I remember having Speedball 2100 for the PS, I loved it then and I love this one too. Speedball 2 HD looks nicer, they've kept original theme of the World, the Ambulances are cool, the Armour on the Players looks good and the gameplay is just as good as the original....oh and the soundtrack on this is awesome, 80's futuristic robocop type stuff. Team Management is simple but effective and kept to the original setup.
Single and multiplayer with partial controller support in the menu's but full controller operation on the pitch (X Box Pro Series 2)
I found this gem for 85 pence on sale well worth it. It's still worth at least £10 I'd say.
Some people slated it but I highly recommend it...this is a keeper.
What a Game! Love it decades ago and still love it today. I would like to see the Team Manager part to the original game put back, would be nice. Other then that 1 of the all time greats !!
Well, well, well...
Honestly, it's fun. I haven't played this game in probably over 30 years or so and it's one of those that stuck in my mind. I only recently found this new version and it sure takes me back. It's not a perfect game by today's standards but that is part of that good old charm. Really pleased.
Gameplay was more fluid in the A500 original, but it´s still fun.
Works perfectly with my competition pro usb!
Sadly, the intro music is new...the old track was epic.
Had this on my Amiga back in the day, great to see a Bitmap Brothers game on here and now again on my PC, whilst this seems to be the only one here's hoping more appear! This is exactly as I remember it, fun and silly, and keeps you coming back for that promotion or that elusive cup win! ICE CREAM!
