An extremely fun game, runs good on the deck "45-60fps" on medium to high settings especially that it supports HDR. but the visuals are even better on pc.

remove the battlepass and premium currency and for the love of god do something to fix the multiplayer, this should be a insta-hit considering the dry spell of extreme sports game on steam but leave it to you guys to ruin a wet dream lol

Freaking fabulous game! this game hits the right spots. If you're fan of extreme sports, you cant go wrong with buying and adding this game to your gaming collection. If I had to describe this game in one word, id say this game is just WILD. From bike racing, to snowboarding to wearing a wingsuit and going crazy in the sky. You name it, this game has it. Also, if you're an old school fan of the glory days of Tony Hawk pro skater, im sure this game can take you way back and scratch that itch for you.

Pros

- very fun races
- huge variety of races, and some races are mixed (go from a bike rice to a snowboarding race, etc.. ) the transitions are fluid
- the multiplayer is very alive and pretty neat to see people going crazy doing tricks
- the vibe on this game is something else I feel like a kid again
- free roam is one of my fav things and honestly one of the best things this game has going
- Ubisoft can still make good games after all (if they wanted to that is)

cons
- at the time of this review nothing really but if I wanted to nitpick Id say, you can see micro-transactions here and there, but nothing game killer

- I can also add this is an Ubisoft game..oh well!

After playing and watching Steep for years and absolutely loving it, I didn’t hesitate to grab Riders Republic the moment it dropped on Steam. I don’t regret it one bit.

I’m someone who usually hates competitive gaming, yet somehow I genuinely enjoyed jumping into multiplayer events, both in Steep and now here. The game is just that fun. It's energetic, chaotic in the best way, and packed with moments that make you smile.

Unfortunately, due to some issues with my PC, I haven’t been able to play it as much as I’d like, but every session I did manage was a blast.

If I had to complain about something, it would definitely be the premium in-game currency and the pricing of items tied to it, along with how much that currency costs in real money. That part feels a bit off.

Aside from that, though, it’s a great game. If you’re even slightly curious, definitely give it a try. It’s worth it.

What a flop and waste of potential! I’m not a Ubisoft hater and I’m definitely not on the popular hate train, but oh my did they miss the mark here. To enjoy the game they force you to buy the complete edition and on top of that the game is so hard to learn. FUNNIEST PART is I would never have refunded it if it was steam deck verified, BUT THE UBISOFT LAUNCHER AND ALWAYS ONLINE FEATURES MAKE THE GAME UNPLAYABLE ON LINUX like R6. Honestly I would rebuy if it was on sale for $1 but any price above that is a SCAM. 😡😡🗑️🗑️♻️♻️

its a fun game the issue is my game crashed after a couple of minutes in the game

i bought the fat bike i could have used that money for my mothers cancer treatment

Eternity of unskipable cut scenes when you first boot up the game, showing nothing but game play. How about instead of SHOWING me gameplay, you just let me PLAY the fucking game?

Honestly, there's no other game like this one. The map is really big with different biomes and just free roaming is really fun. Learning tricks is also very cool and you feel proud when you master stuff that looks very hard to do. The mass races are addictive, seeing so many players around you falling while you somehow manage to stay on your bike and gain speed is a GREAT feeling. It also looks great and perfect game for chilling with some playlist in the background, feels like actually taking a trip to the US to visit some cool places. Because, yeah, the map actually have some real places, so you're even learning some irl stuff wich is always cool.

So let me get this right if I want the year 2 3 or 4 pack I have to buy Ubisoft fun bucks and buy it in the game -_- how anti gamer is that shit

1. Play game for the first time in a while
2. Cycle to the nearest event on the map and talk with NPC
3. Get a dialogue box saying that you need to BUY the "carreer pack" to play the content.

It simply is not fun. Clunky gameplay mechanics, slow cutscenes and menu animations. Overall feels clunky and aimed for kids.

Broooo this game is craaazy!! You ever just fly off a mountain in a wingsuit while dodging trees and thinking, “Yup, this is where I belong”? That’s Riders Republic. It’s like the world said “go outside,” and the game said “bet — I’ll bring the whole outdoors to your screen.”

You can ride bikes super fast, do backflips off cliffs, snowboard through snowstorms, and rocket yourself into the sky with a jetpack thingy. And there are like 60 people racing next to you at once, all crashing and flying and trying to win. It’s chaos. Beautiful chaos.

