Infectonator: Survivors is all about surviving in a world where everything tries to kill you. The game is hard and unforgiving. You will have to make hard decisions. Characters will die and missions will fail.

"Infectonator : Survivors" is a Randomized Permadeath Survival Simulator that combines RTS, Tower Defense, Roguelike, and Management-Simulation gameplay. Your goal is to lead a group of survivors in a struggle to stay alive and find rescue in a zombie apocalyptic world. You must scavenge resources, build defenses, and find a way to survive in a game where death is permanent and levels are randomly generated.

I could recommend it on sale for fans of Zombies, roguelikes, and RTS. It had some rough edges and a learning curve but a good amount of content and a rewarding feeling if you want to spend the time it takes to progress. If you like turn-based games I would also suggest Dead Age.

Horrible and slow. Garbage controls on steamdeck. If it's free maybe add to library. Stay away if a penny or more.
The game is loads of fun & enjoy it completely but I cannot recommend it as it is not playable as it crashes & force closes guaranteed within a short time, instantly, or in a hour of gameplay. There is currently no reported fix to make it playable & it has been officially abandoned, so honestly in its state it should be free.

This game truly is getting undeserved hate and I dislike how the developers just...forgot it.
Infectonator is an enjoyable game, amazing pixel art with a bunch of unique scenarios and characters that are made by Toge can be found on rescue quests in expeditions which you should be quick for of course, you can do alot of things while exploring that you can either loot everything there is and run or stay there to genocide any zombies if planning for any further travelling with the same route you were at the expedition with a fun tower defense like scouting to see the danger status of that place you're about to explore.
Some zombies may be too overpowered which may not be good if there haven't been alot of progress especially when you might have pistols only, you could say the repetitiveness is kind of alright since it's a replayable game anyway which is kind of nice because if it weren't to be randomised we would be doing the same thing over and over and it'd be excessively boring.
Overall it's a decent game. There's one progress-defying bug which is if you already explored an area then went to the merchant to retrieve their package from their dying courier and is marked on the same place you explored, you can find the dying courier which is supposed to have an exclamation mark and if you don't find it above them...yeah consider it game over for you and use up all your days.
Tip: Always use the scientist for searching, especially when he's the fastest at searching and has a bigger chance of finding items that can be used for the workshop ^^
