't update the game as often as promised. Cautious thumbs down for now, to give it a shove in the right direction, I guess?
toooo many bugggs. Montas is very atmospheric and creepy and has a lot of set up moment all over the place that you dont always see coming, which is great for a scary game. BUT waaay too many bug that require full restarts of the game and your save file as well, as a lot of things get stuck and broken. Needs more work, i dont suggest buyin, unless you like falling through the floor and redoing things over and over.
I can't beleive this game has any good reviews. WARNING CHAIRS AND TRASH CANS MOVE ON THEIR OWN!
Cons:
1. Glitchy. Can fall into the world and never stop falling. Glitchy textures. Creatures AI's are glitchy and were walking into walls.
2. Horrible walking. To make any progress in this game you'll need to hold the shift key down at all times.
3. Very little scares to be offered and lack luster when they do happen.
4. No updates in over a year and no signs of improvement.
5. Notice in the youtube trailer people are getting scared of nothing because that is what happens in the game.
Pros:
1.It looks nice besides some glitchy textures and could be scary if someone was still working on it.
2. Scares are random at certain points.
where do i begin? i know its an early acess game but its glitchy as fuck. once you die you spawn in random places. i broke the game not even 10 minutes into it (some fat guy with a dark-skinned face, white body, and legs that appear to belong to a child randomly appeared which is most likely the scariest thing i will ever encounter in the game) the "monsters" are basiclly just a person with a black trash bag over their head. im not kidding when i tell you this: you can literally stop him by holding a trash bag in front of him then he tries to grab you and just falls to the ground and acts "dead" then he gets back up and tries to get you again. all in all its a great game if you love dicking around with the monsters and what-not. don't waste your money.
Well I've put some time into this game, and I understand it's early access, so I've tried to temper my expectations a bit. Pros: Great ambience, and suspense. Cons: Playability is tedious, I feel corraled and guided in ditections. Exploration leads to mostly dead ends. Not enough backstory, or point to the game. Not enough items or interactions with items.
Advice would be to put some form of crosshairs to aid in interactions with items, put more items, more backstory, don't seal areas off leaving only one path. Having played from the begining several times and having had a good amount of game expereinece, I find the initial challenge frustrating afte the frist elevator ride down so odd and difficult that I suspect their is no sollution other than to die. The second challenge once you get ouf of the white room again seems the only way to progress is again to die.
All in all I'm dissapointed in the game because I think you have something here, but find it mostly tedious and the time I spent playing up to this point, was time wasted. Perhaps it's just not my type of game.
I think any person who was in a situation like that would find any kind of a weapon for defense, and if I wanted answers out of those locked offices I'd break those windows and get into them. I'd read the crumpled papers on the floor and in trash, move pictures to find anything behind them, and certainly a light switch lol in an office area.
I hope the game improves becuase like I said you've got something there, but it's very time consuming and frustrating.
EDIT: November 19
Though the game is early access, it's really worth buying.
PROS
-Dynamic atmosphere. Especially when you set the game to top notch settings. If you have Oculus Rift, terrifying terrific.
-Great ambience. Sometimes the music and the sounds get me instead. Imagine going down a corridor and constantly hearing "Someone's here. Leave." whispered to your ears. Get a good pair of headphones!
-Very immersive. There's a whole town waiting to be explored. I haven't mentioned the sewer system, have I?
-Scary. Yes, scary. About the game's horror-o-meter, besides only a few cheap scares, there are elevators, hallways, and illuminating corners. Plus, as I mentioned the sound effect is enough to bring you a good horrifying experience. There are enemies, too. The cool thing is that there's little time for you to react when seeing enemies, and they usually appear out of nowhere. Test your guts, and your mind.
CONS
-The game is still in the testing phase. That gives it bugs like frame drops. Frame drops are significantly reduced as of update #7.
-Light effects are not as good. Sometimes, as you go around corners, the lights go out. This is more of a minor annoyance, really.
-Enemies are not too smart. Just run like hell away from them and you'll be fine. I really expected something more challenging.
-The character moves at a snail pace.
-It's pretty difficult to move things around.
-Inventory system is still incomplete.
-Some market-sold computers might not be able to handle the graphics. I test the game on Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Intel Core i7 2.00GHz processor, which runs smoothly but gets choppy in certain highly-detailed and illuminated areas.
Overall: 8.5 out of 10. You'll just have to see for yourself.
Short Version:
Great game! :3 really scary even as a beta. can't wait for full release of the game! the atmosphere gives you the chills. x.x
Long Version:
This game is a mystery within a mystery. You have no idea what you're doing, you follow your instinct. Normally, this would be a bad thing, however the way they give you all the choises of where you can go, it makes you feel free from the story and that you can do whatever you want. When you finally get to a place where you were supposed to get to, you're like......wow, too bad i didn't explore more, OH WAIT i can always just go back and check the things out that i missed! :D. This game requires you to spend time in it, and to explore every single corner of the game. Also, not to mention that this game will give you a heart attack without using the ultimate power of pop ups. The sound in the game is enough to make you want to press escape and instantly just want to click that exit game button as soon as possible. The effects can really just start taking over and you just feel in danger and like you should run 4 ur lyf. There was literaly where i was pushed to a point where i just pressed Alt+F4 because of a scary noise that kept going louder and louder.
Some Fun/Funny Times I Had:
Alright....soooooo..without giving any spoilers here, i got out of some sewers and i decided HEY LET'S PICK UP A TRASH-CAN AND PUSH IT AGAINST THE MONSTERS FACE THE WHOLE TIME TO DODGE IT :D, without expecting it to work ofcourse, i tried it and it worked, so it kept walking into the trashcan, and i was like AH! D: and held the trashcan up a bit higher, then he was stuck underneath the trashcan and i slammed the trashcan down, and poof, i murdered a monster (and by that i pushed him to glitch completely into the ground). My reaction: O.O ...... wut did i just do....
I would give this game a 8/10 for being fun and enforcing exploration, not to mention keeping it's horror gamestyle. I can't give it a 10/10 considering it's still in beta, however the score might go up once the game is fully released. Worth every penny.
Great game! still in early alpha but it's already doing horror better than most horror games out there, each update makes the game way better, (which by the way they update the game every friday) and the atmosphere is perfect! great sound effects and definetly worth a try to help the devs! i have a series im doing on youtube on it if you want to check me out!

Great game, it may be in early access and semi glitchy but its great, the music is great, the atmosphere is amazing, so far not really many scares but it is a VERY creepy game that builds up suspense and im honestly not sure if that suspense is going to lead to something greater! i think it will, i recommend buying this game, its 10 dollars and the more people that support it the better the game will get. i have a series im doing on youtube if anyone wants to watch to see if they like it, my name on youtube is cubansandwichxd i have the series there, but yes, great game i cant wait till they complete it.
