If Suda 51 made a Ninja Gaiden game
Very sad excuse for a game.
Why was "Spark" allowed to "ruin" two Japanese Franchises, did inafune like them or something, I have really no Idea why you would pick a developer, who had prior to Lost planet 3 only developed First Person Shooter games, with their first being the only good one, and let them make your Ninja Gaiden spin-off.
The story really feels like a bad fanfiction and aside from the two "Big" cutscene, the presentation is rather lacking and bundled with the gameplay, this game would be lucky to be even considered average.
But if all these qualms are not a complete deal breaker for you, then I would at least implore you to only purchase this game, when it is discounted to the price of 3€(2 or 3 Dollar) for your own sake.
I did not really communicate this and analysing this game to every bit would require expertise and time I do not have, but this game is far from an unenjoyable mess, it is just infuriating for a Ninja Gaiden fan and otherwise outclassed by a lot of other games, in the same genre.
Wish I could play the game...
The game won't let me get past the loading screen after pressing "new game" or the "continue" game me thinking that one of them would make a difference in the matter, I have tried a total of three times and this was my last one and don't see myself picking this game back up again if its going to act up like it is. I have validated the integrity of the game files. I know that I have played this game before due to the play time that I have on record nor do I wish to entertain the "custumer service" on this to play it that much. I am just going to give it a negative review and leave this before any more of my time is just wasted on trying to play a decade old game.
It really can't be compared to any ninja gaiden game at all, it's seriously not as good as any game of the franchise, but it's hard to complain about something I got for like 2$. It's not super fun, or challenging, but it is definetly a pretty funny game, Yaiba is actually a pretty hillarious guy if you see him as a product of his time, the zombies are silly, haviung lots of scenes of them doing dumb little stuff and thats kinda adorable. The game being abnormally silly and unserious doesn't make sense when compared to all other ninja gaiden games, but as its own thing, its appreciated, you getting to see a product of its time filled with silly dumb jokes about sex or whatever is kinda cool in its own way, despite game issues.
So yeah, just buy it on a very very VERY cheap sale, and only if you really want to try it out. It's not a good game, but it's also far from worthless I guess.
There is nothing redeeming about this soulless husk of a game.
Takes away all charm from the previous Ninja Gaiden games in litteraly everything.
Hell I would even say the original NG3 had more charm then this... thing.
It is also the last game in franchise so far aswell, avoid at all cost!
Whoever decided to make this decision and concept in the first place deserves a well earned:

Ruined an entire franchise, not fun in the slightest. The only pro about this game is that it's short.
A Good Hack/Slash Game if fan of Ninja Gaiden
was waiting for this game to go on sale and it finally did for $3, and i would say despite some definite flaws it's worth it for that price definitely. this game acts as a spin-off to the regular ninja gaiden game and it has a cool, comical art style, and some pretty decent combat despite the weird combat. the music is a definite strong point and it acts well for this game. it also has some funny moments, as well as badass ones. it feels lackluster in comparison to the regular ninja gaiden games, but if you ignore that fact and play it as it's own thing...you will find enjoyment in it. there is only 7 missions, they are pretty much arena based and it's short and packed with some laughs and decent combat. pick it up on a steep sale, but i wouldn't say it's worth $30.
This is another great game I added to my library, I had this on my 360 and I remember it to be pretty short (storywise). However, the idea of a cyborg ninja fighting against a ninja and a zombie horde is what I love in a video game.

Yaiba could never kill Hayabusa, but it did kill the series.
Outside of the part where the game constantly crashes when cutscenes are supposed to play (with no consistent solution I've found) it's also still Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. A video game that makes Ninja Gaiden 3 look spotless, fun, and enjoyable!
