The first hi-res 2D fighter from the creators of the Guilty Gear series! BlazBlue is a traditional 2D fighter where two characters participate in a duel. The story of the game involves dissent and destruction among a powerful council, known unofficially as "the Library," which controls a great power that once saved humanity, but which now wields its power in protective, some say repressive, ways.
A round is called a "rebel" and one match can consist of one to five "rebels". To win a round, one player must either incapacitate the other by inflicting damage through various attacks to reduce their opponent's health to zero or by having more remaining health than their opponent after the clock runs out. Every character has a weak, medium and strong attack. Also every ones has a "unique" technique, called a Drive attack, which is different for each character.

This game is lacking squirrels, and the colour orange.
It makes me sad.
Bugs aside, the artstyle, abilities, characters, stages and story and sheer badassery of this game are amazing. It's so over the top and anime and it's the coolest fucking thing I love it.
Very fun fighting game with a small, but memorable roster. The maps look nice and there is plenty of story and world building. Characters have a lot of moves and each one is fun to learn. One downside is there is a semi-frequent glitch that slows the frames down to an unplayable rate. Only fix (I know of) is to restart your PC. Can be quite annoying. Also, this is a single player game. If you want to play against friends sit this one out.
I'm calamitying my trigger to this
I enjoyed playing as Noel Vermillion in this game, I would love to continue playing this along with my other Blazblue collection but this version will not start. it keeps closing itself, other people has had this problem suddenly along with the other old products following the Blazblue series. and has tried to find solutions but currently writing this there is none. Please fix this for the loyal customers who love playing and experiencing the Blazblue world from start to present. And also because its bad practice for this to still be on store if customers buy but receive nothing back. its plain scam for customers to buy this game to play, but you can't actually play it.
30 fps is cringe and makes even airdashing inconsistent

Great fighting game, the graphics looks good, like hi-res pixel art, the backgrounds are low-mid poly 3D environments, the character desings are good, all the game got that anime-kinda style, the music is good, the animations are good, it has arcade mode, story mode, and also versus mode, the controls are not like street fighter, neither king of fighters, here are more like guilty gear were you have light, medium, high and also special attack, this can be some times punch, some times kick and some times weapon, depends on the character, but no separate punchs and kicks like SF or KOF. it doesn't have achievements but still is a good fighting game.

So all in all I think that BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a really good time and I feel set a high bar for fighting games that followed. The story quality and game flow are still among the best I’ve seen in fighting games. While it does have some issues due to it’s age it is a solid experience/

kusoge 1v1 2d arcade fighting game. somebody please tell me how hakumen is BAD when he keeps beating my ass against me, a noel player (spoiler alert: skill issue)
Classic 2D fighter with good waifus.
This is port is very bad. I have to actually restart my computer just to get the normal 60 FPS because apparently, the game is stuck at 30 FPS at default which cannot be even toggled in-game which is dumb.
Also when I need to minimize the game, the game assets disappears at times.
