Why is this so much less fun than the original? It feels like everything kills you instantly in this one.
Innovative and challenging gameplay, a ton of different levels, obstacles and challenges and overall a very rewarding and fun experience.
The game doesn't pull punches, and players are expected to survive at least 3 minutes against unforgiving enemies which end your game in a single hit. I think for some this could be a frustrating experience if you struggle against certain enemies or are bad at the game. But for me it was a fun and rewarding experience to figure out how to exploit enemy patterns or arrange the blocks in preparation for enemy waves.
I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys tough puzzle games and retro-style platformers like Super Meat Boy, Puyo Puyo, VVVVVV and Mr Driller. It's got that similar "One More Game" feel where the game is hard, but your deaths feel deserved, and you want to play again to beat your best score.
Loved playing this game. Alone and with friends. Highly recommended!
mid game but gating content behind golden blocks that just randomly drop and you have to get lucky is such an incredibly stupid decision
