Control the various stations that run your ship. Reroute power between ship systems, operate turrets, run powerful programs, scan enemy vessels for information to give you an edge in battle, or start up the warp drive to escape a fight you cannot win. The strategies you use are up to you—or your Captain.

Embark on missions, investigate abandoned stations, and scavenge for components that could aid you in your voyage. Teleport down to the surfaces of planets where you may face extreme environments and dangerous creatures. Trek across the galaxy, and discover what lies on its fringes.

- Online co-op multiplayer (1 - 5 players)
- Offline / singleplayer mode
- Customizable AI crew bots in online and offline mode
- Five unique classes; everyone plays a role on the ship
- Fast-paced and tactical ship-to-ship space combat
- Teleport to other ships, planets or stations to join the away team
- Loot planets and stations for valuable items
- Board enemy ships to capture them or destroy their systems
- VR mode (with motion controller support)

The Captain
Nearly every major decision of a voyage falls into the Captain’s hands. With clear communication and resolve, the Captain must be the link that coordinates the actions of the entire crew. As the Captain determines the route the crew will take—through both the galaxy itself and the hard choices they encounter—success is more often than not a reflection of his or her leadership. The Pilot
The Pilot is responsible for flying the ship and navigating across sectors of space. Through management of different flight controls, a Pilot must maneuver the ship through debris, position it effectively during combat, and align it to the next sector for warp. Despite various flight styles in the field, most Pilots become one with their ships and make them extensions of themselves. The Scientist
Scientists provide the crew with medical assistance and information about their current environment. As they possess superior technological prowess, Scientists have the responsibility of overseeing sensor sweeps, ship security, the breaching of enemy firewalls, and research. Furthermore, their skills are invaluable when developing strategies or exploring alien planets. The Weapons Specialist
Guns, turrets, nukes—the Weapons Specialist manages them all. Operating lasers, missiles and any other combat related technologies, Weapons Specialists have the greatest direct impact in battle, and their aim can greatly sway the outcome of a fight. Apart from ship-to-ship combat, Weapons Specialists are also crucial in ship boarding and investigations of hostile environments. The Engineer
The Engineer keeps the ship running. In addition to charging the warp drive and manning the startup switchboard, Engineers must continually maintain and repair vital ship systems, as well as control ship power flow to prevent overheating. Engineers make the most out of a reactor’s capabilities and balance power allocation for the greatest possible output.Поддерживаемые языки: english

This is a very original game. They did a great job with it. Lots of cooperation needed to fly a big ship. Fun stuff.
game is goated would recommend to everyone.
Fun with friends and I like how you interact with the UI
Amazing space exploration game, it's the kind of space game i've always been looking for.
What a great co-op experience! I really enjoy the team work, different crew positions and game play that is offered. This is a very unique game that has a lot to offer. The graphics are a bit dated, however the game play itself is top notch.
The game does not hold your hand, you need to work together in order to survive and thrive which is refreshing.
I've played this game on and off for years and I always love coming back to it. It feels like the cousin of void crew that instead of trying to be serious and flashy leans into the player-base which is made up of the same type of people who make home-brew DnD fun with their off the wall self made side quests and ability to break any game master's plans.
Amazing game with friends. But that final part at the end as the captain with the numbers mini-game can seriously just die.
Great Game. One of the best co-op games I've played.
Best space game ever
Its nothing too special. fun with friends. good gameplay, but its not that deep.
Amazing game, highly recommend. Especially for friend groups of five people
Great game t play with friends. I like it lot
Don't take my played hours into account, I reset my Steam timers when I purchased a new computer.
This game, in my opinion, can easily be considered one of the greatest games out there. It knows what it is and it stays true to it to the very end. Is it going to be for everyone? No, and if it isn't, this game is definitely not for you. For those that it is, you'll have one of the most fun, most memorable gaming experiences you'll ever have. The last time I felt this way playing a game and made memories like these was plugging in my 8 bit Nintendo and playing Mario for the first time, and experiencing my first massive living world mmo Everquest about 10 years later.
This is the space sci-fi gamer's wet dream. You play a role on a ship. It has experience and level ups to be better at said roles. It has different races with their own strengths and weaknesses. It has space combat, planet exploration, equipment and gear for yourself and your ship. Upgrades, resource management, biscuits. Break neck action and stress as well as leisurely downtime and travel. Quests, factions, and a true sandbox experience if you just want to ignore it all and put around space. Add to that there is a few different campaigns to play, and you have a game that you can spend literal hundreds, if not a thousand hours and more playing and never truly see everything there is to see.
