About the Game
The world’s most irreverent co-op action adventure returns! In the next chapter of Magicka, players ascend from the ruins of Aldrheim to experience a Midgård almost wiped free of Wizards after the Wizard Wars, with the few that do remain having either gone mad or extremely hostile toward all others. To rid the world of evil, again, up to four Wizards, and their guide Vlad, will traverse Midgård armed with the next iteration of the famous Magicka dynamic spellcasting system, as players reprise their roles as the most overpowered, unpredictably funny Wizards ever known to fantasy!
Learn to Spell Again... Again!
Ye olde hybrid elements Steam and Ice from Magicka 1 are back, joined by the brand new Poison! This means tons of new spells to cast at friends and foes - complete with larger explosions and greatly improved graphics!
Learn to Spell Again
As an all-powerful Wizard, you will have thousands of spells at your fingertips to experiment and defeat evil with, use them together with special Magicks to annihilate foes or give necessary aid to your companions.
- Combine up to five elements at a time and work together with—or against—your friends for that full Magicka co-op experience.
- Four Player Friendly Fire Compatible Co-op
- Full co-op support! All levels and game modes in Magicka 2 will be supported for four player co-op with hot join, checkpoints, and other supportive features and functionality.
- Friendly fire is always on, promoting emergent gameplay humor as players accidentally hurt or kill their friends in their attempts to annihilate enemies.
Be the Wizard You Want to Be!
With tons of robes, staffs, and weapons you can play as the robed Wizard of your choice to wreak havoc amongst hordes of fantasy creatures as you see fit. Magicka 2's dynamic spellcasting system can be used in many different ways, offering hours of experimentation for players to figure out which spells belong in their repertoire. Add both co-op and friendly fire on top of that and you have a recipe for hilarious disasters.
Replay the Next Chapter with Artifacts
Magicka 2 offers players a story-driven campaign mode set in a lush fantasy world influenced heavily by Nordic folklore. New to the franchise are "Artifacts," which act as different switches and options for players to customize and change the gameplay experience, adding more replayability when utilized.

Magicka 2
Overall impression
The continuation of a fun series with a unique "alchemical" mechanic, which this time gives the player 11 elements to use, but at the same time changes certain mechanics that were "broken" in the first part, or in other words, reworked the balance - so that the enemies had at least some chance against the player. The entire Campaign was played Solo 2 times in its entirety. The very first one was on the "Normal" difficulty, and the next one was "Impossible" or "Bananas" (code word from the first part?), which in some places was really impossible (only for a while :) ) . The third time was purely for some achievements.

What DID I like?
- The system of weaknesses and strengths of opponents, which requires selecting elements to attack against them. On the highest difficulty, choosing the right elements plays a critically important role.
- The system of artifacts, which allows you to customize the session to your taste. Want hardcore, or fly the entire company in a few hours? Go ahead.
- The system of arsenal and rob for the player. Unlike the first part, here you have the opportunity to build builds of different types for different opponents and locations. Of course, the ideal build is difficult to achieve, and in most cases it will have weaknesses along with strengths.
What I DIDN'T like?
- Need for a Paradox Interactive account to play multiplayer.
- Magick`s quick access.
[*] The presence of OP magick`s, which will be chosen in 90% of cases. And the rest will be used purely for fun.

Conclusion
After two full playthroughs of the game, it would be interesting to look at its gameplay in the company of other players. Would it be a balanced game? I'm sure not. Since when you play solo you are responsible only for yourself. In addition to guessing about multiplayer, it was quite interesting to build your own builds for certain locations or bosses, not counting the selection of elements for defense and attack. The time trial at the maximum difficulty level in solo at the "Triumvirate" level gives you a real test.
It's a pity that some achievements definitely require company to achieve them. And I almost forgot: Vlad is not a vampire.
Fucking piece of shit does not work with a ps4 controller. You can not change the spells. Known bug. Fuck you paradox interactive, suck my fat cock.
for bucks i have enjoyed the Humour of this game, Spoiler Alert Vlad is not a Vampire!!! very Fun with friends especially do to the friendly Fire. if you want to get a new Keyboard or mouse i would recommend you play with your Friends Banana Mode. Because you End up Crashing out and start committing some violent Crimes to the PC.
fun
The game is suitable only for two friends looking for a pleasant game for one evening.
- A small plot, enough for just one evening.
- Uninteresting maps compared to the first part. A forest and a castle. Boring.
- Terrible camera. If you're playing with 2+ people, be prepared for frustration due to characters constantly flying off the map, etc. In the first part, each character had their own camera, rather than a centralized one for everyone. It was much more enjoyable to play that way. You can't change it in the settings.
- Funny, characteristic Magika humor. By the way, Vlad is not a vampire.
- The graphics are prettier. Not surprising, it's been five years since the first part.
- Mandatory registration with Paradox to play with a friend. What the hell??? When will Steam ban third-party launchers and require three registrations before playing something I've already bought?
=============
I recommend buying it only on sale. BTW, deluxe version is useless.
Shit game. Would be fun if you didnt need to sell your soul to the devil and create a paradox account
Not sure I want to play this. You start with close to ten controls plus area/beam/or self options. I am almost 62 and do not learn like I used to.What do you all think of the play difficulty regarding controls?
Fun & complex enough. Well done!
not even worth 3 quid . trash game waste of money
very fun co-op game! def recommend for the price!
A good time with friends, im being very serious
Combine spells, make boom. Explode yourself.
How did we survive this?
Wow I can't believe someone managed to make magic this awful. I'm astounding how much I HATE this trashpile of a game. The tactics is all in what kind of spell you're going to whip together but you have 2 seconds or less to figure that out aaaaaand you're dead, here's a respawn right into the thick of it aaaaaand dead again. There's no where to go; the arenas you fight in are so small you have to quickly think of how to protect yourself which will only last a few seconds so I guess you have to button mashing meticulously fast already knowing how you're going to handle every wave or you just die constantly. I'm always barely scrambling to come up with a spell to meat the situation and I have no time to think I HATE THIS SHIT! I should send you guys a bill for my 2 hours of testing this crap-shoot.
I hereby award you with "Worst Magic Game of All Time"
This game is good, recommmended for who have good brain :D
If you are looking for a game to play with a friend - look no further. Magicka 2 is a great action adventure game and the aesthetic is perfect for the fantasy lover like myself. (although not a requirement).
best game period
Difficult, lots of bugs, gets boring quickly.
love this game, but my friends are poor and don't buy the game :/
This game is better than CS2
i like
والله لعبة
great with wify
good game
gattttttt
Charming, Fun and Hilarious
Magicka 2 doesn't pretend to be a serious, gritty RPG experience. It focuses on fun first, while delivering a moderately cliche, but interesting story. The characters are unique and charming in personality.
Magicka 2's combat system is inspired. Simple enough to quickly pick up but just complex enough to get you theory crafting and experimenting with the game mechanics. Coming up with spell combinations and creating more complex combinations with the help of friends is a blast.
Levels are replay-able and organised into chapters which makes it easy to go back and play any level a new way, with different gear or with friends. The gear in this game can change your experience dramatically, allowing you to make the game much easier or harder in this way.
The music is good, featuring medieval upbeat tunes.
P.S. I have far more than 5.5 hours on record for this game, but my hours seemed to have reset when I got a new laptop.
very overwhelming possibilities with the attacks but fun game! especially in coop
I like magic.
fix account creation plz or just release magicka 3

