It is not SACRED ! But it is a lovely hack and slash game, with nice story, great graphics, and great characters.
só comprei por nostalgia, eu acho legal, porém não vale a pena não KKKKKK, muito repetitivo, só vale na promoção fica 8 conto com as DLCS!
Diablo finally grown to SACRED (1) in 2024.
While sacred become plot-less instance-based crap from open world in 2014.
Shame on you.
Its an ok game. more repetitive than tactical. Graphics are nice and audio is good. Can be a little challanging at times.
Full controller support, installs just fine, game appearance is acceptable. Intro cinematic is low quality and not worth watching, but is skipable.
I think the target audience is probably 8 yrs old. Lots of bright colors, comic graphics, simplistic game mechanics.
It's a hack and slash game where you roam around attacking things not unlike gauntlet or torchlight.
At the start, you roam around a embattled city while some non-present lady tells you what to do and where to go, though you don't really have any choice in paths. The non-present lady explains things like freeing slaves as if the concept of slavery were new to the player.
You hack, you slash, and there's like a boss towards the end...it's predictable and linear, like a scooby do episode. This is a game for children and people high as a kite...I recommend this game on that basis.
The main flaw with this game is that it was released as a sequel to Sacred 2, which is an unrelated game aimed at an older target audience.
I paid $5 for this game with all of it's expansions. It's worth $5.
Introduction:
Paws down, Sacred 3 ain’t the howlin’ good time you’d expect from a game riding the coattails of its mighty ancestors. Released back in the dog days of summer on August 1, 2014, by Keen Games and published by THQ Nordic, this hack ‘n’ slash adventure aimed to bring a pack of players together for some co-op chaos. But lemme tell ya, this game is more bark than bite. Let’s sink our teeth into this so-called sequel and see if it’s worth the howl—or if it’s just another mutt in a long line of pedigree pooches.
Plot Summary:
So, here’s the deal. Sacred 3 throws you into the war-torn land of Ancaria, where you, the hero, must band together with up to three other players to save the world from some evil big bads. Sounds like your typical Saturday night in the wolf pack, right? The story’s about as deep as a frozen puddle, with a linear path that drags you from one mission to the next, all while some disembodied voice tries to narrate like they’re in on some cosmic joke. You fight through waves of enemies—grimmocs, mercs, undead wizards—yada yada. It’s a fetch quest, but instead of bringing the stick back, you’re supposed to save the world. Or somethin’.
The Studio:
Keen Games ain’t no Ascaron, and that’s where the fur starts to fly. Sacred 1 and 2 were these sprawling, open-world RPGs that let you roam free like a lone wolf under the full moon. But Keen? They took the Sacred name, slapped it on a linear brawler, and called it a day. Sure, they’ve got some experience under their belt with games like “TNT Racers” and “Anno 1701: Dawn of Discovery,” but Sacred 3? It’s like they tried to put a collar on a wild wolf and walk it like a poodle. It just doesn’t fit.
Characters:
Now, here’s where it gets as thin as winter ice. You get to choose from four legendary heroes, each with their own “unique” skills and weapons. There’s the Seraphim, who’s supposed to be this celestial warrior but ends up feeling more like a glorified babysitter. Then there’s the Ancarian, a tribal warrior who, despite her fierce appearance, is about as engaging as a snowdrift. Don’t even get me started on the Safiri and Khukuri, who round out the crew with their bland personalities and cookie-cutter abilities. The NPCs? Forgettable at best. They’re more like chew toys for your boredom than characters you’ll remember.
Narrative Quality:
The narrative in Sacred 3 is as thin as a wolf’s tail in molting season. The dialogue tries to be funny but lands like a belly flop into an icy lake. The main villain cracks jokes like he’s auditioning for a bad cartoon, and your own team never shuts up with their constant, inane banter. It’s like they took the epic tales of old and shredded them into confetti for some half-hearted celebration. The plot’s predictable, the characters are flat, and the dialogue? Let’s just say it’s enough to make even a seasoned alpha like me roll my eyes.
Engagement:
This game’s about as engaging as chasing your tail. Sure, the combat’s flashy enough to keep your paws busy for a bit, but after a while, it’s just the same old song and dance. Hack, slash, dodge, repeat. There’s no real sense of progression, no loot to sink your teeth into, and the story doesn’t do much to pull you along. If you’re looking for a deep, immersive experience, you’d be better off playing fetch by yourself. Sacred 3 is more like a snowstorm—blinding and chaotic at first, but once it settles, you realize there’s not much there.
