The storyline is engaging and pulls you right into the Marvel universe. You get to play as a variety of iconic superheroes, like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America, each with their unique powers. It’s fun to see how the game captures their personalities while allowing you to use their abilities in clever ways.
One of the standout features for me was the open-world environment. Being able to explore places like New York City while completing missions felt really immersive. I enjoyed swinging through the city as Spider-Man, taking in all the little details that the developers included. The world feels alive, and there are plenty of side missions and collectibles that kept me busy.
The gameplay itself is fantastic. It's a mix of action, puzzle-solving, and platforming, making it engaging for players of all ages. I appreciated that the puzzles often let you switch between characters to utilize their different skills, which promotes creative problem-solving. It really felt rewarding to figure things out, especially when I unlocked new characters and abilities along the way.
Another thing worth mentioning is the humor woven throughout the game. The witty dialogue and comedic moments really captured the spirit of the Marvel comics and movies. I found myself chuckling at the character interactions, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re playing with friends or family, the cooperative mode is a blast. Teaming up adds a layer of fun, allowing you to work together to tackle challenges. It’s great to see how different players can contribute with their chosen heroes, making every mission a unique experience.
In summary, "LEGO Marvel Superheroes" offers a fantastic blend of action, humor, and creativity. Whether you’re a Marvel fan or just enjoy fun, family-friendly games, this gives you plenty of reasons to play. It’s accessible enough for casual gamers while providing enough depth for those who like to explore every corner of the game. I definitely recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!
A must play LEGO game... many hours of fun
This lego game is another fantastic product, Having a bunch of characters from the comics like deadpool and bullseye, took me awhile to 100% but i feel proud of myself.
Anuam lutuk khel ve ru.
English: Its fun go play.
This is hands down the greatest lego game I have played. I played it once as a wee child and now revisiting it, the game still holds up well as a fun marvel themed collectathon. The characters are very true to their comic book counter parts and this game has a lot of good jokes and fun refferrences to the MCU, and the fox movies. Overall I would recommend this to anyone as I loved playing it and even going for the 100%.
the game is exceedingly fun, you can get all the games and the dlcs for a low price too with the bundle, only complaint is its kinda of laggy in some parts but only really because your trying to play a decade old game on a PC
good times. slightly pre mcu
Probably the best Single Player campaign in a TT LEGO game. A fun romp stopping the bad guys from building a super weapon with dangerous bricks where you play as a collection of Marvel characters like Spider-man or Iron-man, and ends on a high-note that's been built up though out the game.
And while I would say the post game is good, I have to admit the driving and flying controls are too sensitive and for me and there's no option to adjust them. Plus I don't think everything was fully tested, like there's one race that starts in the middle of the sky and you get placed on a fan blade that could kill you and end up back on the ground.
Great game for the Steam Deck! I played this Lego game ages ago on the Xbox. What I didn't miss is the flying of characters. Took me a bit longer to 100% the game because of this. Though if you aren't looking to do that, it's a fun game to get through. A nice mix of comic book story and the MCU movies.
I love when I get to mate callie in this game its so fun
One of my favorite Lego games, and a piece of my (late) childhood, honestly. Game is just as I remember playing on my dad's Xbox.
There is, however, a peculiar glitch occurring with my copy: after completing a level, the 'Continue Story' button doesn't seem to work, effectively soft-locking the game. Fortunately, bringing up the Task Manager works just fine in this state. I can't say if this is just something wrong with mine, or if this is widespread, but perhaps something to look out for (or for Steam to look into).
I loved the whole game it just brings back memories
its really fun and great to play with siblings or other various relativities
10/10
The races may get annoying, but that 100% was sooooo worth it
Gotta say... it's fantastic.
better than the second one solely because of Only this game has wolverine
Seriously fuck this game, what a mess of a port
good luck trying to make it work with gamepad and make it understand that YOU. ARE. NOT. PLAYING. COUCH MULTIPLAYER
The game keeps assuming that the keyboard is player 1 and the controller is player 2, serioulsy WTF? how this have still not being fixed???
If you play with a controller, good luck, you'l have a better experience emulating this mess in a ps3 emulator with apirated room than wasting any money on a messy port like this
good, I wish I could still refund this shit
Yes i highly recommend this game even though it is old i only started playing it about 5 days ago and i have had so much fun and decided that i wanted to 100 percent this. So if you are scepticle about buying this either buy it because it is very good! or wait fro an offer like i did to get it for around 80 percent of, if you dont know if you like it.
fucking garbage waste of my fucking time this fucking game and the fucking minecraft movie is the worst thing to happen to me this month
la la la lava chi chi chiken i am going fucking exlopde like rex from invincible this the worst fucking waste of my time
type shit
goated lego game probably the best one to exist
delete the races and why is it so goddamn hard to control a flying character and cars
Actually pretty funny, if you love superheroes you gonna love this videogame, masterpiece!!