The graphics in this game are a strange mix of simple efficiency and immense beauty. It is clear that the designers of this game have a true love and appreciation of space, because the galaxy itself as you fly around in your ship is breathtaking in places and a lot of the graphical power in this game is put there. The character models themselves, the interior of your spaceship, and the planetary environments are simple and in some places plain, but they serve the purpose they intend and I don't find myself wanting more. If it were more graphically intense in these areas (as much as things are going on simultaneously), my old computer when I first discovered this game may not have been able to handle it. As such, the simplistic but fun graphics style allow for this game to be nearly lag free in multiplayer environments, which is terribly important given how intense this game can be at times.
If you stress easily, I don't know what to tell you. Have a wank before playing this game or smoke a bowl or something because it spikes hard. Engaging with two separate hostile spacecraft while fighting off a landing team boarding your ship AND trying not to die from lack of oxygen because there's a stage 3 fire in your engine room and life support systems have been disabled from a virus attack from the enemy vessels all at the same time is enough to make your heart pound like you just ran a 6 minute mile. It sounds a bit pathetic, maybe it is, but (imho) if you're playing the game right and you risk losing your 70 hour campaign because you failed in some diplomatic talks and the star cruiser is about to blow your space doors off, the game takes on a new level of stress and fun. I can't speak for all, but that's how my friends and I enjoy it. (Again, I said this game isn't for everyone).
On that note, don't buy this game intending to play it alone. The AI bots are actually quite adept and will allow you to have a good time, but there's nothing, NOTHING like playing this game with a dedicated group of 4-5 friends who know their roles and play them well. My friend is an insane pilot, and we've survived things we never should have because he pulled some crazy shit to buy us time while we fought off a boarding party. To that note, my other friend is a great engineer and keeps us going when we do take a brutal hit and systems go down and requires repairing. The best part of this game is the stories you get to tell after. Like my pilot telling us how he barrel rolled our ship, narrowly missing an asteroid and causing our pursuer to peel off that NONE of us were aware of because we were having a blaster fight in our medical bay fighting off pirates trying to loot our cargo.
To balance the stress, you have a great economy and quest system to earn credits and xp. You also have good areas of downtime, especially after you've obtained some upgrades to your warp distance. Traveling from location to location takes actual time outside of the wormhole warp gates, and is the perfect opportunity to spend talent points from leveling, reviewing and trading equipment to your comrades and comparing and installing new ship upgrades. It also gives you plenty of time to grab a snack/drink and use the potty before trekking off on your next adventure.
I could go on and on, but there really isn't much more to say that would further my point more than I feel I already have stated. Buy this game. It is an incredibly underappreciated gem of a game that is far, far more intricate and detailed in its mechanics and design than most AAA games have ever aspired to be. This team is good and if this is the only game they ever make, I'll be ok with it. As it stands, I hope PULSAR 2 is something I see on my horizon one day.
Loads a fun with a good group of friends.
A VERY good Coop CREW based space game that you can also be playing solo.
('ve had this for ages and forgot the name of this game, now that 've found it again its time to finally get into it again)
PEE PEE POO POO
This game is a really good game. It is definitely a gem. Best played with at-least one friend, the story, adventure, and exploration are all great. The battles can be intense with ai boarding your ship and taking down your power, while a fire is going, and being shot at by another ship all at the same time. Learning your systems and having a good team is key. We are currently end-game with only the final boss left to beat. We are definitely going to play the other campaigns. My first attempt I would warp into sectors of space only to see a huge boss ship that kills me instantly, and I put it down for a few years. I played again with my son, and once we had an understanding of space commanders, and sections of space that has bosses in it we were able to progress. We now are considering turning the chaos level above it's default because we got that good. Even with the lower end graphic you will see beautiful scenes, and play in very immersive environments. Each map is hand crafted. These people did a great job! If they came out with a Pulsar 2, I would buy it.
This game was a hidden gem that I stumbled apon while browsing the steam store for games to play with my friends. I'm not someone typically playing ship games or star trek-like games, but I decided to dicuss buying it with a few friends, almost instantly we got pulled in, with some video tutorials we picked up the game fast. Though the game is a bit rough around the edges it's an extremely enjoyable coop experience, though I'd only play it with 3+ players.
Though some of the info is outdated, I recommend any players learning the game to look things up on the pulsar wiki, because a lot of the ship upgrades past the stuff you start with come in pretty late in the game, at least relative to other games i've played.
absolutely goated game with friends, super underrated
Neat game!
Personal Rating: 8.5/10
Fly through space while your local engineer screams in binary code while your space craft is burning in the vacuum!