Things I love:
• Big open world — feels like a giant playground
• Bikes go zoom zoom
• Snowboards go shwoooosh
• Wingsuits make you feel like Iron Man’s cool cousin
• You can dress your character up in the goofiest outfits and no one judges you

Things I don’t like (but I still love it anyway):
• Sometimes it lags when a million people are flying into trees
• You need internet all the time
• I hit a rock and flew 20 feet… it was funny but also rude

Final Words:
This game made me yell “WOOO” out loud in my room by myself. If you want fun, speed, and a little madness, play this. Ride everything. Fall a lot. Laugh more.

after i open riders republic it takes me to a pop up to login or create an account with ubisoft, when i try create an account it says "this content may not be accessed at this time"

Tried the game and ended up refunding it.
Maybe if you wanted to play with friends for a while, you could grab in on sale.

The game feels kind of soulless.
There is a special “Zen Mode,” supposedly, but the overall vibe is full-on action all the time — constant loud music and non-stop driving. The map is full of bots with fake player names mixed in with real players.

The gameplay kind of mimics Forza Horizon — pick a race and go, and after a race or level-up it randomly gives you some gear.
I didn’t see any preview of what you can unlock by leveling up, so there’s no real motivation to grind. And pretty much everything in the store costs premium currency.

On top of that, for a 2023 game, it’s weirdly rough.
It opens with unskippable, low-quality pre-rendered cutscenes for several minutes. Then a quick tutorial — which I got stuck in and couldn’t get out of.

Visually, some parts look nice, others really don’t.
Your character, for example, looks like something from GTA in 2013 (even though there’s character customization and outfits to unlock — but you can’t preview them, so you have no idea what you’re working toward).

Honestly, I’d rather just reinstall Steep.

Pretty fun game, its just annoying how you kind of need a controller to be good at the game cause the pc controls are smellier than a giant piece of rotten poo

i love the diverse amount of sports activities that you can do, weather its fictional like the hoverboard, intense like the mountain biking, or calm like the paragliding.

I will change this to a yes when they make the other sports dlc free, literally finish the game in 6 hours unless you buy dlc...

its honestly really fun, ive played 6 ish hours so far and i like the diversity of everything, theres so many different ways to play the game, not realistic tho if thats what ur looking for

Riders Republic is more accessible than its predecessor Steep in terms of gameplay, and has a much stronger emphasis on multiplayer content (as of 2025). The game design is significantly less opaque than Steep, but the sense of atmosphere does suffer due to this. The music is very annoying. Do NOT forget to try out the different control schemes!
Mass Races are the most fun for me, but I noticed an irritating repetition in the content of them over about 6 weekly rotations that I played, for an ostensibly live-service game. I don't see any reason why there shouldn't be 1 entirely newly-designed Mass Race in a completely different location every 2 weeks or so.
I think a fair price/content ratio for this game is the 360 Edition for $16 (which is what I bought lol) - you get the hoverboard and skateboarding, which are both essential imo, but not the unnecessary BMX career missions (you can still obtain several BMX bikes for free roam) or year 1 toy set (there are plenty of free events to try out toys from all years, and decide if you want to purchase them later). I'd say definitely also pick up Steep for under $5, to discover which style of game you prefer.

This game has the absolute worst controls of any game I have ever played hand down! If I have to search online how to rotate WITHOUT doing a flip, only to find hundreds of other people trying to figure out the same thing... then you failed as a developer.

This couldn't be a bigger step back from Steep. I thought we were all trying to get away from old school tony hawk style controls. You mean to tell me that I can't just do a floater 180?? ...or a stalled out bio 540? Nope!! This game only has ONE speed for all flips making it look absolutely stupid.

As for the skateboarding, it is nothing but an intermediary "solution" while we all wait for Skate. (3)

the game is super fun, it's the kind of game that makes you want to play forever, graphics are good but don't expect any realism in terms of physics, overall It's an amazing game

as usual not a single game in this world is worth its original price, if you see this game on sale for a price you can afford easily then go for it, fun gameplay, yes some features are locked behind a pay wall like the skateboards and many cool stuff, but still even free to play this game has a lot to offer, its a cool game to sink 1 or 2 hours to per day when you come home from work, its very fun and visually pleasing, the optimization is good enough, i really recommend it if you want to chill to your favorite music while just riding aimlessly or doing very fun races.

Its very fun, but it's easy. There's no real skill to it persay. The perfect game for some, but there are more realistic simulator versoins out there (shredders). But if you're looking for an arcade game with great graphics this is the one.

very fun ragdoll system and satisfying biking and skiing

I like its, its like Tony Hawk pro skater on steroids. There's just about every extreme sport. Very fun to pass time with or break old records. lots of players on at the same time, always a new challenge or race. i'm pretty happy with it.

this game is perfect for people that wanna get better at riding in real life so you can learn the form and that but the only down side is you have to grind and i know people hate grinding so thats the only down side
