My adolescence T.T I spent so many hours on it; I loved it then and I love it now. I'm glad I found this again ^-^

What to say,what to say...
This game was a mixed feeling giving one.Having played the EBF series out of order,diving into this game right after the 5th installment instead of the 3rd was a mistake.The start felt rushed and mixed,introducing all the characters back too quickly with I guess some laziness.To me,it was quite difficult to adjust to both the EBF5 menu layout and equipment system and to the EBF3 MP system.BUT
Mechanics aside,this game has a wonderful,if somewhere lacking story.The first encounter with the final boss threw me off and as I continued on,the suspense of eventually facing it was ever present on my back,The boss designs were a nice addition to the story,fitting into their respective locations quite well.The most beautiful thing I have to point out was the music.It,while being simple.brought me to another realm of existence as I played through.
All in all.I'd give this a solid 7/10,if not 8/10
Thank you,Matt,for creating such a wonderful RPG series,I will definitely miss it.Finishing the series left me feeling empty,yet satisfied.It was sure a blast to finally complete the last game

One of my favorites as as a kid. I never realized how uh, "gamer" the humor is, but it's a really solid built game with charming graphics, and a really well done power creep system. I actually finished this game as a kid, and I never finished games. So there you go.

This game... don't let the stats on here fool you, I played this game all the way back in middle school. had 100s of hours in the game on Kongregate, had the battle mountain upgrade after I begged my mom for the money to get it, and I just kept replaying it over and over to try new builds and challenge myself. Absolutely recommend this game for anyone who likes the older style of Turn Based RPGs.

The perfect game to play,if you don't want to pay you can even play the flash version with limited features.
Definitely money for your buck.

Great, fun game. One of my top 10 favorite turn based rpgs, solves many of my problems with the genre, and great music too. Played the free version so many times as a kid, and I still love it now.

I fully completed this game with all achievements twice and I have regret neither instance of it. This is one of the best turn based RPG games and it's right up my alley in terms of gameplay. the peakest of turn based games. Well, almost. Paper Mario TTYD and EBF5 outclass it. Makes sense, EBF5 is the sequel. Still I'd recommend you give this a try if you liked EBF3 or 5.

i've got some nostalgia glasses on but this is still such a fun game to play, even if it's a decade old now

the art is cute, the characters are memorable, the dialogue is nice (if a bit dated), and the challenges and difficulty are well managed. and ofc the soundtrack by phyrnna will forever live in my head. this is the first roszak game i played and it spoiled me so much that i couldn't go back to play 3 lmao

Basically FF if all the characters were silly/funny. Even though the game is silly it can get difficult at points.

Its a good game

I absolutely adored this game, the characters are fun if not incredibly telling of the time that they were made in, and the gameplay is all I could ask for from a flash game trying to be a large RPG it's beyond worth the price for everything inside of the game.

It took me around 35ish hours to complete a save file, 100% completion is a bit more complicated, which again for the price is amazing. I usually enjoy playing games very slowly so take that how you will on pacing.

I've seen some call the final boss overwhelming.

Very fun game. Bought this in xmas 2024 sale. Now the sale is over because it went to 2025.
But recommend this on sale.

Found out about the ebf series on Kongregate back in the old flash days, and I come back to the series every now and then and it still has that epic (pun intended) re-playability.

I highly recommend this game and the others 1-5 and play on epic difficulty, as it gives the most out of the game.

While the dialogue and story are not stellar, it feels like this was made by someone because it was the game they wanted to play. There is challenging combat, secrets, loot, upgrades, tons of unique enemies/bosses, and an incredibly solid turn based foundation. If you can look past some cringe, I can't recommend this enough.

still just a good rpg all these years later! i hadn't ever *finished* an epic battle fantasy game until this year, but had probably played through 1-4 at least 3 times each up to the halfway point, never had the steam to finish them (which is understandable since it's a large-scale RPG that requires brainpower & time and i was a child).

has a couple dated things but surprisingly a lot fewer dated things than you would expect for something that's the product of like 2010-2014 newgrounds. i would still describe it as a bit of a guilty pleasure, though. this is what i do instead of drinking

if you are not sure if you would like EBF4, try the flash version up to the first boss or so. the steam version has a lot of worthwhile extra content and it feels unjust playing something with this much passion put into it without paying a dime for it, so i would wholly recommend it

I love this game. I've had it for 10 years now and enjoyed it each time I played it. However with the new version 3 update the slime that takes you to Battle Mountain is no longer there for me so I have to stick with version 2 which is a bummer. Still love the game.

Absolute banger of a game imo. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but it has a silly charm to it that makes it a fun comfort game. It builds off of what EBF3 was, and adds some new mechanics. I love the addition of Anna as a character, and I love seeing the characters riff off of each other.

Amazing RPG, good humour and cool mechanics

Been a fan of the series since I was like 10 and I'm 28 now. Let me tell you this game was a premium flash game back in the kongragate days and newgrounds era. The jokes are from the era and you can tell the creator spent time on 4chan, 9gag, and newgrounds for a min. Glad He's still making games and finally getting love on steam. If you love JRPGS and turnbased combat hop in and definitely try EBF5 it adds more customization on difficulty settings.

100%-ed.
Worth the price (ofc thanks to turn based fest).
Much harder than EBF3.
Has more contents and is more well-polished than flash version.
Definitely recommend getting the game.

A nice continuation from Epic Battle Fantasy 3. It retains the same style and vibe, while adding some new mechanics along with the familiar ones from the previous game. I really enjoyed collecting all the medals, and found some of them quite challenging.

Overall, if you enjoyed Epic Battle Fantasy 3, you'll definitely enjoy this one too.

After 100% everything and getting all of the achievements. I have to say GRAB THIS GAME!!!
This being the 4th game in the series it improves upon and adds so more compared to the 3rd game.

More quests, more areas, new party member, more skills like MORE EVERYTHING!! If you liked the 3rd game and want more then this game has you covered!!