Structure:
Sacred 3’s structure is linear to a fault. You go from point A to point B, beat up some bad guys, rinse and repeat. There’s no open world to explore, no side quests to sink your teeth into, and the level design feels more like a series of tubes than a living, breathing world. The pacing is fast, but not in a good way—it rushes you through content like a sled dog on a mission, leaving no time to savor the journey. The game’s organization is so rigid, it feels like they had one path in mind and dared you to stray from it. Spoiler: You can’t.
Themes & Analysis:
What themes? Sacred 3 doesn’t have the deep, philosophical undertones of its predecessors. Instead, it’s like they took a wolf’s howl and turned it into a yawn. The game’s central theme is “teamwork,” but it’s presented in such a shallow, surface-level way that it feels like an afterthought. The character arcs are non-existent, the writing is basic, and the overall structure? Let’s just say it’s not gonna win any awards for storytelling. The game tries to be about heroism, sacrifice, and unity, but it comes off more like a half-hearted pep talk before a losing battle.
Mechanics:
Let’s talk mechanics, because this is where the claws come out. Sacred 3 is an arcade-style hack ‘n’ slash, but it’s as shallow as a paw print in the snow. You’ve got your basic attacks, a few special moves, and a dodge roll. That’s it. No deep combos, no skill trees, no loot system to speak of. The co-op mechanics are supposed to be the big selling point, but they’re about as exciting as a walk through the woods. You can team up with three other players, but there’s no real synergy, no combo attacks, no reason to work together other than the game saying you should. It’s like they took the bones of a great game and forgot to add the meat.
Visual Quality:
Visually, Sacred 3 isn’t terrible, but it ain’t gonna win any beauty contests either. The textures are decent, the lighting is okay, and the character models are passable. But there’s nothing here that’ll make you stop and stare. The environments are repetitive, the enemy designs are uninspired, and the overall aesthetic feels like it’s trying too hard to be edgy without actually committing to it. It’s like they tried to create a winter wonderland but ended up with a slushy mess instead.
Performance:
Here’s where the frostbite really sets in. Sacred 3 runs fine most of the time, but when it does hit a rough patch, it’s like getting caught in a blizzard. Frame rates drop, glitches pop up, and sometimes the game just decides to freeze up like a lake in winter. It’s not unplayable, but it’s far from smooth. The controls are responsive enough, but the overall performance leaves you feeling like you’re playing on thin ice.
World-Building:
Now, if there’s one thing Sacred 3 fails at spectacularly, it’s world-building. Ancaria, this once sprawling, vibrant world, has been reduced to a series of corridors and battle arenas. There’s no exploration, no sense of discovery, no lore to uncover. It’s like they took the rich history of Sacred and buried it under a snowbank. Compared to other games in the genre, Sacred 3’s world is a barren wasteland, devoid of life and color. It’s a far cry from the open-world majesty of Sacred 1 and 2, and it’s a damn shame to see it reduced to this.
Praise & Critique:
Let’s howl at the moon for a minute. Sacred 3 isn’t all bad. The combat, while shallow, can be fun in short bursts. The graphics, while not groundbreaking, are serviceable. And if you’ve got a group of friends who don’t mind mindless hack ‘n’ slash action, you might find some enjoyment here. But that’s about where the praise ends. The game’s biggest flaw is that it’s called Sacred 3. If it had been released as a standalone title, it might’ve been received better. But as a sequel to two beloved RPGs? It’s a slap in the face to fans of the series. The lack of depth, the linear gameplay, the absence of loot and customization—it’s all a far cry from what made Sacred great.
Comparison:
Compared to other games by Keen Games, Sacred 3 is like the runt of the litter. TNT Racers had more charm, and even Anno 1701 had more depth. In the broader genre of hack ‘n’ slash games, Sacred 3 doesn’t hold a candle to titles like Diablo or Torchlight. It’s like they tried to copy the formula but forgot the secret ingredient. And compared to its predecessors, Sacred 3 is a pale imitation—a shadow of the games that came before it. It’s a game that doesn’t seem to know what it wants t
If you remember old school sacred, don't waste your time with this one.
