Work your way through 30 campaign levels of increasing difficulty using the huge arsenal of new and classic weapons at your disposal. Use new vehicles to cause chaos amongst the enemy ranks and use buildings to gain the tactical advantage as you try to dominate the battlefield!
Take on up to five opponents in hilarious all-out tactical worm warfare with up to eight worms each, either in local or online multiplayer, including ranked play. Flatten your opponents with the Concrete Donkey. Turn them into chunks of worm meat with the Holy Hand Grenade. Rain down hell from above in helicopters or pound them into oblivion with the tank. Verdict:
I found Worms W.M.D. to be a delightful mix of classic (like Armageddon) and new features. It has the usual funny comments and the new crafting and vehicle mechanics added a fresh twist to the formula. It has different gameplay modes and improved graphics. All in all, it is a fun game to play against friends, recommended.

I used to love the older Worms games. This reminds me so much of them. Super fun to play and easy controls too!
Hard to believe it's been 9 years already from the last great Worms experience (Rumble was a mistake). If you're a fan of Armageddon/Reloaded/World Party you owe it to yourself to check this one out. Cool new additions to the classic formula like vehicles, pleasant artstyle, plenty of campaign/challenge missions to master, great variety of weapons and that specific humour, it's all here. It's actually a bit surprising how well this game is after pretty bad Revolution/Clan Wars/Battlegrounds era. So yeah, WMD is pretty much a diamond shining between two bad franchise periods, it's puzzling that Team 17 didn't iterate on it and instead for almost a decade only came up with a failed experiment (plus Armageddon remaster for consoles).

this was the best worms I've ever played just because of forts PvP . Team 17 should consider a forts only worms. I put countless hours into it on my old account . I loved everything about this game, its a shame hardly anyone knows about this gem. Every time I've tried to get a random fort game going in the last couple years nobody ever joins. The campaign on this one was great also. those worms are pretty smart.Even if you guys never make a new worms game I still love you guys for all the good memories I had with this one and my friends back then Team 17 <3
It's moderately good. Maybe it's even a 2nd or a 3rd best Worms game. However, it's still lacks a lot of, a lot of things compared to good old WA. Physics engine is near as good as it was 26 years ago and many skill based mechanics were cut for some reason? The devs either didn't care to actually implement them, or they did it for the sake of brainless gameplay that the modern audience would be more likely to enjoy. New vehicle system is unbalanced as it could be and literally everyone in MP just abuses them, because they give an unfair amount of advantage (I absolutely cannot comprehend how could someone test it and say "Yeah, it's good").
Also no custom soundbanks support as of 2025, I guess Team17 were busy making that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle royale no one asked for.
If you want the true "Worms experience", I strongly advice you to buy Worms Armageddon. It's still getting updates from time to time and still work amazingly on modern systems.

WWorms is basically the most fun multiplayer game series in history (no hyperbole) and wwhile WW.M.D lacks many wweapons from prior games that i personally wwish wwere in it, i wwould probably consider it the best WWorms game on avverage for wwhat it adds
It's good but too slow, can't recommend. No way to speed up animations and skip a lot of things. If the gameplay was more snappy like older Worms titles it would be fine.
A game with chaotic multiplayer mayhem. Worms WMD is a blast! Make a team, grab a couple of buddies both local or online and watch as you each take turns trying to blow each other up, asking how the hell did I miss that or what just happened? 2D destruction, worms using sheep bombs and holy hand grenades, a strange but lovable concept. Worms has been and always will be one of the perfect games to play with others

Love it. Super addictive and fun. A big improvement over Worms Armageddon.
The only thing I don't like is how the AI player spends the first 15 seconds of its turn sitting around doing nothing, as if it's "thinking" about what to do next. I mean come on. We know you're an AI. I guess the idea is that it's trying to simulate "realism?" Not what anyone asked for but ok. In fact I miss the laser-guided determination and lightning-fast judgement of the original AI on the snes back in the day.
Oh, and the game can be a liiiiittle, um, racially insensitive at times (lol), so try not to take anything too seriously if that kind of stuff rubs you the wrong way.

As an avid player of Worms Forts on my phone back in 2008, great to play a worms title again. I keep switching between this and Armageddon. Both are fantastic!

As a big fan of previous Worms games, this feels really unintuitive. The team responsible for the layout of the controls deserve a bazooka to the face.
Keeping true to both the irreverent goofy charm and strategically chaotic game play that the series is known for, "Worms W.M.D" is a really fun entry in the series that, with its plethora of customization options, different game modes and wide variety of maps, can be thoroughly enjoyed in both single-player and multiplayer. (8/10).
Absolutely my favourite kind of game. Much better on a big screen than a phone though.
Do not buy for os x. The keyboard input does not work in game. I wanted to play with my son (Win11) this game does not even work in single-player mode
This is by default the best version of Worms for Mac because it's the only version that runs on a current version of Mac OS.
Note, the controls will be unresponsive in games until you turn off VSYNC and play in windowed mode.

Luv it. The controls at the start are a bit funky, but its still a classic game to play.
It's a silly little worm game about killing your friends and crafting crazy weapons. What's not to love? The controls. That's what's not to love. They're weird. But you get used to it.
