the game had a good chance to be good, but oh god how bad is the controls
I didn't have any technical issues like some of the others, but I refunded it due to the QTE's that absolutely infest this game. QTE's were always bad game design and I'm happy to see that they've kinda disappeared in recent games. Maybe Steam needs a tag for games that indicated that there are QTE's.
If the level design had been smarter, it could have definitely competed with Devil May Cry. The artistic graphics still look stunning even after all these years, and the enemies are quite engaging. As was common in games of that era, the camera can be extremely frustrating, but overall, it still delivers an enjoyable experience.
combat fun, liked the cringey story, is too short of game compared to the first one as if they overcorrected
2/10
weird retcon of the original game, bad hitboxes, bad pc port of the game, gamepad is mandatory or else you'll be limited to access the upgrade menu when it's suggests, anti-intuitive and unlogical pathways and resolutions. I Regret buying this, if only i knew it was this bad
hell yeah: the game 2
Thanks to this game I bought my 1st controller! Game is fun!
继续给水银蒸气当练功房了呗还说啥呢,都记吧哥们,超密重置都靠你了。
Game is good!
Not recommended. Game crashes to desctop when you pick up the first relic!
All things Castlevania must be loved until Konami ends my suffering! END MY SUFFERING, KONAMI!
I've always loved Castlevania for its great storyline, awesome characters, and fun gameplay. Even though it’s an older game, the graphics still hold up and are definitely a 10/10. I wish they would either make more titles or even consider a remaster. Alucard's DLC was a lot of fun, though a bit short, but I really enjoyed the experience. The character designs are absolutely fantastic. ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
My friend who I play CS 2 with said if I post a review on this game and it gets 202 likes and 69 Awards that he will buy me a RTX 3060 and 2 Kilos of canned ham. So I'm just gonna leave this here. Help a brotha!
Great story, and a lot of improvements over an already good first game.
If you're into the genre, then you'll love this just like you did the prequel. Besides an exellent story and a good combat system, this game also offers some things to do after completing the story for completionists and achievement hoarders alike.
if you love vampire stories and Draculas story, you should give it a try. Romanians people will be proud😉
dracul...

awsome
Maybe i'm just getting old, but the camera shake on enemy hit is crazy in this game. It's pretty disorienting for me.
It is a great hack and slash game with beautiful missions
It' Castlevania, those who know, know, it's a 15 out of 10, great game.
You can turn into a rat in this game.
This is a subpar sequel, the stealth sections, the non sensical story, the jarring art style of having a pharmeceutical company as the modern location, the mediocre and confusing open map, Dracula saying "bitch".
If you liked LOS1 like I did, don't bother with this.
Older game but a great game.Story is fantastic.
I'm very torn about writing this review since the game is very cheap when it's on sale, it has its moments and graphically it still holds up decently well but there are too many elements that make the experience unpleasant. Aside from the cringe stealth parts and the terrible platform parts, there are really too many fillers that make exploration a pain in the ass and that only serve to mask the loading times (so on PC they are totally useless), the save and loading system is terrible and the indicator on the map sends you who knows where. So... it's not horrible overall but often not funny. Prepare to be patient.
This game would have been soo much better without the stealth sections and the traveling system leaves something to be desired cool as the concept is. That aside this is a good game with a great story and characters. The voice acting is great and the combat is good with some epic boss battles.
Masterpiece!
Finally gave Satan some pants, still missing some wall chicken. No one wants to play as a rat or vape cloud...
Underrated Game
Still nice to play
One of the worst games I played, with a dumb plot, ridiculous setting for a Castlevania game, stupid design decisions with poorly implemented mechanics, especially the stealth sections, which are not hard, just are there for no reason.
I have no idea who thought of having you play as Dracula and make the character so weak and dumb. The combat is okay, but you are gonna see little of it, since the game thinks it has a real nice story to tell, and tries to shove it every second it can, with the action left to small portions with the same three/four enemies
The progression is bad and the limit gauge to use weapons discourage experimentation, making you use mostly the same weapon, which has the least movepool variety. It is an old game, it could be alright back in the day, but I would never reccomend to play nowadays. The first Lords of Shadow, although a little dated, is a much better experience, with more action and a direction less in love with the poorly written script
Good story combat and game altogether better then half the crap thats been coming out lately

nice ^_^
A step forward in some aspects and a step backward in others, this game is fun experimental and frustrating in equal measures . still i high recommendation especially if you've enjoyed the other games in the Lords of shadow series.
I really liked the combat in this game more than the first Lords of Shadow and I think a lot of that has to do with the addition of more weapons and the fact that aerial combat is now viable due to the inclusion of an air dodge. The game looks gorgeous although the flashback castle sequences are much better than the modern day city setting and I wish you spent more time there. I'm kind of ambivalent on the more open world design of this game compared to the distinct stages in the first game. Personally I prefer the individual stages, but it wasn't bad, definitely not the worst open world design. One thing I really didn't care for were the forced stealth sections. Not because they're difficult, because they aren't, it's because it slows down the flow of the game and you're playing as Dracula for fucks sake. It should be a cool power fantasy, not having you hide from enemies as a fucking rat. It's also a lazy PC port. The game launches in console resolution and doesn't have PC resolution as an option in the settings so I had to go into the game's files and manual change the resolution in launches at. The DLC is alright if you can get it on sale. Alucard is cool and plays differently enough from Dracula to keep it interesting and it thankfully takes place entirely in the castle.
a lot of bugs and no one care in this game , i really feel sorry see game like this with this good story just ignored by the own company ... there's no save or loading in the game the bugs everywhere too
El juego es muy bueno su calidad y dificultad me dan alegría
A huge improvement from the original. I liked the first game for the most part but it feels like they found their direction for this one and got rid of a few of the annoyingly tedious parts like mounted beast puzzles etc. The combat feels better over all as well so this is a definite recommend.
Lost the cloud progress of mine, felt sad for it, but overall its a great journey with Gabriel.
The story contained in the LoS2 is masterfullly written, much like the gampley is fitting to the game's setting and the main stroy It is a masterpiece. This part closes the Lords of Shadow saga pretty nicely.

Pretty awesome game, I enjoy how it has a good mixture of SLIGHT challenge with combat and puzzles, and I also think the story is extremely compelling. THEY NEED TO REBOOT MORE RETRO OLD SCHOOL GAMES LIKE THIS!!!!!!
the good old days not a DEI in sight just straight gaming and living in the moment
So far a really fun action game, and an interesting 3d Castlevania
.
TOO MUCH BUGS.......................
Played this game when it was on PS3,
I enjoyed it back and even now the combat is system is nice and diverse,
the only thing i don like about the game is puzzle inside the fortress, maybe they need to provide better hint.
other wise great game.
yes a good game worthy of mention they need to bring story driven games like this back
good game
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
-----------------------------------------------
A fun sequel that doesn’t quite top the original.
While it doesn’t improve much on the first game, it still delivers a solid hack-and-slash adventure. The combat is just as satisfying, but some of the magic from the original is missing. The boss fights are still a highlight, though they don’t feel as grand this time around.
The story takes some strange turns, but it keeps things interesting. Not as strong as the first, but still a decent ride.
And yes, the soundtrack continues to be a banger—worth playing with headphones on. Just don’t get too distracted while Sucking your victims dry.
Enjoy !!!