This is what Lego games should be. Sure, they reuse a mountain of assets form Lego Star Wars, Lego Harry Potter, and other characters. But it's still fun to use these characters. Besides, how different should Juggernaut and Hulk really feel? Everyone is at least decent fun to use. The quality of characters really dips down after the main playable cast, but they are still fun to play. It's a rare Lego game where I actually played a decent amount of the post game. It's fun to run around the city and experience the barely tested content.
This does succeed as a love letter to Marvel comics, and that's all it needs to be.
Need a break from every single "AAA" title being hot trash or trying to be "souls like" in difficulty? This game is a chill, fun break away from a lot of the recent garbage. No political under tones, no woke subliminal messaging. Just good old fashioned fun the way games should always be. Totally worth every single penny.
This genuinely might be my favorite game of all time. I have so many nostalgic memories from when I was a kid, and it still holds up today.
Played the first two levels on xbox. Downloaded it on steam to complete the rest of it!

I'll wait untill you name a better combo. Great game
Not much to say. It's your classic lego game.
I have a lot to say about this game, and I know I'm about 12 years too late, but anyway.
Pros:
~ This game is fun and for someone who loves to unlock as much as they can, the time spent on this game definitely makes it worth the buy. I'm about 20 hours in and I'm only at 35.5% complete.
~ I love that they got Clark Gregg to reprise his role as Coulson, what an icon.
~ I like the open world concept (in theory).
~ I am very happy that Deadpool leads you to the next step in the side quests (although this was not made clear at first).
Cons:
~ The voice acting removes any and all humor. What made games like Lego Pirates of the Caribbean funny was that there had to be a cleverness to the actions of the characters, the humor didn't rely on the ability to speak. So most of the jokes in this game did not land at all.
~ As I mention, the open world concept is cool in theory, but in practice, it's kind of a nightmare. There's way too much to explore, the map has no legend so it's hard to tell [at first] what the different icons mean, and the map also twists and turns every time you open it, so it's a real pain in the butt to navigate.
~ I don't know why the controls change depending on the screen, but it's super annoying that 'Enter' and 'J' get switched without warning or the 'WASD' controls are suddenly replaced by the arrow keys, this was just a really poor decision that does not make this game user-friendly.
~ I absolutely detest the way that this game will tell you how to do the simplest thing 50 times, but when something different arises, you are totally SOL. Like in certain situations with the Spider-Man pulling mechanic where you can automatically grab onto the object with 'K,' but other times, you have to manually grab onto it, but they don't distinguish when you have to do this, making the player think they are just not in the right spot or are doing something wrong. It's just frustrating.
~ The flying and driving mechanics freaking SUCK. It is so difficult to control with the keyboard, and don't even get me started on the fact that when I just want to fly two feet up, I get launched almost halfway across the city for no reason without being able to stop. Is there a boost or something that I trigger and just don't know about because the game explains pretty much none of the mechanics? This makes it almost impossible to complete certain side quests and races, which is really disappointing, because I am absolutely a completionist and I already know I will never be able to reach 100%.
All in all, the game has its good aspects, and my main problems come from the controls, mechanics, and lack of explanations. I would not have paid full price for this and, for sure, would not recommend playing this on a computer as I did, but otherwise, I would recommend this game.
ETA: I did, in fact, reach 100%. Took almost 50 hours. Apparently, the flying controls suck for Iron Man, and pretty much Iron Man only (although I thought Thor was a struggle, too, so I guess it was the animation lagging them down) at least character-wise. I almost threw my computer out the window with the freaking Hawkeye Skycycle or whatever it's called. I hated that race so much. But apparently, it's possible to do, even on my crappy laptop keyboard. Here's hoping the next game is better in that regard, but overall, I did have fun!
Wonderful game, full of content, funny, you can play it alone or with someone else. Fun for adults and kids as well. 100% reccomend
Man, I used to play this game all the time when I was little and the nostalgia was crazy. Too bad I couldn't get past the first level back then 😂. A definite recommend! 👍

This game is really fun. Buying this was the best decision I've made in a long time. I actually initially bought this to mod it a little since I've played through the story two times on my PlayStation, but after actually playing it a little, I forgot to mod it because I was having fun with the game itself. It's somehow even better than I remember. Would recommend to anyone who loves Marvel.
