poker night at the inventory 2? i hardly know'er night at the inventory 2
Simple poker game, but doesn't seem to get old. The characters have cool personalities which makes the game fun to play. I rarely win, but still come back to this.
is good, if you some how can get a hold of it
If you're looking for a fun, easy way to play poker and help learn the game, or just want a low stakes fix for poker, I can't imagine a better game. I really wish we could get a new version of this game but with TellTale gone probably won't happen. It's still worth it to this day and will run on any potato PC you have, so yeah, grab it. Worth every penny.
A shame that it is no longer for sale, Truly great poker game and truly laugh out loud funny.
Here's hoping for a poker night 3
RIP Poker Night 2, delisted from Steam :/
Good Game

Completely fine as a standard Texas hold'em poker game that's completely dependent on decade old references and quips still being meaningful.
I like poker and if you didnt already have this game I am sorry
great game. funny. cute. relaxing.
Shits & giggles
This game is good but I think Claptrap should be shot in the head. Which, admittedly, does happen with a rocket launcher sometimes in this game.
Somehow made me want to kill Claptrap with a hammer more than the Borderlands movie
The game is just lazy, the dialogue and lines are extremely limited and should be 3x the volume to keep you entertained. Its just a poker sim with fantasy players you get sick of in record time. Should have had multiple poker variants at the very least. Go play Balatro i guess.
Shut the fuck up Claptrap please.
Gotta Get Poker
(Parody of Onegai Muscle from Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ayi2CJU2xmQ
Max (from Sam & Max):
Gotta get poker!
Please, that’s all I need!
Gotta get poker!
Shuffling up the deck, YES!
Gotta get poker!
Please, that’s all I need!
I’m like, Oo (You’re winning it!)
Ha (You’re getting it!)
Please give me chips soon!
Claptrap (from Borderlands):
Raise up! Fold down!
(I’m all about the big bluffs, baby!)
The Heavy (from Team Fortress 2):
Bet hard! Call that!
(My hands are huge, no one can beat me!)
Ash Williams (from Evil Dead):
All in! Poker face!
(If you're not playing, you're out of the race!)
Max:
You can do it too! You can do it too!
Let’s raise the stakes, me and you!
Claptrap:
If you want to win big, there’s no better time to play poker!
(YES POKER!)
Heavy:
Gotta keep raising, call it, push those chips ahead!
I can feel the victory!
(Nice Poker Face!)
Ash:
Harder than it looks, but don’t fold now, let’s keep the cards flowing!
(So Poker!)
Max:
Before you rest, you must challenge the table, let’s see who’s bluffing!
(Nice Bluff!)
Max (slightly louder):
Though your hand is weak, you can still hold ‘em tight,
Bluffing through the pain, you’ll keep on trying harder!
Looking to the future, you can win this fight!
Your better side (Side) Side (Side)
(Side! Side win!)
GLaDOS (dryly):
If you think this is impressive, you clearly don’t understand how statistics work. But go ahead, keep playing. I’m sure you'll all be "winners" in your own way.
All Characters:
Gotta get poker!
Please, that’s all I need!
Gotta get poker!
Shuffling up the deck, YES!
Gotta get poker!
Please, that’s all I need!
I’m like, Oo (You’re winning it!)
Ha (You’re getting it!)
Please give me chips soon!
Claptrap:
All-in! Raise high!
(Watch this robotic hand sweep the pot!)
Heavy:
Bet big! Push hard!
(I’m bringing in the minigun, I mean chips!)
Ash:
Fold, call, or check?
(Only one way to win—go all out!)
GLaDOS (completely unimpressed):
Oh, please. I’m still trying to figure out why I’m here. But sure, go on, enjoy your little game. I’ll just sit here, calculating your inevitable defeat.
Max:
You can do it too! You can do it too!
All-in, you and me, it’s Poker Night with the crew!
End with GLaDOS sighing
“This is a waste of time.”

