There is so little to say, it's just a good game.
If you've played the original game, it's just a different take on it but oh so nostalgic and good.

great remake of the game would definitely want more of the disney capcom games remade the same way.

I grew up with this game on the Wii U. My dad bought it for me since he watched the old show when he was little. Extremely fun if you're a fan of DuckTales or Disney in general. It's even better on PC.

Broken window scaling. Does not work on newer computers

I went into this expecting a fun little 2D platformer. IT IS NOT. THIS IS EXTREMELY HARD. Just put it on easy if you're just looking to have fun (as I did).

Now, I have never watched Ducktales besides knowing one thing or two about it, so it was not really "nostalgic" for me. Nevertheless, this is a fun game, and despite many moments of purely bullshit difficulty, I had fun! It has some great ideas, the soundtrack slaps hard and the 2D art is gorgeous,so yeah I really recommend it.
Moments like arriving on the Moon level for the first time and that beautiful ass music kicking in, specific bosses having unexpected moves that make you go "oh thats cool" and the simple story are what makes this game so enjoyable. Really fun time with it, just put it on easy.

Easily one of the best retro remakes I've gotten my hands on. A remake that not only keeps what was GOOD about the original, but adds even MORE good stuff onto it to make it a definitive pick over the original. Absolute BANGER.

Good game, as someone who have poured around 100 hours on the PS3 version, it's good to replay this on something else.

I loved the original and was looking forward to a modern update. Unfortunately, all that's been retained are the clunky aspects and all that's been updated are things that, imo, don't really matter. The animation is better quality than the original, but each character still only has about four expressions max. There's a greater range of colours, but the palette is so disjointed that it's jarring to look at. To top all this off, the voice acting is sloooooooow, not particularly good, and unskippable. It's so oddly bad that I asked for a refund the same day.

It's a good game, but not nearly as great as the duo of "overwhelmingly positive" ratings would suggest. Hit detection is wonky, and controls feel unresponsive at times. I didn't care for a couple of levels. There are dozens of platformers I would recommend first, but at the end of the day, it still has some great moments, really nails the ending, and is super charming. So, it's not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

Classic

This is genuinely one of the best games there is. I know it doesn't show much playtime here, but I actually have this on my Wii U, and this is one of the best licensed games you can get.

I'm sure 99% of people don't read the reviews. So you may not know that Naruto can be a bit harsh sometimes. You may not know this, but Naruto also grew up without a father. In fact, he never met either of his parents and never had any friends.

A solid remake, resembles the OG NES game but adds a lot more of course.
I wish I could give a neutral review, it isn't a bad game at all but I wasn't terribly fond of it after it was all said and done

Absolute nostalgia. This is a trip down memory lane and it brings back lots of happy memories. If you are a kid of the 80s or just want to see what us old fuddy duddys used to play this is a solid option. Simple, fast play style, and easy to learn and hard to master. Worth the price but if you can find it on sale, well then your smarter then the smarties cause you've worked smarter not harder. Good luck all and enjoy yourself!

Something more for the 80's/90's kids who grew up with the NES.

Relaxing, short, nostalgic. Has the original cast from the cartoon...

Something to play with the family and take turns if you do couch co-op.

Enemies respawn too fast, so no point in getting an invincibility coin that only lasts for 5 seconds anyways.

Good music, but gets too repetitive too fast because of the length of the maps.

Bought this game a while ago on the xbox 360. This game is so good, one of the best video game remakes. I've replayed this game multiple times. If you haven't played this game, please play it now.

A brilliant reimagination of an SNES classic. Way more beautiful, Way more complex, Way bigger, Way more fun, WayForward classic!
Although this is a reimagination, this game is hard. Some levels are just nasty, but it's doable.

This game was so fun. It was crazy hearing the old Cast reprising their roles again. Especially Scrooge. It was like being 10 again playing the old NES game and watching the cartoon. If they ever made the others. Chip n Dales Rescue Rangers, Tale Soin and Darkwing Duck I would buy them all.

Great hand drawn art style just like the show. I wish more NES rereleaases did something like this. My only nitpick is that it needs a no cutscene setting since it encourages several playthroughs.

Really fun way to recreate a classic!

It's alright, but I wouldn't recommend it unless it's under a really heavy discount. The original gameplay is brutal and unforgiving, but you get modern conveniences if you play on easy. Checkpoints, health, easy Pogo mode. You can walk through your nostalgia in about two hours. And it's a good reminder how a two hour game would have kids occupied for weeks because you had to restart the whole thing if you died. Extra half an hour to let the unskippable credits roll by.

BEST GAME EVER

DuckTales was one of the few games that I could beat on NES. I enjoy rediscovering it with updated graphics and animation. And the Moon Theme is still perfect.

by far my favorite game of all time and soundtrack. the levels are good and the boss fights are also good the story doesn't make sense and I don't view that as a bad thing considering it's about a cartoon so I would 100% recommend it 10/10

One of the most punishing games that I have ever played. That final level.. goodness gracious.

DuckTales! Just like I remember it!
Man, I loved the series but never played the OG game (watched it, though) and I can safely say this game is a nice reimagining of the original with some nice visuals, Voice acting and a few new characters (No Donald, though!)
Now, it's a little bit too hard due to unfair spaces between jumps and whatnot (Just like the OG) but, again, nothing much of a dealbreaker!
So, after just finishing it I can say buy it, you won't be disappointed! (although, now I really wished I was able to stop whistling the DuckTales' song ... DuckTales, WOOO OOOH!)

As a fan of the original, this game was perfect. A true modernization of a great game. Replay value is ok since you can replay on different difficulties to earn more cash to buy art, music, etc. Plus jumping into Scrooge's vault is so clutch. Now I need to go back and replay the original.

Cutscenes kill the pacing at times and knockback can be annoying, but yeah, awesome sountrack and a good reamagining of the original. Nothing too special. Pretty cool that they got all original voiceactors. Holy shit does the moon theme slap hard!

cool game, played it ages ago and decided to try it again

only complaint is there are way too many cutscenes

9.5/10 would 100% again

its ok remaster, but I have this feeling that there are some design problems some jumps just feels too far and it's hard to grab chains I had no problems finishing original but the last section of the game really pisses me off don't know why they put ridiculous race against lava at the end