Great chaotic game for friends and enemies alike
Only reason why I don't have 100% in this game is that I'm too good. I just can't bring myself to grind 500 suicides.
Its really wacky and fun to play with friends
Bought it because I enjoyed the game mechanics and humor of the first game so much. Only played it single-player and had a fine experience, everything runs extremely well on my mid-range PC. Minor gameplay improvements since the first game that were much appreciated and the humor in the dialogue is still top notch albeit predictable. Only experienced a couple bugs where the game didn't know it was supposed to progress the story so I had to redo those sections.
It's working! It's working!
After Magicka 1, it's wonderful how perfectly good the new game is running. But I was puzzled by the changes to the gameplay. Useless shield spell, slow movement, cooldown on magicka usage even in "manual" mode. Frozen enemies are immune to laser spells. Why try to bring "balance" to the game and ruin it eventually? It seems more suitable for PvP than PvE. And then I found about Magicka Wizard Wars. And it's clear to me they just transferred multiplayer game mechanics to the single-player/co-op game and didn't bother to make it fun again.
I stopped playing with a friend after the 6th chapter, and we went back to Magicka 1 to complete challenges because it's so much more fun. The game field in Magicka 2 is too close and too zoomed in. There is little room to maneuver. And your player speed is slower than every enemy in the game. You can't teleport because of the cooldown, haste runs out too quickly, and there are damage sponge enemies everywhere. The shield is useless; it's only against laser spells, and I didn't see any mob using those spells. It's just not that fun compared to Magicka 1. I love to traverse the game field, I love to memorize ridiculous spell combos, and I like to see that chaos. Of course, Magicka 2 has its own moments. But the humor isn't there. Bosses are just regular enemies with big health bars. And for a sequel, it's a Iletdown, not an improvement. Bummer.
Played this with my friends recently. Best wizard game ive ever played. I hope we may get Magicka 3 someday even tho thats unlikely.
Complex magicm system but its super rewarding, better with a controller. The final boss sucks tho. Ypu cant beat them without friends.
Vlad is NOT a vampire!
Cant get past the shitty paradox crap and these awful menus and these shit settings
Picked the game up to be able to play with others, and that requires a Paradox Plaza account to do so. That in itself was irritating but doable, but unfortunately none of us could even make a Paradox Plaza account - 'Unable to connect to Paradox Servers' if attempted in-game, and infinite loading screen when attempted via Paradox's website. I suppose still playable if you're going completely solo, but the whole point of this was for a multiplayer romp, and that's currently impossible.
it made me happy/ Good. very good. 10/10
Your a not Wizard your just a 40 year old loser looking for something to play while you watch Hot tub Streams on your second monitor
The game is really fun if you have a friend or 2 to play with. The game is a lot shorter than what i thought it would be though.
game is pretty easy but a lot of fun with friends
Hardest boss is shitty soccer.
Best spell mixing game out there! plus is fast paced with only your wits (and sometimes macros) to mix the spells and effects to do what is needed in that moment. Play with friends for hilarity and even more spell damage!
Silly fun game.
BUT WHY THE FUCK IS IT SO HARD
Absoluitely love this game. Really fun gameplay mechanics and very funny.
fun game
Glitchy as all hell, and crashed my computer numerous times. Being unable to bind WASD to movement is also a major downer. UI is a total mess - trying to cast spells feels awful. I can't even enjoy discovering new spells since there's no record of them anywhere.
EXPLOSION!
this game sucks ass and destroys friendships but it's so fucking funny