Dishonest Trailer
[Honest Trailer Voice, deep and dramatic]
Narrator:
From the creators of “Poker Night at the Inventory” comes a sequel that answers the question you never asked: "What if all your favorite video game characters sat down to play poker... and then made fun of you for trying?"
Get ready for...
[Screen flashes to: Poker Night at the Inventory 2 logo]
Narrator:
Poker Night at the Inventory 2! Where you can finally see what happens when video game icons and lovable weirdos take a break from saving the world to… fold a hand of cards, and make you question every decision you've ever made.
Meet the players:
[Cut to Max from Sam & Max, grinning wildly]
Narrator:
Max! The psychotic rabbit who is far more interested in the chips than the game itself.
[Cut to Claptrap from Borderlands, dancing and talking nonstop]
Narrator:
Claptrap! The self-proclaimed life of the party and probably the reason you want to mute your TV.
[Cut to Heavy from Team Fortress 2, flexing his muscles and knocking over the cards]
Narrator:
Heavy! The muscle-bound Russian who thinks poker is just another way to destroy his opponents… but with cards this time.
[Cut to Ash Williams from Evil Dead, holding up a chainsaw with a hand of cards]
Narrator:
Ash Williams! The chainsaw-wielding, one-liner dropping, deadite-slaying hero who somehow manages to make a poker game feel like a horror movie.
[Cut to GLaDOS from Portal, staring coldly]
Narrator:
GLaDOS! The sarcastic AI who is absolutely not impressed by your poker skills, but will happily ruin your day with a passive-aggressive remark.
But it’s not just the game that’s fun… it’s the endless banter.
[Cut to the characters interacting with speech bubbles popping up with their snarky dialogue]
Narrator:
Watch as these characters engage in a battle of wits, trash talk, and absolutely no respect for the game of poker. But hey, it’s all about the journey, right?
[Cut to Max acting like he’s winning with a terrible hand]
Narrator:
Experience the sweet taste of victory... or the crushing feeling of defeat, depending on how Max’s hand magically beats yours for no reason at all.
[Cut to Claptrap making ridiculous statements]
Narrator:
And listen to Claptrap spew his non-stop nonsense, while Heavy tries to get through a single hand without breaking everything in sight.
[Cut to Ash pulling off a ridiculous bluff]
Narrator:
Watch Ash outwit everyone, all while carrying a chainsaw in one hand and being cooler than you’ll ever be in the other.
[Cut to GLaDOS saying something completely condescending]
Narrator:
And let’s not forget GLaDOS, who will passively-aggressively tell you how terrible you are at poker, while she’s quietly plotting your demise from behind a screen. Is it sarcasm? Or is she actually trying to kill you?
Will you be able to beat these legendary characters at their own game? Or will you just fold under the pressure of their witty and relentless banter?
[Cut to a series of close-ups of the characters laughing while the player looks frustrated]
Narrator:
Poker Night at the Inventory 2. Where you’ll learn that bluffing is easy, but playing poker with these legends? Impossible.
[Suddenly, a quick cut to GLaDOS]
GLaDOS (dryly):
If you think you’re actually going to win, I’ve already calculated your defeat. Spoiler alert: you lose.
Narrator (sarcastically):
Yeah, thanks for that, GLaDOS. We totally didn’t see that coming...
[Cut to heavy slamming down chips while laughing maniacally]
Narrator:
Grab your seat, try your best to bluff your way through this chaos, and remember... victory is only as good as your last poker face. And in this game? It’s never good.
[Screen fades to black]

Ryan George Style Pitch Meeting
Publisher:
So, you have a poker game for me?
Game Designer (Ryan with glasses):
Yes, sir! It’s Poker Night 2! You’re playing poker with legendary characters like Claptrap from Borderlands, Ash Williams from Army of Darkness, Sam from Sam & Max, and Brock Samson from The Venture Bros. They all have tons of hilarious things to say as you play!
Publisher (leaning forward):
Okay, so it’s poker, but with a bunch of cool characters. What’s the twist here?