Lego Marvel Superheroes is an absolute must for Marvel fans! The game brings together an incredible lineup of characters from the Marvel Universe, allowing you to control your favorite heroes in classic Lego style. Whether you're swinging through the streets as Spider-Man, smashing things with the Hulk, or using Iron Man's tech, the game offers endless fun and excitement.
What I love most about this game is the sheer variety. There are so many heroes to choose from, each with their own unique abilities, and the levels are packed with action and humor, staying true to the spirit of both Lego and Marvel. The open-world aspect of the game is also a huge plus, allowing you to explore New York City and interact with characters and places from the comics and movies.
If you're a Marvel fan, this game is an absolute no-brainer. It’s fun, packed with nostalgia, and a perfect blend of two of the best franchises out there.
better than that trash marvel rivals, mass hysteria ahh playerbase pretending its fun just like league of legends
great game to just calm your mind and relax
Very good game, and perfect for almost anyone's first game. Would definitely recommend.
10/10 this game is my childhood, it has peak level and character designs. Best Lego game, if you want to play one this is the one.
Story? Fun to play with my lil brother.
As far as 100% the game is going?
The Races are makin me mad, if i'm being honest.
The Flying Controls aren't good enough for some of the flying races to exist at all.
and the control panels to spawn vehicles are sometimes not close enough to the race starting goals making for an infuriating experience.
Story is fun. 100% the game sucks.
If you've played a Lego game ever in your life, you know exactly what to expect out of this game. With that said, this particular title has my favorite over-world out of all the titles I've played. It's expansive and allows for exploration in a way that isn't quite captured in earlier or later Lego games.
9/10
One of my favourite Lego games to date. Flying is a much better system than how it was in Lego Batman 2. The middle sections of levels do drag on a bit, but I can easily look past that with how much fun I had with the rest of it. The humour in the game was done perfectly and never felt out of place or over the top, which is a problem I have with more recent Lego games. The open world was a nice improvement over Lego Batman 2 and was nicely sized, making it never feel like a drag to 100 percent.
very good nostalgic game with lots of stuff to do
To put it bluntly, I would rather step on every lego piece in this game than play it all the way through again.
I have been stuck on terrain, had levels break entirely causing me to reset them, had my ears blasted by poorly cut audio. All for what is overall just not a great lego game.
Its not based on any other movies or comics, there are no recognisable moments from the marvel series and the levels barely link together. Ever since lego swapped to voiced characters we've had subpar writing and bad puns.
For some reason half this games unlocks take place in the open world, rather than in the actual levels which are the highlight of the game. Who had the idea that i need to manually walk across the entire city to fetch a lego monkey to walk back with it, stopping every two seconds to make sure it doesn't get left behind because it can't run. All to unlock the mandarins speedboat which for some reason is one of two boats in the entire game, solely accessible through one vehicle terminal and you will almost certainly forget exists until you hit 99% completion and get very confused as to why the game isn't complete.
until you have beaten every level in story mode, the game will not let you freely swap characters in the open world city, you are forced to track down the terminals which have a ten second long deploying animation just to access the UI to swap characters.
The races never disable npc traffic and everything is on a collision course, I have had races failed numerous times due to colliding with six taxis that are sat in a circle at an intersection because none of them figured out how to pass through. the flying races are even worse. I don't know how they made half the characters fly and not a single one doesn't feel like you are actively fighting your controller and the camera to move the right direction.
If I had a dollar for every weird bug or barely functional mechanic in this game, I would have almost as many dollars as there is incredibly annoying fetch quests and stan lee "cameos"
This would be barely excusable, but they actually KNEW and call attention to it, each of the deadpool quests you get at the end of the game have him complain about how benign and repetitive they are.
All in, this is a children's game that has made me lose my mind, and is likely too hard for the average child to complete. Complaining like this is the only way i know to claw back some fragment of my mushed brain.

I very much enjoy all the LEGO games that have an open world component to them, I'm glad it's become something of a staple in their creations over the years.
Originally played on the Xbox 360. I am not even a fan of Marvel, in fact, I have never watched a Marvel movie apart from the 1st spiderman movie. But, this is still a fun Lego game. The open world isn't too bad, and I even 100% completed the game. Missions are pretty fun too.
The flying (character flying like with ironman) in the freeroam sucks though, controls are wonky and are annoying to use.
it's a really good game you get to play as the fantastic four x men avengers and many more and you can make any character you want
Good game. I was sad it was over. I can't believe I didn't buy more when they were all on sale. No sensitivity option is rough. Your AI coop partner doesn't hit enemies for some reason until they're hit and then only for like two seconds. And no New Game Plus when you unlock everything isn't the best. 9.5/10 for those three reasons. 100% both game and achievements in 45 hours.
