Waayy too hard ... even on "EASY". Also aged VERY badly ...
Life is like a hurricane~!
Original and remastered is best and ducktale NES is really hard game it’s just like ghost n goblin and Mega man
Nice graphics! good controls! Classic! Must have if you a fan!
one of the best classics for the Nintendo Entertament System is now in all its gloury and just as fun as I remembered it.
Pretty good, but kinda hard when played on hard xd.
Play it on normal first.
Scrooge is a greedy bastard, Great game.
The best kind of nostalgia. They absolutely crushed this remake. If you’re a fan of the original, it’s faithfully adapted here.
Love Ducktales Remastered since it first came out and its still and under rated gem today :)
Better than Diablo 4!
7/10 nice retro game
This is a really fun game! It captures the essence of the Disney we love and cherish, unlike the current Disney. I wish we could get more of those games and cartoons. Sadly it's something that we will have to just keep in memory. As such a thing is not possible in current times.
very fun classic platformer newcomers to the genre beware of the last level bc sheesh that will make you want to pull your hair out. The controls feel a little janky but can't expect much for a game originally made in 1989.
This game has some fun high points that are needlessly ruined by a frustrating last level. So much so that it makes me question how much these developers actually understand about game design. But besides the ending, it's a nice looking game, and the returning voice actors and remixed music are the best bits, but the gameplay itself is muddled by constant interruptions for boring cutscenes (the voice actors are wasted) and responsiveness that lags a few frames behind the original game. I'm glad I played it, but I'll return to the original version before I ever play this again. And seriously, eff you for placing 2 trial and error climbing scenes after the final level and final boss with no save points. I really loved playing all that over 5 times before beating it.
Really fun. Wayforward did a great job on this game, as they always do.
Absolutely amazing game!! Where's part 2?!
The soundtrack masterfully blends a classic bit-beat with a strong, modern undertone. The gameplay rivals that of top platformers such as Rayman, Mario, and Sonic. The level design, while simple, offers depth in its subtle nudge to explore each corner. The only, only thing that holds this game back: unskippable dialogue. While not cringey, the voice acting and the script are BORING.
This game is amazing. It's pretty simple, and pretty easy, but still very fun. Some of my liking towards the game might come from nostalgia, but regardlessly, I'd recommend this game, to anyone who likes jump 'n' run games.
I bought this game because I loved the NES version and was curious of how the remastered version was. I wish I could say that I loved the remaster but find it to be more of a love and hate experience.
PROS:
*The DuckTales cast.
*The game now has voice-dialogue scenes.
*Updated graphics.
*Classic Capcom platform gameplay.
*My personal favorite musical scores are "Scrooge's Office" (new track) and "The Moon."
*The pogo stick control is much simpler now.
The game supports the vibrate function.
CONS:
*Difficulty: This game involves extreme repetition and mastery in order to progress and succeed. The NES required this as well, but once mastered, the game was a walk in the park and very enjoyable. You will actually care about needing to build your life bar in order to be able to make it through the stages.
*Where are the extra treasures in the game? For example, on the moon level (upper level). In the remastered version, Uncle Scrooge is now looking for Gizmo Duck parts, where before on the NES there was a gold plate treasure on the upper level of the game that would help increase the earnings for the completion of the level. To find that this treasure was omitted from the game was very frustrating, as I was expecting to be able to collect it again (especially since you have to unlock a lot of things in the gallery mode of this game using Uncle Scrooge's collected wealth).
*I wish I did not have to keep pressing the "Start" button and have to select the option to skip a dialogue scene (especially when I am extremely frustrated about my dialogue being lost dues to a failed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th run and having to restart the level all over again). They should have put an option to skip all the voice scenes or just press any button to easily skip it.
*Mt. Vesuvius is a new level added to the game (the final level). It is a real pain to get through, and like the rest of the other stages, it feels like a real chore to complete. I played the game on "moderate" difficulty, and I found myself swearing a lot a lot while playing this level.