Game Designer (excitedly):
Well, it’s Texas Hold’em, but with all these amazing characters constantly interacting with you, cracking jokes, trash-talking, and messing with your strategy! You can even bribe them with drinks, which affects their gameplay—some get more aggressive, others get distracted. You never know what’ll happen!
Publisher (blinks, confused):
Wait, so... you can bribe the characters with drinks during the game?
Game Designer (grinning):
What?
Publisher (slowly):
You give them drinks to influence the way they play poker?
Game Designer (shrugs):
What?
Publisher (confused but intrigued):
Well, okay then.
Game Designer (excitedly):
Great!
Publisher:
So you’re just playing poker, but with characters and drinks? What’s the reward?
Game Designer (confidently):
You unlock exclusive items for other games like Team Fortress 2 and Borderlands 2. Hats, skins, new heads—tons of stuff for your favorite games. Plus, there are fun mini-games, like rock-paper-scissors to break up the action!
Publisher (pauses):
I see. So, poker... but with personalities, mini-games, and unlockable rewards for other games?
Game Designer (nodding enthusiastically):
Exactly! You get to play poker, chat with crazy characters, and unlock rewards for other games. It’s all about the experience!
Publisher (leaning in, impressed):
Okay, so poker, mini-games, and unlockables... sounds fun!
Game Designer (grinning):
Exactly! It’s poker... with personality!
The best texas holdem poker game out there. Shame that Telltale Games is gone now.
playing this at age 13 turned me into a degenerate gambler for life
10/10 would recommend
Be me:
- Complete Bounty Challenges and Proceed to next Tournament
- Do really well and get down to a 1v1 with Sam
- Sam only has 1600 Chips left, can only go all-in and has almost no shot at victory
- Glados proceeds to let him every hand
- Sam now has the same amount of chips as I do
- I go All-in to try to finally end game on a gamble
- Sam wins the Tournament
- Alt + F4
- Uninstall
I don't think I'll ever mentally and emotionally recover from this blunder.
I absolutely recommend this game... if it was available to purchase anyways.
very fun
This is the game that got me into poker,, Ive played this game since 2014. I mainly did it for the tf2 items
The characters has to much bla bla of talking nonsense and bad jokes. It is just annoying for a poker game.
Poker night 3????????
yurt
Game is rigged, when you win, the game will change the cards to make sure you lose, no wonder it went under, and than even when you have a winning hand, it'll still let the AI bots win regardless of what hand you have .. It'll just simply make your hand one less so the bot can win lmao. stupid as shit.
got this for the items. Go all in every time and win too easy
Good
GlaDOS dealing cards attests to the beauty of humanity
Also Peak Gambling Experience
My beautiful wife and I got all of the achievements on this game. We dealt poker for 3 years, so I guess you could say we are kinda pros ;)
Pretty good if you Like Gambling like Nick from Left 4 dead 2
or either Hunting for items for Team Fortress 2, this game is for that same with the first one
me Personally i just play this game for fun, & i don't gamble but the experience is overhaul Decent,
Also if you have any Gambling experiences, i would recommend buying this and the first one,
but i recommend playing the first game before you play the 2nd one.
Fun poker game. A lot of talking from the characters thats quite immersive and fun. Sadly the oneliners are getting a bit repetitive. Give it a try on a sale or smth. :)
Im on a quest of at least trying every game in my library, of which I got plenty from all kinds of bundles, not all though. If you are interested in my journey, check out my other reviews :)
A very entertaining introduction to Omaha and Texas Hold'em poker with well written dialogue. Well worth the asking price!
I love the banter between the characters, this is the only game that never fails to put a smile on my face or just crack me up!
One day it will be $1000 to buy the first game from key sellers. I will be the dumb one who buys it and doesn't receive the key.
i miss these games badly
The NPCs make such stupid choices to the point where all fun is sucked out of the game.
Telltale come back to us ;-;
i like gambling
Fun.