Fantastic game with a bit of a learning curve. Lovely community who seem to always be willing to lend a hand when grasping the basics. 5 players: A Pilot, Weapons Specialist, Scientist, Engineer, and a Captain is mandatory. You can add bots to your lobby in place of other players, rename them, and modify how they look too. You fly through space, battle other ships, land on planets, and throw down with bandits to complete objectives! Gamble your life savings at the High Rollers, be a law abiding citizen with the Colonial Union, Sell your soul to the Wolden-Dorf Corperation, sell biscuits with Fluffy Biscuit, or become a gentleman yourself with the Alliance of Gentlemen! Feeling adventurous? Try the Ion Races to boost the ego of your pilot, or to pick on them relentlessly for crashing into a wall immediately!
The Umbra Campaign is fantastic, very tense, had a ton of fun with my friends in that one.
Starfield but good
The best "Star Trek" style experience Iv'e played in a video game. Excellent.
spaceshiup
no
It feels odd to say it this way since Pulsar came first, but if you like Bridge Crew, Void Crew or any of the many other cooperative space ship crew games, then you should definitely give Pulsar a go as it's an absolute blast to play with a good group of friends :)
I love this. I wish we had more crew-based games like this, void crew, star trek bridge crew. I wish we had a category called "Crew-Based" so I could search for crew based games.
hi
Very fun game, but can be quite confusing
Playing both in 2d and VR (meta quest 2, controls took a bit of figuring out thought. hint : quick menu on left grip!!)
The bots actually work very well by default, save the pilot flying into mines (grab the controls or put crew at ease and shoot from a distance), and if you don't mind looking things up you can make custom commands and they'll respond accordingly!
If you play though, be aware engineer is prob the least fun class, and doesn't see much action itself. I recommend a party of 2 or 3 players and use bots for the rest. solo is okay but the game is definitely more fun with friends!
Fantastic space sandbox. There are tons of mechanics and systems to learn and tinker with!
-play with 4 people online via lobby browser, or singleplayer with 4 bots.
-bots priority sets can be extensively customized to automate their behavior to very specific scenarios.
-tons of ships and components (weapons, shields, hulls, processors, upgrades)
-can do missions but is largely unguided sandbox. can pirate, scrap, bounty hunt, respond to distress calls, etc.
-each role has a lot of systems to it, fun to start with the basics, and fun to learn to micro-manage in-depth.
-space-ship based combat, ground-based combat with small arms.
-with so many systems, there's such a wide array of ways to take down the enemy! you can enter a sector cloaked and run viruses to steal their money unawares. Or, you can come in guns blazing. Or, you can take a boarding party to the enemy ship and steal it. Or, you can teleport over to the enemy ship and overload their reactor core. Or, you can cloak into a system with multiple enemies, run a backdoor virus to their strongest ship and sneak in, kill the crew aboard, turn the enemy flagship against it's allies in a surprise attack. The possibilities are endless and i think you'll really love this game!
What do I know, I'm just some guy from the lower decks...
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo booooring, I see what their vision was but I think the vast emptiness of space might've been a free ticket to make a boring and empty game. Ain't worth a dime.
I know you can do things in this video game I just don't know what that's supposed to be
It's alright. 10/10
Its a vibe of its own. Not sure how I never found this before. Loads of things you can do. Just gotta look for it a bit sometimes. You can play solo with bots, friends, or strangers. Claim enemy ships, cloak ships, etc. The more I play, the more i want to play.
You can approach your encounters with ships with a variety of tactical options.
Best played with buds.
Don't be fooled by the low end graphics, this game is an absolute blast!
Janky, but fun with friends
Fun game if you are in a group who can role play their spaceship duties.
WOW! Just spent an hour reading thought the "how too" manual and still can't figure out how to fly the ship using multiple keys. Maybe HOTAS would be better? This is an immersion game for serious micro management mined individuals. Reminded me of the first generation 3D games from the 80's.
Hopping in for an hour of fun would have been nice if the flight controls mapped close enough like other flight sims. I could live with the odd interface mappings and setting micro task priorities for the crew, maybe.
Was really looking forward to trying this in VR after learning the basics on keyboard. Just couldn't get over the flight control kludge.
crew a ship with your friends....fun
Amazing co-op game.
Surprising variety of missions, ships, tasks per role, campaings, items etc. This game is a gem!
Great to play with friends!
Fun with friends
I'm very much a gameplay over graphics guy but this one is too much for me. I wouldn't call this game an asset flip because there's clearly effort and passion put into it by the dev team, but it is so ugly and jank that it kills any immersion I could hope to have. Every planet feels like a bunch of stock unity assets plopped down on textureless terrain and then shipped. I think the game relies heavily on the fun you will have playing with friends to overlook the many glaring issues the world and gameplay have.
good game
Cat Herding Simulator 2014.
Stealth Archery is, as always, overpowered.
FUN WITH FRIENDS
