Guilty Gear Isuka introduces the brand new mechanic of cooperative gameplay to the tried and true fighting madness of the Guilty Gear XX series. With support for up to four local players (either on teams or as lone wolves), Guilty Gear has never seen more hectic action.
Key Features
- A Cast of Misfits - The colorful characters of Guilty Gear XX #Reload return for an encore, and are joined by newcomers A.B.A and Robo-Ky Mk. II! On top of the 23 characters available by default, who knows if there are even more waiting to be uncovered...
- Beat-Em-Up Action - Isuka goes from fighter to brawler when you dive into GG Boost Mode. Punch/kick/cut/grapple your way through waves of formidable opponents, and feel free to invite a friend to help; two-player co-op can give you that extra edge you need.
- Make an Abomination - Newcomer Robo-Ky Mk. II can be retrofitted with the moves of other characters, making him the ultimate doppelganger. Brutal command grabs, a projectile or two, almost nothing is verboten when it comes to the murderous art of imitation.
- Beautiful Characters and Environments - From the tiniest bounty hunter to the largest brute, from sunny beaches to moonlit cemetaries, Guilty Gear Isuka's sprite art oozes character.
- Jaw-Dropping Heavy Metal Soundtrack - From the mind and frets of Guilty Gear creator Daisuke Ishiwatari comes some of the most intense rock you'll ever roman cancel to. Buyers of Guilty Gear Isuka on Steam will receive a digital copy of the Official Soundtrack for free!

It’s just so peak
Although the "normal" 4-player mode isn't the greatest, the "GGBOOST" or beat 'em up mode is extremely fun. Beating up groups of enemies with supers is really fun, especially with moves like tyrant rave and robo ky's punch super. The highlight though is ofc the RKII factory mode. Like the description of this game says, you can create an unbalanced nightmare in this game. Though, I only customize my robo ky to optimize him for the beat 'em up mode. The way Robo-Ky gains meter in this game is absurd compared to +r. Instead of only gaining 3 "chunks" of meter, robo gains five, which basically means that you can spam supers with robo. Which is really fun when you have ten enemies caught in the storm. I wouldn't play this game at its regular price, but when it's on sale you definitely should get it, as it's a great solo player experience for those that like Guilty Gear and other games like it. Though, as I mentioned, the other gamemode isn't very well made. I mostly blame the lanes they introduced. It's hard to tell when you can actually hit your enemy or not if they aren't in your lane. And with four fighting game characters' flashy moves all going at once, it can be hard to pick out your character from all the visual noise. It's not good for 1v1 because it has a turn button, and it's not good for four-player because of the lanes *and* the turn button. It's unfortunate they didn't include a "regular" gamemode that's more akin to other Guilty Gears, since I imagine playing Robo-Ky mk II would be really fun if you could do that. All in all, this is a good experience for what it's listed at, though I would definitely wait for it to go on sale, since it does pretty often anyway.
good game, but the new ones is much better, in graphics and playability
Leopaldon is the best character in all media of all time. We need Leopaldon in Guilty Gear Strive.
GUILTY GEAR!!!
If you're seriously looking for the essential 2D Guilty Gear, go look for Accent Core Plus R which is the most up to date and realised version of the Guilty Gear XX series. GG Isuka here is instead a rather strange spinoff with a focus on 4 player action.
To manage the chaos of 4 character running around, GGI uses a two-lane system and a button DEDICATED TO TURNING YOUR CHARACTER AROUND. This makes the game even weirder to play and you can basically forget playing as normal. Otherwise, it has the GGXX cast (plus first-timer ABA and the boss Leopaldon), exclusive stages and a banger soundtrack. There's also a "Boost mode" where you take your fav character and trash enemies like in Streets of Rage; its fun but repetitive.
The game is fun for what it is: a janky and chaotic experiment not to be taken too seriously. If that's what you're looking for, then give it a try!
The bad news: the steam release is a straight port of the PS2 version and it has trouble recognising and remapping controllers. Changing display modes is also a "let's pray it doesn't crash" thing.
God I WISH I was ABA in the cover art.
