Дебютная, но уже отмеченная наградами приключенческая игра от создателей Deponia и Тhe Whispered World теперь доступна на Steam. Составьте компанию юной Эдне и ее говорящему плюшевому кролику Харви в отчаянной попытке бегства из палаты, обитой войлоком. Вы переживете невероятное путешествие по дому для умалишенных и сможете даже покинуть его кирпичные стены.Однажды юная Эдна просыпается в палате, обитой войлоком, посреди сумасшедшего дома, не помня ничего о своем прошлом. Она не представляет, как ее сюда занесло, но единственное, в чем она уверена — нужно немедленно покинуть это место! В конце концов, она чувствует себя в здравом уме — и ее говорящий плюшевый кролик Харви с этим совершенно согласен. Вместе они стремятся сбежать и, увлеченные этим, встречают своих чокнутых приятелей-пациентов — от мужчины в костюме пчелы и до псевдосиамских близнецов Хоти и Моти. Однако доктор Марсел, главный врач приюта, не остановится ни перед чем, чтобы остановить Эдну. Что он готовит для нее? И почему стерта ее память? Edna & Harvey: The Breakout plunges you into the eccentric world of Edna, a young woman who wakes up in a padded cell with no memory, alongside her chatty stuffed bunny, Harvey. This point-and-click adventure is brimming with humor as Edna devises an elaborate plan to escape the asylum.
The game doesn’t shy away from the realities of mental health facilities, presenting a quirky cast with various conditions. But it’s the humor that stands out—balancing absurdity and slapstick without trivializing the seriousness of mental illness. These eccentric characters are still portrayed as real people facing challenges.
For fans of the original, the Anniversary Edition offers refreshed visuals, with sharper, more vibrant hand-drawn environments and character sprites that breathe new life into this quirky world. Achievement hunters will find a fun list to chase, from escaping the asylum to more offbeat tasks like putting ketchup in inappropriate places.
This adventure is a wild, thought-provoking ride, filled with memorable characters, clever puzzles, and a generous dose of dark humor. While I enjoyed the Deponia series, Edna & Harvey resonated with me more—it’s grounded yet bizarre, making Edna’s journey deeply engaging. Even if the art style might remind you of a patient’s doodles, the game proves that laughter really is the best medicine, with a talking bunny as a close second.
Really enjoyed this one - a bunch of hidden details and easter eggs to discover.
Sometimes kinda hard to realise what to do, but maybe that's because of me beeing so new to this genre of games.
Fortunately my best friend backseated for my entire playthrough.
So I was never stuck for too long if I didn't know what to do, but also found out a bunch of things on my own.