Childhood revival
ITS VERY OPEN WORLD AND THERS LOTS OF THINGS TO DO
It has duck, It has Moon theme, It has Magica Despell, and Alan Young it good game :>
Fun game like donkey kong and the old Ducktales games from 8 bit but with good graphics
I like it
Worth every dollar I spent on the game
Unskippable cut scenes are unforgivable
A fun remake of the NES Ducktales in a manner more faithful to the art style of the show.Would recommend playing as the legendary Scrooge Mcduck.
Awesome game! Worth every penny. Very fun and I keep going back to it. Lots of replay value.
A fairly solid remake with added cut-scenes and collection of art you can unlock.
Pros:
Solid gameplay that is more forgiving and responsive than the originals
great visuals
solid voice acting
Cons:
cutscenes are unskippable
美麗的遊戲 👍🏻
美妙嘅配樂 👍🏻
有趣嘅遊戲玩法 👍🏻
This has been one of my favorite games for a long time now, replayed a bunch of times, still as fun as the first time, such a respectful and loving remake of a classic.
DuckTales Remastered is a game that truly takes you back to childhood. The original version came out in the '90s, and for many, including my father, it was one of their favorite games on the Dendy. Now, it's been remade with improved graphics and music, but it has kept all the unique charm of the old-school style. Simple yet engaging platformer mechanics, cool levels, and familiar characters – all of this brings a sense of nostalgia and lets you dive into the atmosphere of those years. DuckTales Remastered is a perfect example of how to refresh a classic while preserving its spirit and making it accessible to new generations.
Rating (from 1 to 10)
Graphics: 8/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Music: 10/10
Story: 7/10
Replayability: 7/10
Nostalgia Factor: 10/10
Whether or not this is a game you've played as a kid or bought for your kids it doesn't matter really. The facelift and remaster of the graphics and engine has kept Duck Tails as one of the more enjoyable casual platformers out there.
This is a great remake of the NES game, although it would be nice to have a mode where you can play the game without all the new additions, just the new graphics and music.
besides the awkward keyboard controls, its fine. hard to complain when i got it on sale for $4.
quería jugar al de family y me topé con una sorpresa
Actually pretty good remaster.
Music is just as good if not better than the original. Its also pretty challenging still.
I do recommend.
Great game
No
Beyond nostalgia, not much here.
It's incredible if that's all that matters to you.
Nice platform. Excelent music. Punishing, but fair.
Wished I play the original.
7/10
- controller is not accepted
- no checkpoints (big flaw)
- uncomortable way to skip cutscenes (minor flaw)
- unprecise controls (keyboard) and collision system (medium flaw)
Summary: could have been a nice game, cute graphics, but at the end of the day it's not even worth the 3,49 Euros I paid.
It has as much to do with original NES Duck Tales gameplay as a dog with ice skates.
ms beakly is hot
I lve this game
Woo-hoo!
I played DuckTales: Remastered on my PlayStation 4 when it released in 2013, and was surprised by how much I still enjoy it now. As a remake of the classic NES game, it's short and fairly linear, but what it lacks in length, it more than makes up for in charm. The HD graphics are stunning, breathing new life into the old 8-bit sprites, and it's clear that a lot of love went into this remaster, respecting the original while enhancing it for modern audiences. The music is nostalgic and fits perfectly, and overall, the game runs smoothly on PC and Steam Deck. This is my first finished game on the Deck!
DuckTales: Remastered balances nostalgia with modern updates, and does it with ease!
For fans of the original or those who enjoy classic platformers, this is a must-play. The harder difficulty modes—especially extreme—offer a real challenge, so if you're up for it, prepare for a ride! While it’s not a long game, it’s well worth the experience.
Pros
+ Stunning HD Graphics
+ Respect for the Original
+ Challenging Difficulty Modes
Cons
- Short Length
- Linear Gameplay
wonderful remake.
top tier
As of September 23rd 2024,
Good remaster of an old classic. Sprites look great, music is good, works well.
Good for kids, they're going to love it
DuckTales Remastered is a solid 2D platformer that provides a fair challenge. I've never played the original NES DuckTales, so I don't have anything to compare this to. I can safely say that if you're looking for a fun 2D platformer that you could probably finish in a day, this game is for you.
Just.....that final sequence is unnecessarily cruel. Almost made me give up.
Woo Hoo
